She messaged me right away; I assumed she was concerned about the 1-star rating. She called me several times and texted me saying how sorry she was. I did call her back to kindly let her know I already found another CPA. She convinced me to drop my CPA and went with her instead just to string me along for over 2 weeks with no intention of working on my taxes. She also made accusations about how I switched CPA every year which I have been with the same CPA for over 20 years. She would ask for sensitive documents; I would upload them to the portal within hours. Then I do not hear from her for days. She would text me again days later saying she has questions and would like to schedule a phone/zoom/google meeting. Then I would respond saying I can talk and asked for a time that will work for her. Saturday was one of the options she gave me so I asked if 1pm works for her, she then accuses me of not being reciprocal and weekends are her rest and family time. I will be filing a complaint to the State Board of Accountancy. She is very unprofessional and unethical. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy.

I was referred to Nice Refund by a friend that I trust, so my expectations were high going in. Well, they went above and beyond my high expectations. First, I uploaded all of the tax documents that I had in my possession into their online document management system. I uploaded at my own pace through out the week, in preparation for a Thursday meeting. I work typical office hours during the week, and the office is a bit too far to travel on my lunch, so I was able to make an appointment at 6:00 pm. This was very convenient- I appreciated their willingness to acquiesce to the needs of my schedule. Once I arrived to the clean and professionally set up offices, I sat down with a tax professional that has been doing taxes for over 10 years. He was very professional and courteous. He asked me a series of questions that he filled into his system, and after what seemed like a pleasant 20 minutes conversation about what I have been up to over the last tax year, he was done. Just like that. Taxes filed. The largest refund that I have ever gotten and the peace of mind knowing that they were done right. I think it is important to also note, there is no cash exchange in the office. This made for a really relaxed meeting. When my taxes got processed, their money was taken out before my refund even got to me. I didn't have to lift a finger. If you are looking for an honest, and experienced tax service company, try these guys out! They saved me from such a huge headache this tax season, and will be taking care of my taxes from hence forth.

Working with Shannon Hartgrove was one of the worst insurance experiences I've ever had…read more She quoted and bound our home insurance using the WRONG ADDRESS, which we did not discover until after paperwork was signed. This mistake cost us hundreds of dollars and created completely avoidable stress during an already high-stakes process. What made this situation even worse was her behavior before and after the error. She repeatedly talked over me, dismissed my concerns, and failed to listen when I tried to clarify details--details that would have prevented this mistake in the first place. When I finally called her out on the error, she took zero responsibility. Instead of owning the mistake or offering a solution, she became defensive and unprofessional, telling me "this is my agency, I own this, and you can't escalate to management." That response alone speaks volumes about her accountability and customer service standards. If you value: * Accuracy * Professionalism * Being listened to * An agent who takes responsibility for their mistakes Do not use this broker. A basic error like an incorrect address should never happen, and the refusal to own it afterward is unacceptable
