But...because they are down the street, I gave them some play anyway. Turns out, they ate cheaper than my usual nailer. Now I see why.​ The polish on my toes were lumpy, and started peeling after a week. My usual pedi polish last a month-2. Today went there to get my hands and toenails painted for Christmas as soon as I walk through the door the door hadn't even closed yet they were already putting me in the chair not giving me a chance to pick colors or even inquire about how much the total service was going to cost... soon as I walked in they were ready to put me in a chair so when I finally got a price quoted I was told that the fingernails were going to be $15 and the toenails were going to be $20 total $35- exactly what I expected to pay So, after they kept rushing me into a seat I sat down and some woman just came in and just started slapping acrylic on my nails when I didn't even ask for an acrylic service first of all I'm a chef I'm not even supposed to wear fake nails because of the risk of physical contamination falling into the food they were just supposed to polish my natural nail so what they did was without question or anything they just started putting acrylic on my nails that's how she was able to extract the extra $15 out of me so instead of getting my hands and feet done for $35 she is charged me $35 for the hands because of acrylic that I didn't even ask for. That's when I figured, well of course, by then it was too late, but I figured that that they were only taking advantage of the Holiday Rush, the holiday spirit and the money that people tend to spend on the holidays so what I did when I got home, I reported them to ICE for fraud. I suggest you all do the same. P.S. And THEY pick your colors for you. So you're better off bringing your own polish, because the choices are limited as it is, but they pick what they want you wear. Once I went in and got gel polish removed and she was so rough she put a dent/pit in one of my nails that took a while to grow out. I've also had two different people clip my cuticles so aggressively I bled, which has never happened to me anywhere else. The last time it wouldn't stop bleeding where she cut me and instead of waiting a few more minutes she started to paint over the cut, at that point I had it and told her to just remove the color and left. I don't want to constantly leave a place worrying if I'm going to get an infection because they gave me an open wound. In addition they take appointments but then don't actually hold a spot for you, so you either have to wait a while or awkwardly sit in a pedicure chair to get a mani. It's a shame, I hardly get my nails done anymore because there's no good spots nearby.

I'm not even currently in the office, and all of my colleagues want to see my nails whenever we hop on zoom meetings. Lina is such a sweetheart and I genuinely enjoy my appointments with her. I always make sure to let her know what I'm looking for prior to the appointment just so she can be prepared with colors, supplies, and appropriate time and whatnot. Originally, I planned to get a gel manicure but, once May saw that my cuticles were in excellent shape she asked me if I just wanted a color change instead. After reassessing my nails, I decided that she was right and a color change would suffice. Immediately, I was told to sit at her aunt's station ( I believe that's who she said she was). I picked my new color (DND #78, for reference and it's one of the same colors I get constantly) while the old color was being soaked off. During the polishing process, I noticed that the woman doing my nails kept checking and reapplying layer after layer after layer of both clear and color polish interchangeably. Plus, she seemed to keep me under the UV light for an interesting amount of time. However, I've been to May mannnnnyyyy times to the point where May's mom knows my mom and I when we come even if we're not together! Plus, I constantly use the same DND gel polish brand because I love how it looks and shines afterward. So, DESPITE my gut feeling, I chalked it up to her being a perfectionist and just trying to make sure she did an excellent job... THIS IS WHERE I FUCKED UP AND SHOULD'VE LISTENED TO MY GUT TELLING ME SOMETHING WAS WRONG AND SHE CLEARLY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING‍. Nonetheless, on Thursday 4/25/19, I woke up and while getting ready to start my day I noticed that my nail color had turned a nasty black color. Naturally, I thought I was just tripping and showed my mom. She agreed that they didn't look right at all. I decided that I would just go back after work and see if they could help me. Since they did the work, no disrespect or rudeness necessary because accidents happen. Plus, I'm not one of the ratchet people that show my ass when I have a problem (maybe I should've this time, ya think?). No big deal tho, right? WRONG!! After work on Thursday, I went in and May's mom greeted me as usual, the woman who did the job was not there. Nonetheless, I explained what happened, what was going on, and that I was just there literally 24 hours prior. I explained that I don't work around chemicals, I hadn't worn dark colors, I didn't dye my hair, or anything else she tried to insinuate that I had done. Initially, she played dumb (no surprise there). Then she went even farther to call me a liar while laughing and saying "Oh well NOBODY paint nail like that, you did it. Pay for color change." After which she rudely dismissed me ( as these type of businesses usually do when you don't spend money or when you have an issue that they caused). My thumb on my left hand has the most damage and when you run your finger across the nail it's unevenly polished (the nail she kept layering the most BTW), my left middle finger also has a bit of damage and is uneven, and the cuticle areas around the other 3 fingers is also damaged slightly. On my right hand, my thumb is the most damaged and the other four fingers area damaged around the cuticle area. It is now late Friday night/ Saturday morning, and over the past few hours I have noticed that there has been some tingling going on around the edges of my fingers. Which,I will attribute to this horrible paint job because that's the only thing that has changed within the last 72 hours. So, I'll just soak them off myself rather than wasting money somewhere else. Moral of the story, ladies don't believe the hype of these reviews about this place because as soon as an issue arises they will be quick to play dumb and dismiss you. Anybody can polish nails BUT, can they provide excellent customer service and a resolution besides making you pay when they know damn well you didn't do anything on your end? Blessings!
