If I could give zero stars, I would…read more From the very beginning, living here has been nothing short of a nightmare. On move-in day, we were given the wrong apartment unit. When we voiced our unhappiness, management told us to "deal with it"--even though the property advertises that residents can break their lease within 30 days with no repercussions if they're unhappy. We brought this up during our first week, and they told us the policy "didn't apply" to us. Since then, the problems have been constant. We pay a premium for a reserved parking spot, yet our space is regularly taken by others--requiring us to tow vehicles almost weekly. Valet trash is unreliable, with trash often left uncollected. At one point, a broken trash bin caused garbage to pile up to the ceiling on every floor for months. The hallways reeked, doors to trash rooms couldn't be opened, and when I brought my concerns to the property manager, they showed zero sympathy or urgency. The elevators are also constantly out of service, adding even more daily frustration. The turnover rate for staff is extremely high, and it shows. Airbnb guests frequently stay here--despite management telling us at move-in that the property does not allow them. We later discovered that nearly half the property is Airbnb units. These short-term guests have stolen our belongings and damaged shared spaces, and management still didn't care. Communication here is almost non-existent. If there's a property-wide problem--like the Wi-Fi outage we've been dealing with for five days--you can expect zero updates, no acknowledgment that the issue even exists, and certainly no offer of compensation or apology for the inconvenience. Something as simple as a quick email to residents would go a long way, yet management can't be bothered. Our unit has had nonstop maintenance issues--from the dryer (which still makes a loud, alarming noise) to the ice maker, fridge, and air conditioning. The only positive here has been the maintenance staff, who try their best under difficult circumstances. The property is marketed as "luxury," but there is nothing luxurious about broken gates damaging residents' vehicles, elevators constantly malfunctioning, trash piling up for months, unreliable Wi-Fi, and management's complete disregard for residents' concerns. Even with video evidence of the gate arm damaging cars, management told us it was "our responsibility" to deal with it.

I changed the review after the apartment managers begged & pleaded with me for months since it made them look bad. Since then, my roommate's room has flooded three (3) times due to the building's corner cutting when installing fire sprinklers. This most recent time, her entire bedroom carpet was soaked (puddles of water on CARPET), with her belongings destroyed. We had to immediately move all of her stuff into the kitchen so they could begin repairs. Her room is now filled with industrial humidifiers, a construction crew for the next week, our kitchen is unusable, and the apartment smells like a morgue. Infinity Midtown has informed us that these conditions are livable, so they won't be putting us up in a hotel for the duration of the repairs, and it's our responsibility to dispose of furniture destroyed by the building. Oh, and they won't be replacing any of her destroyed belongings since, by staff's own admission, the building's insurance is nonexistent. If you're a prospective resident of this "luxury" apartment building, ask yourself whether these photos are conditions under which you want to live.

I have lived in Northfield Lodge Apartments for 7 years. Never once have I been late. I put my…read more60-day notice in on 2/28/23. I was dogsitting for 10 days after I submitted my letter, along with my rent for March 2023. I got home to a note on my door stating that I owed NSF charges because my payment did not go through, but came back as a stopped payment. They also wanted me to pay a late fee. Since I had never been late before, they knocked off the late fee, and I paid the NSF charge with a money order/cashier's check. I talked with my bank and they said that there was no record or indication that the apartments had even tried to deposit the check. I then gave them a check for $1,500 for my buy-out fee, as per the lease agreement. The manager informed me that she may wait until the first of the month to deposit it, which I agreed was fine. We agreed that she would call if it did not go through, as I had plans to be away for a few days after the first of the month. When she attempted to do so, it came back as a stopped check. The manager called me to inform me of this. I called my bank again and asked if there was a flag against my apartments, to which my bank stated there was none. I returned to the apartment office with two cashier's checks, one for $920 for the month of April and $1,500 for the buy-out fee again. I do not understand how, after 7 years of faithful payments, after I put my 60-day notice in, how all of this starts happening. I was willing to give the apartments the benefit of the doubt in March, but for it to happen again in April is not a coincidence, in my opinion. These are the cheapest apartments in the area, and there is a reason. My dishwasher went out and they replaced it with another used and rusted one that has already broken once. My apartment has not been renovated since I moved in, like many of the other apartments, but my rent would be increasing by $200-$300 if I were to have signed another lease. Also (and I know many apartments do this now), they are having people pay, not only a pet deposit upon move-in, but also monthly pet rent. I do not know how or why my checks are being "stopped," as I have never stopped a check with them before. I have more than enough money in my account to pay for both months of rent and the buy-out fee. I do not have enough money or time to keep going around in circles like this with them. I don't want/need any money back at this time, as they have not charged late fees. I do, however, want to know why, when I call my bank they tell me that there is no evidence that the apartments tried to deposit the check and there are no flags against the apartments. I also want to know why this only started happening after I put in my 60-day notice. I can safely say that, due to this experience, I will never refer someone here. I don't know if it is the manager or the company who is being shady, but this is not right. It should not be this difficult to move out of an apartment. I should not be getting punished for moving out. I will not be paying anymore money to these apartments. I have never been so ready to get out of a living situation in my life. Thank you, Northfield Lodge Apartments, for showing me that even apartment complexes can be shady and money-hungry.

We've appreciated that they're constantly maintaining the property and the landscape and just in the few years that we lived here, they have updated the appliances, renovated the clubhouse which includes coffee and wine stations, and built a yoga studio and a dog park. The amenities here are great. There's two pools on the Whitworth side and 2 on the Richland side, each with their own grills. We've also enjoyed the various events that they organize - the Christmas party, free beer/food for the holidays, pet photos for Halloween and Christmas. The staff here have also all been incredibly friendly and responsive. I've put in service requests through the online portal, and they would come by to fix it just a few hours later.

Now that I've officially moved out, I want to share a detailed and honest review of my experience…read more Unfortunately, this was by far one of the worst communities I've lived in within the Gulch. Overall, the management team was extremely unprofessional. I'll start with the condition of the property and my unit. During nearly my entire residency, the property was under constant construction, which made several amenities inaccessible. There were also frequent, unannounced water shutoffs at least five times during my time there, all documented via email. The hallways consistently had a strong odor, and the carpeting was heavily stained throughout the building. The community is also used as a short-term rental or hotel-style property, meaning you never know who is on-site. There is no security to provide an added layer of safety, and residents are not allowed to have Ring cameras. This rule is not stated anywhere in the lease agreement but was enforced by management (specifically Tiffany). There also appears to be a serious mold issue. Black mold repeatedly grew in my bathroom despite frequent cleanings. Even professional cleaners were unable to prevent it from returning, and several other resident reviews reflect the same concern. Now regarding management: I was informed that the property manager, Tiffany, chose not to offer me a lease renewal because I previously left a Google review addressing these issues. While I had no intention of renewing, retaliating against a resident for leaving a truthful review is both unprofessional, unlawful and malicious. I have the right to free speech, and every claim I made is verifiable. My move-out experience was equally frustrating. Two weeks prior to move-out, I were notified via email that a professional cleaning service was required or I would be charged $135 to use their service. Having lived in multiple luxury communities, this has never been a requirement, but I agreed to avoid any issues. The email stated the service needed to be scheduled in advance; however, when I called, Tiffany told me scheduling was unnecessary and that cleaning would be handled at move-out. Based on that, I did not clean the unit myself. After move-out, I was charged $210 instead of the quoted $135. I had completed a walkthrough days prior (which I recorded), and no issues were mentioned at that time. Although I disagreed with the additional charges, I chose not to dispute them. The move out email also stated that setting up direct deposit in the resident portal would result in faster refunds. I completed this immediately, yet I was given conflicting information for weeks. I was told the refund was processed, waited over a week with no payment, then was told it was reprocessed. After multiple emails, calls, and voicemails with no response, I was eventually told they didn't know why it would not process in the system and that my refund would instead be mailed, taking up to 30 days. Even now, I'm unsure whether it has actually been processed, as I was only sent a revised move-out statement with my updated address. The purpose of this review is to warn others. My experience was consistently negative, and I've noticed an influx of overly positive reviews from individuals who are not actual residents, which is misleading. Rather than inflating reviews, management should focus on making meaningful improvements so residents feel safe, respected, and comfortable. Authentic positive reviews will follow naturally.
