I have been past this station more times than I can count, though I think I have only jumped off at it a couple of times in the past. There wasn't really any need for me to come here.

There are lots and lots of things said about this railway station, and not many of them all that…read morenice either. However, I have seen this place change countless times, particularly since they knocked down the old station building top put through a goods line. However, it is also a major interchange, which used to be a park, eons ago. However, while the station is supposed to be staffed, I haven't seen any staff there in ages either.

I am so glad that this railway station is still here, but it looks like it has been purchased and…read moretransformed into something else. I guess that is a bit of a shame because it means that it is unlikely to be turned back into a railway station, but then again this is Adelaide and they really don't seem to like trains here. Anyway, all that we seem to have left is this station that basically happens to be located in the middle of an industrial area, though since they have recently built the stabling yards here, it probably does mean that the people who work here can actually catch a train home. Look, the station is pretty tacky though, and probably doesn't have much in the way of usage, considering its location, but hey, at least there is a station here.

In fact, this station is really no different to the many other railway stations located in Adelaide, namely that there is a shelter, a platform, and a speaker that will tell you when the next train is coming, and basically, that is about it. However, the reason that this station gets the rating that it does is because there happens to be a tardis located out the front - no, not like the one out the front of Earl's Court Station in London, but rather it is just an electrical box that is painted to look like the Tardis. Still, it does make this station stand out from all the other stations in Adelaide.

There were donut, sandwich and fast food shops. For $11.20 we purchased a day pass and could ride as many trains in a day as we wanted. Trains were clean, stopped frequently & posted the next stop. The train personnel were friendly on guiding us where to buy our tickets. We also bought thr metro card for the following day so we can tour the city again.

One window was open & the line was very long, we were told that we can purchase our tickets when we exit. We walked over and took a :45 train to downtown Adelaide. Trains came every :30 until midnight when rail service stops. We bought our tickets in the main station before we left. We passed 21 stations before arriving at the main Adelaide, coming back this is the last stop.

However, unlike a lot of the stations in Adelaide, this one not only has a decent sized shelter, but it also has a bus interchange. Though, I should suggest that it is not the best idea to get off the train here, unless you really have to.
