To say Sean and his team of experts saved the day for my husband and I would be an understatement…read more These guys literally SAVED us from suffering through a 2-day road trip without A/C. The day before we stumbled on the amazing team at Roberts Automotives my husband and I had flown up to Washington to collect our RV (which had been stuck there for nearly 3 months being repaired after we hit a deer while exploring Washington's National parks over the summer). On day 2 of our road trip back to Los Angeles from Washington, our newly repaired A/C stopped working! It was late in the afternoon on a Friday so we knew finding a mechanic willing to help us close to closing time, and in an RV no less, was going to be a challenge but after speaking with the owner Sean on the phone we trekked an hour out of the way to visit his shop in Chico. Not only did he and his guys stay after hours to help us but they were also the friendly faces we needed after a stressful day on the road. They took amazing care of us, communicated in detail what was wrong and how they were going to fix it, and even took us on a road test to ensure all was working as it should before we headed out. We even got a call from Sean after the weekend was over to check in on us and make sure we were able to make it home safely and didn't have any further complications. This is SERVICE AT ITS FINEST. For Chico locals or fellow travelers in need of a trusted mechanic trust us, with this team you are in great hands.

She also was involved in a trailer sale with Sean and that went very well with fairness and respect. I blew the turbo on my 2005 Ford F350, my fault, and had to have the vehicle towed to the shop while I was out of town. Sean and his team were not only fair and accommodating, but they are also very knowledgeable and performed excellent service on my vehicle. Sean understood the need for a fair price and understood that all things can't be completed at once without a ton of cash. I can not thank them enough and recommend them very highly for any of your diesel needs. Beyond a Five Star business.

We own a 2022 Berkshire XL 37A, class A diesel pusher. On our last outing we had a leak coming…read morethrough the AC intake in the bedroom. The only water source is the AC unit on the roof at the rear of the coach which happens to be above the bedroom. I immediately suspected a clogged drain line. Supporting that suspicion was the lack of condensation build-up coming out of the drain line (the front AC unit was draining just fine). Although this can be an easy DIY fix, I am a senior and still recovering from a terrible ladder accident/fall so going up on the roof was not an option for me. I called a mobile RV repair service and they quoted me a minimum of $600 for the repair. A person at the RV storage facility we use suggested I call American RV Service Center. I called last week and spoke to Morgan. She was very helpful but initially said her next opening was in August. I told her we are going on an outing July 22nd. She said she would see what she could do to get us in before then. After a few minutes she came back on the line and told me because it was presumably a simple fix she could get me in Friday the 19th. She advised me they charge $175 an hour and it shouldn't take more than 2 hours. Today (the 19th) they got our coach in. The tech found there was no clog, the line was clear. He did find that the drain hose connected to the pump did not have a clamp securing it. He put a clamp on it, confirmed that the pump was working and then tested the system. With the bedroom AC unit on for a while, the system began draining the condensation build up, operating normally. No leaking inside. Problem fixed. Morgan was great to work with throughout this process. They went above and beyond to get us taken care of knowing we have an outing planned. The temps will be in the triple digits where we're going and having both AC units working will be a life saver! Their service costs are fair and their customer service was excellent. Also, it's nice to call a business and have a live person answer. I highly recommend American RV Service Center!!! Thank you Morgan and thank you tech (unfortunately I did not get his name).

I also told the receptionist that the truck camper has solar and not sure if solar was a factor for the batteries not charging. I turned my truck camper in on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday morning, I called for a status update. The receptionist said the truck camper would not be looked at until Monday of the following week. This was unacceptable because I was leaving Wednesday around noon for my Thanksgiving plans. You guys worked an hour on something I didn't ask for. Specifically asked for a check on why my engine motor was not charging the batteries while driving. Ultimately, my boondocking Thanksgiving trip was a little bit more difficult to manage because of the lack of battery power to the truck camper Nice fancy bronco the owner drives. Must be nice ripping people off.

An unparalleled experience. Unicorn service. Can I give 6-stars? Honestly, read this…read more.. Day 1, Saturday, of a four week road trip, we drove from SoCal to Pleasanton, CA and heard a clicking sound coming from the rear end once we were off the freeway and could hear again. Since we were picking up our caravan partner and heading north, we needed to find a mechanic in NorCal, along our route and nearby. We used the VanAlert app (must have!) and found Westy World in Chico. I called the number (Saturday, remember?) to leave a hopeful message that they may be able to squeeze us in on Monday for a look-see. I couldn't leave a message because Brian answered! As we discussed the issue, Brian offered to stop-by Pleasanton on SUNDAY, after a nearby Van drop-off. We met at a roadside parking lot and Brian crawled under the van to find and definitively diagnose a broken axel. If this was the end of the story, I am sure you would agree that this is a once in a lifetime automotive and humanitarian experience. It has had such a profound impact on us that we use it as the measure of the Golden Rule - we try to treat others the way Brian treated us. But the story goes on. From the parking lot Brian rallied his team back in Chico to set up an appointment on Monday to repair our axel. We are pretty sure that Westy World was not keeping a time slot open for that Monday to address our emergency. So all the other projects must have been put on hold to make our emergency their emergency. As we agreed in the parking lot on Sunday, we covered the time and expense for Kyle to DRIVE FROM CHICO TO REDDING AND BACK on Monday morning to pick up the replacement axel. When we rolled into Chico Kyle jacked up our '87 GL and completed the repair before we could finish out lunch. Everyone was mellow, untroubled, kind and very knowledgeable. What a great mindset to calm us in our moment of flexing. After our trip we checked in with our local mechanic, who verified two things: the parts used (from Burley Motosports) were the best available, and Westy World charged us as though this was a regularly scheduled appointment - no emergency premium! It is an honor to have had this experience and to have Kyle and Brian in our world. Thank you both and everyone else at Westy World that was affected by our incursion.
