The office staff is very nice. For any reason if I cannot answer their call, they leave a voicemail and send an email. I never had to try to get a hold of them. I refer almost all of my friends who are looking for professional tax specialists. I had to switch maybe 3-4 tax specialists until I was referred to this office. I felt like other tax specialists were just filing my taxes before just to get over with. They never asked questions about what is coming into my account and what is going out of it and for what purpose. Since this office is added to my QuickBooks, they analyze the account activity. I have used TurboTax and H&R Block in the past, years later I realize that I never knew all tax benefits that I was eligible for. I never got any tax returns. Uncle Sam would never give me. You can use self-service platforms only if you know exactly what you are doing. My situation is not that simple, I have multiple 1099 like forms, W2, tax forms from trading platforms like Webull and TD AmeriTrade from stock trading, so I need a professional eye to go through them. They service individual and corporate clients, so I believe no client is too small or too big for them. Give it a try!

Was I scammed or was it incompetence? If any one out there…read morehas had a negative experience with the Forest Hills CPA Mr. Torres, please give me your feedback, I'd love to know about your experience. Update: * On April 1, 2025 I entered into a verbal agreement with Edward Torres, CPA PC Tax & Accounting Services for the "xxxxxxxxxxxx" trust taxes to be prepared and filed to the IRS before the 2024 tax due date deadline. * A tax extension was filed by this CPA to the IRS, but the CPA failed to file the taxes by the extension filing date deadline. * At the initial meeting with him I left the previous year tax returns and any other data that I thought would be helpful in completing the preparation/filing of the trust taxes. * At that meeting Mr. Torres requested two additional items/documents, which the trustee (me), later that day I complied and emailed the CPA the two (2) attached documents, that he had requested. * I have the copies of emails that reflects the requested documents were sent to the CPA, and I also have an email acknowledgment/reply from Mr. Torres. * What I believe happened is a matter of plain old incompetency. * Mr. Torres for whatever the reason erred/failed to file taxes on behalf of the trust by the tax deadline. * When I confronted him he chose to tell a bogus story that he needed more information about the beneficiaries of the trust in order to complete the tax filing task. * He blamed me, saying that the taxes were not prepared and filed by him because I neglected to contact him and supply him the documentation that he requested/needed to complete the taxes. * If that were true, why did he not contact me concerning his documentation needs before the tax filing deadline? * Something I would expect any professional to do. * There is no record of any communication between Mr. Torres and me until after the filing deadline had passed. * You would expect that a professional CPA that was charging a total fee of $2500.00 to complete the taxes, would contact the client, reminding/requesting from the client any missing docs. * That did not happen. * As trustee I am also the sole beneficiary of the above trust and he had all my trustee, and beneficiary information including my tax ID number and the original trust documentation to work with/from. * There are no other listed beneficiaries besides me that have any standing. * He also had a copy of the managed fund yearly statements for the tax year of 2024 where every penny of the trust money is invested. * I also provided him with a copy of the previous years tax return that he could use as a template and simply update the data for the 2024 tax year. * All the necessary info was in the previous years tax filing document forms. * Besides capital gains, no money was withdrawn from the trust fund during the year of 2024. * Unfortunately, my dealings with Mr. Torres was like talking to a brick wall, and is one of the most exasperating, frustrating, people I have encountered. * The question is, why did he not contact me to remedy his so called missing docs. * The reason, he just screwed up, forgot about me, and failed to prepare the trust taxes! * That's the reason he didn't contact me. * Mr. Torres attempted to twist my account version, to justify and hide his failure. * If we are to believe his version of this story to be true, (again) "why did he not contact me for the additional documents that he needed?" * At this latest meeting he did offer to complete my taxes but I would still have to pay him $2000.00 for the task which I no longer felt was viable. * Furthermore, I would still be responsible for any tax late fees incurred. * You know the expression "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me". * I asked for the $500.00 fee back but he refused to give it to me. I'D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR OPINIONS, PLEASE TELL, ME WHAT YOU THINK!

This team is very knowledgeable and helps make sure everything is done correct. Even the pricing was thoroughly explained and honestly it was money well spent. Tax expertise at its best! Back in 2025, I desperately needed to find a certified public accountant…read more(CPA) to handle my taxes. I had a sensitive and unique issue that could only be addressed by a CPA. But not just any CPA, I needed someone that was knowledgeable and would be able to defend their work in case of an audit. After searching around, I came across Ahad & Co and what a relief and blessing they are. I simply called them, explained my issue, then I was connected with one of their professionals. The CPA confirmed that it was something they could tackle and we began the process. At the time, I was working with Tarikur, an absolute treasure to work with! He explained what needed to be done, asked all pertinent questions, and guided me thru the process. In the end, I came back with an awesome refund, and greater than that, I had a peace of mind with regard to my situation. Fast forward to 2026, I did not hesitate to have them prepare my taxes again. Unfortunately, Tarikur is no longer there, but I was assisted by Akram. There were some delays but he completed my taxes before the deadline and his did a great job preparing everything. I found it very easy to review my return and understand his rationale for his preparation. Furthermore, I received a great return again and I could not be more pleased! Aside from my experience with the staff, I really appreciate their customer portal. There is no need to email anything because you can upload all of your documents to their secure portal. You can also chat with your rep, pay your invoices, and download your returns, all in one place. I especially appreciated that as a returning customer, all my documents were there, so Akram was able to see what was done last year. Super efficient! In terms of pricing, they will seem high if you are used to doing your own taxes or maybe you've gone to a local tax preparer. However, it's important to understand that these are true tax experts who can navigate any situation, so you're in good hands. If you are dealing with a sensitive tax situation and want a peace of mind, I highly recommend using them. I will definitely be returning in the future, even if I do not have a sensitive situation, as I truly appreciate their service. Thank you Ahad & Co.!

I reached out to them months later inquiring about the filing for another matter and they casually informed me they never filed them. They offered plenty of excuses, blamed me for filing them within the legal submission parameters (i.e. on/by April 15th), and offered zero compensation for their egregious error. They actually proceeded to charge me the full amount to file and even expected me to pay the late-filing & extension fees that I incurred as a direct and sole result of an accounting firm's inability to file taxes! Every single representative I have dealt with is allergic to accountability and deals exclusively in excuses. Shameful and unprofessional behavior all around... especially from Edderkys Gonzalez and the ceo, Ahad Ali. He is full of excuses all while admitting they screwed up. They offered $100 off of preparation service for this year...I immediately declined. Then they offered $200 off and I immediately declined. That is a fraction of what they cost me already from last year in late penalties alone and the ceo told me the absolute most he could discount tax preparation at his own company was $200. Clearly a lie. He's the ceo of a small, private, company...not the ceo of Goldman Sachs.

When i say with him, he told me straight up "you messed up man, but im here to help." Dont worry about the specifics of what I did. Just know that he helped me feel comfortable and got me through it. If you are self employed, work in the TLC taxi or FHV of NYC, this guy knows his stuff. And for all the people wondering, NO, it's not $60 to file like TurboTax or HRBlock. But keep in mind.... You get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor and go to the people that actually study the changing US Tax laws. Tax Genius knows what they're doing.

I've used this office for two years and am honestly shocked to realize how fraudulent this business…read moreis. I was adamant about hiring a CPA because I had issues with a non professional in the past. Jugdeep knew this, yet he misrepresented himself, I've since confirmed he does NOT have a CPA license by a quick license lookup. Until recently, he was pleasant, I even posted him on TikTok and brought him clientele in the past. I moved out of the country last August, he knew this, his attitude recently turned VERY nasty. After giving me the run around and asking for more documents (which I sent immediately), he completely snapped. He told me to send someone in my place to come sign my papers, when I tried to coordinate a time for someone to sign, he told me verbatim: "I don't want to do your taxes. Find someone else. Your taxes are a mess." Like why would you tell me to have someone sign and then tell me you're busy on the day I said I can send someone, and then tell me you don't want to do them? He waited until the literal day before my taxes were due to bail, knowing I was out of the country. A real professional would never desert a client like that. I am very pleasant and respectful, so because you don't know how to do my taxes because you're not a real cpa, you decided to be nasty with me? How mature. There were major red flags I should have listened to: He gives clients business cards with flash drives and insists we don't use email because it "leaves a trail." My business is 100% legit, so this is a huge red flag for illegal activity. Secondly, I was audited last year, and the numbers never made sense. I now believe he was the cause. I've dealt with a fraudulent tax preparer before who actually ended up in prison for fraud, this experience feels exactly the same. I am reporting him to the IRS OPR and the New York OPR. I dodged a bullet by looking into him, but please, save yourself the trouble and go to a real professional. Judging by his responses to all the negative comments I'm sure he will deflect and somehow turn this on me which is fine, I was 100% honest with this review. You can deflect your business practices to the law, I genuinely would have never went to him had I read the negative reviews.

This was hands down the most painful, expensive, and unecessarily stretched out tax process we have…read moreever experienced in our decades of filing taxes. Save yourself $1500+ and go to H&R block because the outcome will be the EXACT same, except you'll be done in 2 hours rather than 4+ months and pay $500. H&R block will also do the actual work for you in front of you rather than you needing to do Excel sheets and use a 1990s-style portal to upload YOUR work and NEVER meet a human once. Why is this acceptable and 2k? We had a unique tax issue and despite the fee, the answer was call the IRS. Isn't that what they are supposed to do? We should have known when they were pushing for us to do an extension from day 1 when we NEVER needed one before them. All it did was create unnecessary stress and prolong the torture by 4 more months. The amount of back and forth for things that could have been done and handled in person was quite unbelievable. As part of the outageous fee, they were supposed to go over last year return to make sure we got the best return, but either they never did it or H&R Block did a great job to begin with (which I believe is the latter). All in all, this was $1800 down the drain and almost 9 months of absolutely unnecessary waste of time and money to not have any quality help and better outcome than the chain places. When I told friends and coworkers the amount we were charged, they thought it was plain outrageous. When I told them the time and outcome, they thought it was plain insanity. They were right on both. Should you still choose torture, make sure you download your tax by November 30th as it will be gone and they will CHARGE you for your OWN return.
