Got a PA ( which usually means good care) who had zero compassion/empathy. He did nothing but complain about the care I was given earlier in the week. I sliced a dime sized piece of skin off my finger. When he left the room to get a shot prepared, I realized I didn't want him touching me. I walked out after meeting him in the hallway and giving him an evaluation of his care, holding a piece of gauze on my finger, dripping blood down my arm and onto the floor. The very caring receptionist asked me to wait while she got the manager, who got me another provider to help me out. I still refused the shot and they offered me a less invasive treatment. The manager got me some water and graham crackers, good idea as that much panic could case shock. Thus a mixed review. read more

This place is pathetic. Using wannabe doctors (Dawn Israel Castle) to diagnose problems. The girl that took my vitals said my totally inflamed and extremely painful toe sounded like gout. Dawn Castle comes in, spends about 60 seconds seeing me, says it is NOT gout, writes it up as a "skin infection", and gives me an antibiotic. It didn't go away, and a week later I was in severe pain. I went to a podiatrist in Hendersonville, and as soon as he saw it he said "this is a textbook case of gout." He prescribed a correct med and I was better in two days. I called into Pardees patient services to complain and request my $50 copayment back. I felt that I wasted my money. I was promised my $50 copayment back from Dr. Schwartman. I waited months and was passed off between a Morgan (useless) who doesn't return calls, Jenny (patient services) who dropped the ball, and passed to an upper manager Alicia Weiss (spelling?) who passed the buck and said that Pardee is owned by UNC and they don't give refunds. So I get a call tonight from the UNC accounting dept., 4 months later, and the girl tells me they "don't give refunds for the copay." What a pathetic joke Pardee and UNC are. You pay good money to go to their urgent care to be diagnosed by a fake doctor for a false diagnosis, and they don't care because they get their money from your provider. What a rip off. I might as well go to an auto mechanic next time I have a health issue. Do NOT use these crooks!!!! Look at their poor reviews folks. They will reply to contact their customer care phone number. Why? It's a walk in clinic so I did have to wait for an hour to see someone. However, once I did, I was very impressed. Thought I had maybe broken my hand. They did an X-ray right there. Results sent to Pardee hospital where they reviewed it. Got my answer from the doctor in 15 minutes and it wasn't broken. Got a prescription for the swelling and was on my way. Came down with a head cold and was getting my butt kicked, so I went in to get some meds. I booked online before going in, and was seen on time. Check-in was easy and friendly, and the waiting room was big and clean. Got brought back, had my vitals and info taken before seeing the doctor. Come to find out I had bronchitis and needed meds and a shot to help fight it off. Had my meds called to the pharmacy, and I was sent on my way. One of the nicer urgent care centers I have gone to. The staff was super friendly and caring, plenty of parking and seating in the waiting room. read more

What kind of health care establishment runs out of tests? I was recently exposed to the COVID-19 virus and trying to do my part as an American. But unfortunately uncaring establishments like this Pardee Urgent Care doesn't seem to take this pandemic very seriously. It's the day after Christmas as well as it is a Sunday morning and there's no reason for Pardee to be out of tests. You made my mother sit in a wheelchair after suffering extreme pain for two hours because she couldn't get ahold of me to pay her bill. You gave her pain and muscle pills only for her to suffer for another week and it ended up with her friend calling 911. The emergency room finally explained what was going on and referred her to a specialist. I'm giving you three stars because I understand my mother is eccentric and she doesn't understand a lot of what is going on, especially when she's scared and in severe pain. She's a nice, good person who needed your help. You could have let her wait in a bed or somewhere more comfortable of even shipped her over to the ER yourselves since you ran no tests and didn't give her an X-ray. Please don't forget to care about people. It's the most important part of your job. You gave my mom "the worst day of her life." read more

Refused care to VETERAN!!!!!!!!! I recently had minor surgery and had my stitches out on a Wed the next day a Thr. I ripped the wound open when I was clearing some brush at the house and slipped I also dislocated my shoulder (popped out and back in joint) I arrived at Pardee Urgent Care around 13:25 hrs and filled out the paperwork while bleeding like a stuck hog they took my paperwork within 5 min and my VA card and I explained to them how to file the insurance, the whole time I sat there holding pressure on my side trying to stop the bleeding not one time did a nurse, PA , or DR even asked how I was doing I was bleeding through a gauze I had applied through a tshirt and a regular knit shirt was blood stained, the Rep.s were totally rude and acted like I was a 3rd class citizen and didn't exist, she called me up and said the VA won't pay I said they will so I called them myself, and spent 38 min on the phone and finally the va said get out of there and goto Pardee ER it was then 15:45 hrs over 2 hrs waiting this butcher/non caring bunch of ppl didn't even ask if I could pay which I could or if I had other insurance which I do, plus violated the the law by turning me away while seeking medical care!!! While at the ER they told me they should have at least stopped the bleeding seeing I lost so much blood!! Don't trust these heartless creeps they have no compassion!!! My Vet is a better Dr. This place violate HIPPA laws! Thinking of reporting you to the IG of the VA! Veterans if I was treated this way beware ! I have taken my wife to this Urgent Care 2 times and I took myself most recently. I have always received Prompt Courteous Professional treatment by everyone I interacted with. With my visit I needed to adjust my antibiotic prescription because of nausea, a phone call was all that was needed to accomplish this. I have a regular physician and that is where I normally go. On those occasions that my doctors are not available, this Urgent Care is a first rate choice. I Trust them. read more

My three year old daughter had a double ear infection, strep throat, and the flu, and she was cared for exceptionally well. Went here for the first time last week. The facility is open and welcoming. There are many seating options so you don't have to feel like you're being contaminated if you're sharing the waiting room with people that are sick. They have coffee and water provided, and a soda machine is located outside of the waiting room. There are TV's and magazines available to keep you occupied while you wait. The women that were working at the front desk could have been nicer. They seemed irritated and bitter (it was only 9:45 am) and fairly unprofessional. They were a bit disorganized, and rude. I called ahead of my arrival because their website (for the Urgent Care, not the hospital) says that you can make an appointment. I tried making one online but it would never go through so I called to see if I could set up an appointment. The woman that answered was very rude and short, almost like she couldn't believe I asked if I could make an appointment since they are a walk in clinic. I didn't bring it up after I arrived because there was no point. However, the medical staff was amazing!! The nurse that called me back was kind and funny, making friendly conversation and making me feel welcome. The physician that saw me was also kind and friendly. I never felt like just another patient or just a number there. They addressed me by name and never made me feel rushed. I had an x-ray taken and the x-ray tech. was great. I also had blood drawn (I'm fairly needle phobic) and Yvonne was excellent!! I barely felt a thing and she was kind and understanding when I told her I hated needles. I knew it had to be done so there was no use in fighting but she was very gentle and I literally barely felt a thing! She's very good at what she does!! When I was being discharged the nurse gave me a list of physicians that are accepting new patients as I didn't have a general physician at the time. Overall I enjoyed my experience with Pardee Urgent Care. I live closer to Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care, but there were already 5 people waiting at 9:30 when I called, so I took a chance with Pardee and I am SO glad I did! Although SOM's front desk staff is a million times better than Pardee's, the shorter wait time was worth the drive for me. read more

After calling and letting Pardee Urgent Care in Fletcher know that I was bring my wife in for a serious cut to her hand, we were locked out of the building at 7:00pm. We were shocked to see the girl at the front desk sprint across the room only to lock the door 10 feet in front of us and coldly walk away as if our problems were our own. Brenda K 3/17/17 I would NEVER go here for any kind of treatment again. Took my husband here because he wasn't feeling well after we came back from Florida. ,We are visiting here for the winter and do not have a regular doctor here. My husband had a sore throat at which we found out it was strep throat. My husband also explained to the physician assistant that he had lost about 30 pounds in the last 5 weeks and that he was thirsty all the time and that his mouth was very dry . He also told him that he constantly had to go to the bathroom all the time especially at night. As for the weight loss he told my husband he wouldn't recommend that kind of diet and as for going to the bathroom so much it was an age thing and to get used to it. This was on a Friday just before lunch, Monday early morning I rushed my husband to the emergency room. He was so dehydrated he was on the verge of kidney failure and was very incoherent . All the systems we told them at urgent care where all classic signs of diabetes, seems strange that even the nurses at the hospital recognized the signs but the physician assistant didn't. When they checked his sugar levels at the hospital his level was around 1000. My husband spent the next 24 hours between the emergency room and intensive care and then two more days in the hospital trying to get his insulin levels right I feel if they had been listening to my husband at urgent care this could have been caught before it got so bad. I told them at the hospital that I had taken him to Pardee Urgent Care on Friday and they couldn't understand why they didn't check his sugar, the mouth dryness, the excessive thirst and constantly going to the bathroom are all signs of diabetes. If you can't listen to what patients are telling you, maybe you should NOT be treating them. read more
