Neither was bad, but neither really stood out, especially for the price. Personally, I think Jersey Mike's gives you a better value and more meat for the money. One thing I did really like was the fries . they were crispy and probably the best part of the meal. The sandwiches themselves just felt a little light on portions considering the cost. Another thing I noticed is that the place always seems understaffed. Every time I stopped in, it looked like only one or two people were trying to handle everything, so service could be a little slow. Not terrible by any means, but for the price point I expected a little more. Right now, I'd probably still choose Jersey Mike's over Capriotti's.

Well a few weeks ago, I saw that this location was opening up and today was the day I got to see if the memories I had were accurate. To my surprise today was their actual grand opening and I was their first customer! Love that they offer up more vegetarian options other than just bread with vegetables. They have veggie turkey slices as well as impossible cheesesteaks. I ordered the veggie turkey sub and a large fries. Yes fries! First bite into the sandwich and it was apparent they have been consistent over the last decade - everything was exactly as I remember! The bread is fluffy but has chew. The produce is fresh and the veg slices added the right balance and satiation for a cold sandwich. The fries came in a separate bag and The cup they came in was larger than my drink! The bag still felt heavy when I took the cup out and a quick peek in revealed about 20+ more fries! The staff and owners were delightful and very kind- though I may have been just as excited to be their first customer as they were to see the first customer. Best sandwich shop title goes to this place!

The staff: The staff here is friendly and has patience with the customers. They smile, talk, and joke around with their customers. Cleanliness: This sub shop is clean with no garbage on the floors, counters, or on the tables. Prices: The prices at this sub shop are fairly decent that range from $6.99 and up for a half sub. Ham & Cheese: The bread is soft, and the American cheese is good. However, the ham is a little too salty for me. Chicken Parm: The chicken is soft topped off with the marinara sauce. The cheese is melted on top of the chicken. Chicken cheesesteak: They make the best chicken cheesesteak here and is by far one of the best that I have ever tried. The chicken is cooked to perfection with the onions and green peppers. The melted Swiss cheese and ketchup makes this sub even better. Honey turkey: The honey turkey sub is made to perfection. The bread is soft, the honey turkey is delicious and when it is topped off with lettuce, tomato, mayo and banana peppers. Mac Salad: The mac salad is good and does not taste salty or anything. Overall: This is one of the best sub shops in Edison, and I have made this sub shop my weekly routine for lunch. I will most likely keep coming here and try out the other subs and menu items.

$8 for two chicken sliders, a handful of fries, and a mini soda? Count me in. I was pleasantly…read moresurprised by the quality of the chicken, the softness of the slider buns, and the crispiness of the fries. I was offered "regular or spicy" sliders while ordering - I chose spicy. The flavor of the orange colored sauce was good (nothing to write home about) and the spice level was only a 2 out of 10 for me (it might as well have just been the regular sliders). I took my meal to-go, because the location itself doesn't have the greatest ambiance. It looks pretty cool - high ceilings, relatively clean surfaces and floors, bright orange paint around the ordering counter... But there wasn't any background music or TVs - so when you walk into a place that has zero customers dining-in and chatting, it's not the most inviting atmosphere. Overall, this is a cool spot with 1) extremely prompt service - I was inside for just under two minutes between ordering and taking my to-go bag of food 2) good quality halal chicken and 3) great pricing for a quick lunch or light dinner!

Holy burger has crazy high ratings for a burger place, so needing a quick bite in the area I went…read moreto check it out. Walking in the register was closed with a sign that just said to use the tablet to order. Going to the tablet there were a good number of disparities from the posted menu on the wall, most of which may have been the same, but were unclear from their descriptions. Things just didn't match up, and that included the prices of things. The board read $3 to make a combo, but the tablet had it at $5.50 for example. The descriptions of the burgers didn't fully describe what was in the burgers as they had on the board, which we have already determined to be dubious. I managed to ask someone for help when they were serving someone else. I found out the burgers use American cheese and so I wanted to substitute. Apparently the solution was to mark "no cheese" and "extra cheddar cheese" which adds another $2.50 to the total. Add-ons have now increased the price by $8! The burger started at $13.50. At this point I get my food and the flavor is good enough, but while the menu board advertised short rib and lamb, it was indistinguishable from ground beef, and I'm unsure if I just got well-done ground beef. The seasoned fries were very plain tasting. I couldn't taste any seasoning on them at all actually, but they were crispy. When you end up pay $25 for a middle of the road burger with fries and a drink at what should be a quick lunch spot, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, fortunately not literally. The meal was worth maybe half the price, but I likely won't be coming back to give it that second chance, which is unfortunate considering the other high reviews.
