First and foremost, this is where I bring my little Milli for her grooming - she had her first one this week! Michelle groomed my little Zoey's hair for over 15 years and when Michelle left another location and moved here - you can bet I didn't hesitate to follow her. She is truly amazing - patient, kind, and so VERY GOOD at what she does. This place also has a wide array of pet food, treats, and other various supplies. I have found that the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when I'm looking for products. And, they also remember and recognize you and your pet(s) - even the ones that aren't yours that you show up with on occasion! Lastly, they are just dog people here! They have openly told me that it's totally okay to bring my pup here on those cold days when it's not safe outside - and to just walk her around the store for exercise - no purchase necessary. It's things like that that keep you coming back.

It was never an easy task to tackle alone. After about 4 years, I tragically hit the quick of one of her black nails. Fast forward to now 8-year-old, 65-lb Layla, who still won't let me near her with clippers. I've had to outsource the torturous task to her vet and groomers since that fateful day. Once she associates a place with nail trims, though, she resists entry and tries to find the nearest exit. The Dog Wash Etc. has proven to be a rare exception to this rule, which is a testament to the positive experiences we've had there. Evie skillfully handled and warmly gained Layla's trust during our first visit and again several weeks later (bonus: the trim kept Layla's pawdicure needs at bay much longer than usual) It doesn't hurt that the Pets on Point store has cookies (and a whole shop full of goodies) for a post-trim treat. Punch card rewards or not, Evie and the Dog Wash team have earned our loyalty. I am eager to try the actual dog washes next... although Layla is as enthusiastic about baths as she is about nail trims!

This was my first visit and never felt welcomed but rather hurry up and leave the dog. She didn't even acknowledge poor Mary Bee who was shaking with being nervous!!! When I returned, this same woman was sitting at her computer while eating an apple and told me I had to wait because she was on the computer. She made no comments about Mary Bee regarding services or her experiences. I was told to pay $100. Still didn't know what I was paying for!!!! No receipt. What happened to customer service, good and kind manners. What happened to thank you...nice to see you and a little more patience with customer! Wonderful hair cut but did not tip because of the rudeness!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and my dog have taken 4 or 5 classes and they are so much fun and we learn so much and bond more and more every time. We had our 16 year old girl who could not walk anymore. She progressed to the stage of starting to…read morehave a hard time walking, to not walking at all within weeks. I always said she would go quick. I made the hard call and within a few days they were out in our yard. They made the experience as peaceful as possible, and when I am losing my mind I just lost my girl, they had the greatest compassion and were there for the whole process. Jay was welcoming and accommodating given our out-of-town status. Enrollment, including uploading health and safety data as well as scheduling the time that we needed to have our pup in their care, could not have been smoother. We did a test run two days before the wedding for 4 to 5 hours and agreed that if we didn't want to be at the wedding so badly we would spend the day at happy Tails! Whitaker was quickly noted to be a "good boy ". We returned on Saturday early in the morning and left him in good hands until the pick up at closing time on the same day. Everyone was happy and we wonder should we move to Portland in order to use this wonderful doggy daycare?
