The…read morefirst day wearing it, I was dining at a restaurant near a fireplace with the parka on the back of the chair..upon arriving home I noticed one of the sleeves had been burnt/melted. Fairly large area had been scorched and I wasn't sure what the best option was going to be in terms of repair. I brought the parka to Main Line Fabric Care, showed them the damage, told them I'd like to try to repair it and left things in their hands. I just picked up the parka and I am so thrilled with the work. They were able to patch over the damage with a color matched piece and the work is impeccable. The challenges included addressing the then-popular puffy shoulders and long lace sleeves, as well as increase its length to fit a 5'8" woman. Janice was acutely aware of the task and rose to the challenge. Her skilled and gifted hand delivered the most beautiful wedding dress I was so proud to wear. I asked the tailor to fit the pants to make them tapered and fitted meaning from the waist , thighs down to the ankles. He said yes no problem. When I tried them on it was awful. He just tapered at the ankle nothing done at the thighs And the taper at the ankle was so tight I could barely get my leg through. Then the one leg is tighter than the other. Omg I would be laughing if I hadn't paid good money for this work. It looks like some badly made HAMMER PANTS The suit jacket.... He just shortened the arms without adjust the shoulder width. This tailor has no idea what to do with suits. I am going back to demand my money back. I wish I could give ZERO STARS. ----------- 6/6/24 11:00am Disappointing all around. Brought in a suit I needed adjusted for a ln event on a certain date. All that was communicated. They promised they could get everything done. Waited for 45 mins while he helped other customers. Had to leave and go buy off the rack for my event. Finally came back for suit and he tried to charge me for work that was NEVER done. Ridiculous.
