She told my clients one thing and turned around and was doing things totally different. I seen my clients contract myself. The couple had the venue booked until 8:00 p.m. and then when 6:30 p.m. she was texting me telling me I need to come get my decorations before she locked them in the building. Keep in mind it was ONLY 6:47 P. M. So my assistant was already on the way over there anyway. So when my assistant arrived and he was outside taking down the arch she yells out the door to him telling him to come inside to get the decorations because she was ready to go now keep in mind ( HER CONTRACT WAS UNTIL 8 P.M.). So how was it getting to late to get the decorations . And the way she talk to people is absolutely disgusting and crazy. And she told my clients that the place can hold up to 150 and people and it does not hold that many people the grounds yes but the building hell no. Maybe 40 people comfortably and how I know is because me and my staff had to play tic tac with seating and placement. And then she has furniture in the way that CAN NOT BE MOVED. So why would you have furniture in the building that can not be moved or anything. So I say again don't do it please she is so unprofessional.

We arrived at 3:09 at the office/gift shop to purchase tickets and hopefully walk around the garden while awaiting our tour. Imagine our disappointment when we were told "no more tours today, she's already locked up the house"! Why would you ever treat your guests like this? Your business relies on tourism dollars. If you don't want to have afternoon tours, don't advertise them!!! Shameful!!!!

Think high tea with scones and tidbit plates with the chandeliers brightly lit. Unfortunately, it wasn't set up like this, but it doesn't hurt to visualize, right? When I went, the venue was set up with rows of chairs and 2 grand pianos up front. Still quite lovely. It definitely could use a few updates, but not too many because it will take away from the historical feel of the space. I am not sure what else this space is most used for, but it's nice to know that it exists because I'd love to let more people know about it! It's definitely a hidden gem in downtown Baton Rouge.

My first impression was how clean everything looked. Not only did it feel clean but it also smelt clean. The staff was very friendly, attentive and quick to check us in. The room was spacious and very clean as well. Breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast - nothing fancy but everything was properly placed. Hot items were hot and cold items stayed in an accessible fridge. If I'm ever in this area I would definitely stay here again.

Very disappointed. Received a call at 6:30p on Friday evening that they would not have any hot…read morewater until Tuesday although they had been informed at 3:00p. When asked if the reservation could be transferred to a different location, I was told no as the locations are independently owned. They had checked a neighboring hotel but they were sold out. That left me with the choice of either enduring cold showers or try to scramble and find another hotel on a Friday night at a higher rate. Financially, the choice was made for me. As I was leaving the next morning, my cooler spill and there was ice and water that I cleaned up with the extra towels. There was housekeeping staff member in the hallway and I told her what had happened. She said that was ok as the floor would be mopped and that anyway it was not her assigned room. When I returned to my room later that evening, my card key didn't work. So I go down to the front desk and am given new cards. I return to the room to find that it had not been cleaned. The wet towels from cleaning up the spill were still piled up on the floor, the beds were not made and trash was still in the room. I return to the desk and informed the gentleman that my room had not been cleaned and that I needed towels. He proceeded to key something in and then said there was no housekeeping staff on site. It took 10 minutes to get towels! To add to that, the window shade didn't work so I woke up each morning to bright sunshine. They offered a 20% discount on the room rate which was an insult to injury. Should they have even stayed open with no hot water and with a breakfast bar with hot cooked items? Sanitation?

I specifically requested him because I'm half Mexican, and it meant a lot to me for him to make important announcements both in English and Spanish, and he did just that! He played great music and was able to smoothly transition from playing music for the older crowd and then playing music when it was time to turn things up! I left it up to him to choose songs for the money dance and he did awesome! I would wholeheartedly recommend Complete Weddings + Events and Sergio. The online portal was easy to use and the overall communication with them was great as well!
