Called Paramount 48 prior to arrange a business luncheon for about 90 people. Manal was very helpful to help decide on what dishes to select. We ordered a variety of dishes, such as Beef Kafta and chicken skewers, spicy potatoes, Falafel, sandwich trays with chicken, beef and falafel shawarma, wraps (Kafta and Chicken Tawouk). We were provided trays of rice, fattoush salad, garlic sauce, tahini, mixed pickles, hot sauce, hummus and pita bread. Food was delivered on time. They even supplied the plates, napkins and utensils. Everyone was happy and satisfied. No complaints! Will definitely order from this location again for another future event!

4.5 Paramount is an amazing spot for any meal of the day! They have an extensive breakfast menu, brunch, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner - literally anything you could possibly think of. Paramount has middle eastern cuisine, and a few fusion dishes like their take on poutine and quesadillas. Came here for brunch on a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The service was efficient and attentive, and the food was fresh and tasty. The ambience was nice, and I was seated immediately. My group ordered a variety of dishes so I got to try a lot of things. The manakeesh is amazing - you definitely have to get this (I got zaatar manakeesh which is like an Arabic pesto of sorts). I also tried the chicken shawarma fries (like a poutine) and a bit of a shawarma wrap. Honestly everything here is pretty good, you can't go wrong with anything you order. The portion sizes are also pretty good, and quite filling. You can really taste the freshness and quality of the food. It's a nice spot for a more upscale take to middle eastern cuisine. I'll definitely be back to Paramount soon!

I've been to their Sheppard Avenue location several times and have always enjoyed the food but questioned the process of ordering at the counter and prepaying for the meal. This location has full table service. Yay! Did they all change? I hope so. Our server was very patient and attentive while my friend and I waited for a third companion to join us. He was friendly and engaging but lacked the finesse of a seasoned server. Very good effort though. We ended up ordering Falafel, two Mixed Grill Plates (chicken beef, kafta), a lentil soup, and a Mezza Plate (hummus, moutabbal, and tabbouleh). It was served with their signature puffy pita. As expected, everything tasted really good and the portions were generous (enough to take some home). We finished our meal with some cappuccino and baklawa. A good finish.

Chicken main plate

I've always heard good things about Paramount but never tried it cause I didn't think it was much diff from other cheaper Mediterranean chains. I happened to have an Ubereats coupon and decided on the chicken main plate. It came up to almost $30 including all the fees etc. Although on the description it didn't mention An included salad, usually other chicken plates include salad. To my disappointment, it actually arrived without a salad. There was only chicken, rice, pickles, garlic sauce and a pita bread! This meal was 20 bucks without the fees and tip. Such a rip offffff. So not worth it!

Check out this hot streaming light bread. :)

I didn't even notice that this place was here until we were parking by the shoppers and just noticed it. Too lazy to figure out where to eat dinner, we decided to just give this place a go. We've been trying a lot more middle eastern, Mediterranean cuisine as a family and have found a few favourite spots. This place was great, but definitely there are areas to improve in terms of their food options. As a new restaurant, I think they'll get there in time. Food alone would bring it to 3 star, but the amazing service is what pumps it up to a big ol' 4! Hopefully management will read this because I want them to know, Marva, our waitress, did an amazing job. She was there when we needed her, checked up on us, and made sure we enjoyed our meal. She was happy to get feedback and was very helpful to explain the menu options to us as we were not very familiar with some of the dishes. She's very friendly and if this is the level of hospitality they have, I think you can't lose coming here. We started off with a puffy steaming bread. I forget what it's called but we've had it before at other places. This was fresh, not burned, and soft on the inside with that hard crust on the outside. However, it was very flavourless. I think it's best if you ordered some type of dips to accompany it. My dad ordered a lamb dinner to be cooked to medium rare, but it was almost well done and quite hard. He had give everyone a piece before biting in so by the time we found out, we already eaten half of it among all of us. The waitress, however, still offered to redo the dish, which I thought was very kind of her. Flavours were alright, but the fries on the side could have been a bit less soggy. Actually, all our fries were a bit soggy which is something they could probably fix easily. :) The fattoush salad was very fresh and I liked the variety of vegetables in the dish. It was a bit over dressed and I found it to be a bit wet. The flavours were quite nice though :) My mom and I shared the Tabliyeh Saj Chicken Shawarma as per the recommendation of our fantastic waitress, Marva. I think I would try a different protein next time too, but this one was amazing!! There's that delicious crunch in the outer side of the saj, and you've got the stuffed insides and a garlic dip accompaniment. I loved the pickles as well which just helped cut through the savory flavours. I think this is a very well balanced dish and I would happily return for more. Over all, we had a great time here and enjoyed our meal. Marva, was amazing!! She really did a fantastic job. With our lamb being cooked improperly, she offered to have it redone. We refused since we were almost done anyway :) But she kindly gifted us a box of sweet treats. Variations of baklawa sweets and we thoroughly enjoyed those. Give this place a try and just let the staff know if there's anything you don't like or think could improve. They've got a great attitude. I'd love to see this place stick around the neighborhood.

Huge selection of sweets!

I've heard a lot of hype over this place so decided to check it out, but man was I soo unimpressed. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate with fries that came with veggies, a piece of bread, and garlic sauce. The bread and fries dipped in the garlic sauce was good, but that was the best part of the meal. The shawarma meat was absolutely disgusting. The portion wasn't the largest, but out of the serving provided, about 50% of the 'meat' was chicken skin or fatty bits, which meant uneatable. I ended up throwing most of the 'chicken' out because I was tired of sorting through which parts were actually edible meat. Food thoughts aside, the restaurant was pretty nice. Newly renovated and it showed. All the staff was helpful when I was trying to choose what to order and they gave clear descriptions of what different items were. Overall, the food left me with a bad opinion of the place and I don't think i'll return.

I don't know if the cooks at paramount have changed but I stopped by here with a colleague for lunch and we were both amazed by our wraps! I had the falafel wrap which had pickles, turnips, onions, lettuces, tomatoes, hummus and tahini. It was the perfect size and the flavours were amazing. My colleague who had the beef shawarma didn't think beef and pickles would go together but he said it was amazing. The reason for he 4 stars is because there is only one waitress during the lunch hour. There are a lot of people that stop by here for lunch with large tables. Although she can balance well, I feel like she could use an extra set of hands. Our drinks weren't topped up but she did follow up (when we were done our meal) to ask if we enjoyed everything. I would recommend this place only if you have at least an hour for lunch.

Quality of the meat is down..ordered chicken/beef and you can tell by the picture that it's literally just chopped up tiny bits like its old
Munchiescure H.

Ordered a chicken/beef platter with potatoes and a saj wrap. The quality of the meat is very low...literally chopped up small bits of chicken and beef to make it seem like it's a lot. The beef was very dry...I don't think I'll be going here again

The carpaccio was fine, pleasant but fairly straightforward, but everything else we ordered was excellent The octopus was tender, and hearty, paired nicely with potatoes, hummus, some greens, and capers. It was well-balanced and satisfying without feeling heavy. The steak came out a perfect medium-rare and juicy. The nut topping on the fish added a really nice crunch, contrasting beautifully with the soft, tender flesh of the fish. And then there was the duck: the clear standout of the night. It was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The fat kept it incredibly juicy without feeling greasy. The charred cabbage on the side added a subtle smokiness that tied everything together perfectly. Every bite honestly made me happier and happier. Getting to the restaurant was a little confusing at first, but once you're there, it's absolutely worth it. A really enjoyable meal overall, and especially memorable for that duck dish. Definitely a place I'd return to.

Visited this restaurant on mother's day for a lovely lunch :)…read more What we ordered: Zucchini chips: ($27) 8.5/10 I've never had zucchini chips before, they were perfectly fried, light, and went well with the tzatziki. I feel like there could've been more zucchini for the price point Peppercorn steak: ($78) 8.5/10 Very tender and well-cooked steak. I couldn't really taste much of a peppercorn flavor in the sauce though. I prefer my steak on the saltier side so I asked for some salt and they gave me a small bowl of flakey sea salt (my favourite!). Lobster roll ($48): 9/10 I've never had avocado in a lobster roll before, and the flavours & textures actually worked really well together! The lobster tasted fresh and sweet. The fries were crispy and plentiful. This spot is on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, service, and ambiance is reflected in the price.

I've always known this Greek restaurant was in the plaza but never dined in until now - wow I have been missing out! Upon arrival, the space is quite dated but I still had high hopes for the food which did not disappoint. Servers were all older gentlemen that seemed intimidating but were very friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered was so delicious: Kalamarakia Fried 5/5 - Seasoned and lightly fried calamari served with Tzatziki sauce. It wasn't too crispy but had the perfect chew/ bite to it. Great for sharing. Cold Pekelia 5/5 - This was served with 4 different dips and 2 light bites including Tzatziki, taramosalata, octopus, melitzanosalata, olives and hummus. Absolutely delicious and a range of different flavours to try. Served with pita on the side. Chicken Souvlaki Dinner 5/5 - Tender chunks of chicken breast, marinated and broiled to perfection. All their dinners come with a Greek salad and garlic bread. Portions are plenty per person. Chicken was tender, juicy and bursting with flavours. Gyro Dinner 5/5 - Blend of lamb and beef, lightly spiced and broiled. Served with rice, roast potatoes, veggies and Tzatziki. So delicious I wanted to lick the plate clean. Overall all the food was so good and flavourful. Drinks were okay, I got a caesar that could have used a bit more "ump" to it. I can't wait to come back again as I loved dining here!

Tip: It's on Uber Eats…read more A few Saturdays ago, I visited this Tahini's in the Malvern area of Scarborough. This eatery is located in a plaza, across from a Walmart Supercentre. I placed an order through Uber Eats and got two regular habibi bowls, which were BOGO. I got them without any pita chips on top. I went with the original, which was chicken, tzatziki, fried onions, spicy garlic sauce, and parsley, all on rice. I chose mild hot for the bowls. I got an estimated time to pick up my order. I was at Malvern Town Centre, so it took no time to drive over here. I got here at around 3:30 pm. There was plenty of parking. I backed into a spot and headed inside the eatery. I was greeted by a friendly woman. I was the only customer. I let her know that I had an Uber Eats order under my name. She nodded and fetched a paper bag with my name on it. I thanked her. We wished each other a great day. I then headed to my car, secured the goods, and drove home. This Tahini's was the second one that I have ever visited. The one in Richmond Hill has steady business. It was a nice change that this location wasn't as crazy at this hour. For dinner, I had one of the bowls. I had the other one the following day. It was my first time having a habibi bowl. It was yummy! The chicken was delicious. It was tender and flavourful with everything in the bowl. The base was fluffy yellow rice. I should order this bowl again. The toppings were fresh. So good! The second bowl heated up fine the following day. It tasted equally as yummy. I've had the baklava at the other location. I should have some here next time. I loved my food and my experience here. I'll be back when I'm in the area again. (335)

We got the garlic sauce and hummus - both came in nice large dollops. Purple cabbage gave a nice crunch as did the pita chips they sprinkled in. Turnips and pickles have a nice salty flavor. Tomatoes are thinly sliced but few in quantity I felt. The pineapples were canned pineapples but decent amount. Overall a pretty filling dish - would recommend the larger size for dinner. Good price for what you get!

The food was good overall. It wasn't too bad at all, and I enjoyed what I tried, though I do wish there had been a bit more variety to choose from. Even so, everything was still tasty and satisfying. The take-out counter was open, so we opted for that instead. Most of the foods on display were ready-to-go and vegetarian / vegan. You can also order manakeesh (Lebanese flatbread topped with toppings such as cheese, spinach, and za'atar - akin to thin-crust pizza) to be made on site. We opted for the vegetarian mix-and-match plates, which came with either rice or salad, 5 small sides, and 3 falafels. Most of the items were pretty good, my favourites being the arnabeet (cauliflower), eggplant with chickpeas and tomato-based sauce, bamya (okra), and white cannellini beans salad. The warak enab (also called dolma or stuffed grape vine leaves) was flavourless and had too much ratio-to-grape vine leaves ratio (more rice inside that I'd like). The tabbouleh was way too salty. The other dishes were good though. Although the manakeesh was made fresh to order, it came out pretty fast. It was also extremely salty. There were a few small tables by the take-out counter, for those who wish to eat the take-out items on the spot. They packaged all the items very well to avoid leakage.

My first experience wasn't the best. The business made things better when I went back a second time, but it does take a bad first experience to deter me from being a return customer. I have been driving along Markham Road (highway 48) weekly. I flagged getting takeout for dinner here a couple of Wednesdays ago. After getting groceries in Whitchurch-Stouffville, I ordered food from this Osmow's through my Uber Eats app. I got mixed proteins (chicken and beef shawarma) on fattoush salad, with garlic sauce and tahini. I tend to like anything on salad in general, but I crave salad a lot these days. My order was estimated to be ready in 25 minutes. I knew that I would arrive early with my lead foot, so I stopped by Chatime nearby to pick up some bubble tea. Osmow's is steps away from Firehouse Subs. I backed into a spot in front of Osmow's main entrance and walked in. It is strictly takeout from this eatery. All tables and chairs are stacked away in a small corner of the store. I had a nice man help me. I showed him my Uber Eats order number at the counter. He fetched my order that was in a plastic bag. I thanked him and headed out the door. When I got home, I put away my groceries and then had dinner. I like that the container keeping my food safe was compostable. I also got cutlery and napkins in my plastic bag. My mix proteins on salad was yummy. I loved the morsels of tender chicken and beef shawarma. The garlic sauce and tahini were full of flavour. I went with no spice. At Osmow's, it can get super spicy if you go hot. The fattoush salad was fresh. The iceberg lettuce was crispy even with the sauces and proteins on top. I enjoyed the ripe tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and cucumbers in this salad. I did ask that the crispy pita croutons be held. They were. Yay! I devoured my meal. It was so good. My tummy and I were happy. I have found an Osmow's location in Markham that I like. I look forward to trying more food items off the menu. I am eyeing the lamb salad next. (205)

I got the following items: - Regular habibi bowl (BOGO) - Beef samosas (2) I got an estimated time of fifteen minutes for my food to be ready. I drove over to this eatery and backed into a parking spot. I waited a bit before I headed inside the eatery to pick my food up. I headed to the counter on the left. A woman said hi. When I indicated that I had an Uber Eats order, she abruptly interrupted me and said that I needed to be on the right. I didn't feel any warmth from her. I felt like I was scolded by her for not knowing. It was my first time at this eatery. The only door in and out of this eatery is directly in front of this woman. Naturally, folks would head over to you, especially a newbie like me. You order on the left. You pick up your food on the right. Got it. I made my way over to the right. I had a friendly woman there who let me know that she was waiting for my beef samosas. Cool. It was enough time for me to take photos. The unpleasant woman seemed happier talking to a male colleague in front of the protein spits. I took a photo. She looked my way. She seemed to default to her sour disposition again. I had the inclination to delete the photo capturing her unpleasant expression, and take another photo once she went into the kitchen. It's one star off my rating. She clearly didn't like me. The feeling was mutual. The beef samosas were done. Yay! The other woman packed up everything and handed me my paper bag full of food. I thanked her and wished her a good evening. She reciprocated. I then headed to my car and drove home. I had the beef samosas first. OMG! They were delicious. The wrapper was crispy and not greasy. The beef filling was generous and yummy. I should have got six. Yum! I had one of the regular bowls that evening and the other the following day. I specified light hot sauce. It was perfect. The chicken shawarma was tender and yummy. I liked the toum. It had the perfect amount of garlic. The parsley provided a pop of colour. It didn't taste like anything. The rice was fluffy and delicious. This bowl was excellent. I had the other bowl for dinner the following day. It heated up nicely and was equally as yummy. I loved everything that I had consumed. I'll be back for a shawarma wrap and more. I'm hoping that the sourpuss woman isn't there upon my return. (451)
