They are the best at Paradise Pools and spas. I love their products, the Pool Life MPT 3 tablets seem to work the best and don't dissolve as quickly as others on the market. Absolutely disgusted with the service we have received. Over 20 years, we have remained loyal to this local company. This will not continue on after this latest experience that they still have not worked to resolved. 8 days ago they installed our liner, it looked beautiful. We were told to fill the waterline up to the lowest step, and they would be back the following day to complete jets, so on. It's not EIGHT DAYS LATER and we have received every lie in the book. Our liner is buckled, coming apart, filling with water an air behind the liner... it's an absolute mess. We have pleaded over and over again for them to come out and fix this.. they have not done so. If we could give it a zero we would, but there is not a rating for that. So, one it will have to be. They haven't A CLUE on how to build a gunite pool despite all their advertising. They did zero prep work that should have been done. Zero preventative work. Also, they took the cheapest and shortcuts at every turn. It was no wonder our pool deck started showing signs of failure after one month. Signs of an improper installation. Pool pump? A joke! What reputable and knowledgeable pool company installs a 1/2 HP pool pump for an in ground 36 x 14 pool with a spa? It requires a 3 HP pump! Their electrician installed the electrical wires underground as bare wires. Spa lights installed in our pool instead of pool lights. The pool started failing inside of one year. They patched it. Year two they replastered it. What they failed to do was figure out the source of the fail/leak. So, it continued to fail, and Paradise Pools would NEVER return our repeated phone calls. So, year three we had other pool companies come in to inspect the pool. Because of COVID it took a bit longer for us to finally get our pool repaired properly by another pool company but we are doing just that. It was at that point in time we were able to see all the mistakes Paradise Pools had made. You cannot blame everything on the MS soil. "Supposedly" Paradise takes the MS soil into consideration and builds accordingly. Seeing the measures that other pool builders take to deal with and accommodate the MS soil conditions; we can tell you Paradise Pools did zero. I have photos and statements from five different pool builders and a company that does pool pressure and leak detection who all affirm the conclusions. read more

DO NOT hire them to clean your Salt Water Pool. My three month nightmare is finally over, but a word of warning to everyone else. These people were outstanding--great when building my pool. Ryan & Robbie kept me informed, sent me text messages & pictures of the work each day. I'd definitely recommend them for building the pool. BUT, they hate salt water pools & will try to talk you out of one. I should have remembered that when signing up for service. The guy who came out to clean my pool every week is one of their "best" pool guys. In the 3 months he maintained my salt-water pool, it was not chemically balanced ONE SINGLE day. Everything was off. I truly do not believe he knew the first thing about how to maintain a salt pool. And the guy at the shop, Ryan, that I complained to every week about my pool admitted that Richard "hated, HATED" salt water pools. On the 2nd visit, Richard added half a bucket of calcium. It only partially dissolved & ended up leaving crystalized particles coating the bottom of my pool. I started going home on pool cleaning day to see what he was doing. Twice I caught him throwing chlorine tabs into my skimmer. For the next few weeks, I noticed he added not one single thing to the pool. Just complained to me that he had no idea why the calcium had crystalized and wouldn't dissolve. After two months of swimming around in that stuff, I realized he had no idea what to do to mitigate it. I researched & found out that the problem was my pH was too high. On his next visit, he guessed the pH was 8.4. It should be around 7.5. I asked if he was going to add acid (which he should always have & be adding pretty much every week, although I'd never once seen him add any). He said that he didn't have any on the truck & he'd "get me next time." I told him he could use the acid the pool builders had left behind. He stared at it as if I was trying to hand him a snake. He had absolutely no idea what to do with it. He finally took it and mumbled that he'd figure out the calculation of how much to add back in the truck. I wasn't able to make it home the next week Richard was there. My guess is he didn't add anything because the crystalized particles were still hanging around. The following week, he guessed my pH levels were 8.2. When I complained that I wasn't happy with the pool, the excuses came. And it was NEVER his fault. He blamed the calcium for crystalizing; he blamed the acid for not doing its job by lowering the pH. He even blamed his boss for lowing the percentage or the timer (or something) on the salt cell generator the week he was on vacation (because Richard kept telling me that chlorine was ONLY produced when the booster pump that ran the pool cleaner was on; Ryan told me three times that this wasn't true and he'd "talk to Richard about it.") I now go to the shop every week to have water tested. Every week they show me how far off my pool was from balance and say they'll "talk to him." The first week I took water in, they showed the chlorine levels super high. I complained that it was because Richard had been tossing chlorine tabs into the pool. Ryan rolled his eyes, said "no, no, no," & turned to ask the woman behind the counter "why is Richard putting chlorine tabs in her pool?" To which she rolled her eyes & replied, "because he's Richard." This is just appalling to me. I'm stressed. I'm sick & tired of writing them a check for $245 a month & not getting what I'm paying for. Every week for the next month I took the water in to be tested. Every week it was off, but Ryan started telling me "Well, it's not 'that' bad. The water 'looks' good." I asked to speak to the owner, but I'm always diverted to Ryan. Ryan agreed one week to go out & add something to bring the skyrocketing alkalinity down because he was worried about that. I asked Ryan if someone else could take care of my pool & I'm told that everyone loves Richard & always want him back if/whenever someone else is assigned to their pool. At the end of August, someone (a manager???) accompanied Richard to stay and talk to me afterwards. He apologized for the issues with the pool & realized I was unhappy & they wanted a happy customer even if it meant breaking my contract. Of course he did slip in there that "I was stressing Richard out." (Gee, I'm sorry I wanted him to do his job properly.) I asked if I'd be refunded, at least part of what I paid (since I had to pay first & last upon signing the contract.) They agreed not to charge me the penalty fee for breaking the contract, but no way were they going to refund me anything. I, of course, believe that since I didn't get one dime of my money's worth for the past three months, an honorable company would have refunded me at least part of my money, but at least this nightmare is over and I can move on. Hopefully, my nightmare can serve as a warning to others with a salt-water pool to consider someone else for your service needs. read more

Anytime I have had dealt with Paradise their staff has taken great care of me, explaining things is very easy detailed steps to help me. Friends who have had pools built by them had great experiences as well. They seem to be very knowledgable about their products as well as helping you take care of your chemical balance and any problems after purchase as well. read more

I am disgusted by the service my husband and I received through paradise pools and spas in Pearl. First, we were told they could fix blow outs that happened during the time the pool sat up since last year. We were told it would be 3,200 to fix the problem. We ordered the liner and waited around for them to fix the blow outs. Three weeks went by before they even came back to our house and started the job. They shaved the walls down and supposedly put concrete in to hold the walls up but we didn't see where they put concrete in the walls what so ever. They left concrete and piles of dirt on our property and didn't haul off the mess. They left the pool to sit up again for two weeks and we kept calling and calling to see when they would come back and they kept giving us the run around. They finally came and finished the pool Crete and ordered the liner two weeks later. The liner job took another week. They would pop in and pop out not working morning than an hour and drug the job out. Now comes the horrible part! We fill the pool up to realize it was unlevel! Then we call them back out to fix the light they didn't screw back on correctly and noice the stuck pennies in to hole the liner in because it was too small and kept coming out of the tracks. And now we find out we have a hole in the liner because the liner was not measured correctly and was too small and must have ripped somewhere. We have to have the entire pool redone because of the unprofessional long drawn out horrible job they did on our pool. The liner is also trash and we will have to replace it as well. Costing us thousands more money. Will they refund our money? No! They want to patch the pool and said the unlevel is from settling. How can a pool settle in just a week? It can't! They did a horrible job and now we have to hire a lawyer to get our money back and hire another pool company to fix there messed up job! Beware do not go with this company and face the same headache and loss of money like we have!! read more

The staff at Paradise Pools are great. I needed a new liner for my in ground pool and they helped me with every detail. They also did a beautiful job putting in the new liner. Robin was very sweet and has been very patient with all my phone calls asking questions . I would recommend this company to anyone needing help with their pool. They where very of my mindful of my finances when helping me make the best and most affordable decisions about my pool. Awesome, friendly, professional, sweet people . One thing I failed to mention in my first review. When the other company I used built the pool I chose the salt system. This is my fault for not doing my homework. After 3 years the really expensive circuit board went out. Paradise Pools did come out and install the frog system. It has been about 3 years now and we are extremely pleased with it and it is easy and low cost to maintain. read more

Worst. Pool. Company. Ever!!! Do NOT use this pool company! We hired them to remodel/update our pool and deck and nearly everything they did was messed up. They bent our fence, ruined our flower bed, broke some of the brick on the side of the house (which they replaced....however it looks like a toddler did it), broke patio blocks, broke solar lights, busted the top on my septic tank, etc. They were very sloppy and left a mess every time they were here. We have constantly had to battle with them at every turn. They have missed hooking up things and have hooked other things up wrong. Also, I had asked for a tanning ledge to be added. They added a 24" deep kiddie pool instead. They ended up redoing it, but wanted to charge us for the new liner, when it was their mistake to begin with. They poured a horrible looking concrete deck which was holding water, sloping too much, had cold joint, not enough rock salt added in some areas, too much rock salt in others (looks like they spilled the whole bag in some areas). They attempted to fix the potholes where the concrete was holding water by adding a "patch". This patch did not fix the problem, just made it more unsightly. They also dug some tunnels into the concrete, to try to fix it, which will cause the excess water to run into our flower bed, thereby washing out any mulch that we may have in there. Their final solution was to paint it to cover all of the patches, sanding, etc.; however, you can still see all the mistakes. Now, after 3 months of dealing with this, they have walked off our job, leaving pipes exposed, dirt work not finished, and have NOT installed our $3500 slide (which we have already paid for, and which WAS included on our signed contract) and said they will not be back unless we pay them an additional $3500.00. read more

Excellent installation. Five Stars all the way. After receiving quotes from numerous pool contractors around the metro Jackson area (Jackson-Brandon-Clinton-Madison) and fielding through their reputations, we decided to go with Paradise Pools in Pearl, MS for our pool repair/redo/makeover project. Our existing concrete decking was shifting, we needed a new liner, and our steps had a small hole in them that had gone unnoticed for over a year (I suspect our bad hail storm had caused the damage). Needless to say, it was A LOT of work and essentially like installing a brand new pool, less the "hole-digging". Paradise Pools actually came in the cheapest at $22,000. All the others went up from there considerably (ridiculously would be a better fit) because of the amount of concrete removal involved and it all had to be jackhammered (no room for any machines due to our lot and landscape). I can honestly say that for the first time in our lives that we had NO COMPLAINTS. Zero. Nada. Zilch. My husband and I are both in the construction field of service and through that, along with our own personal projects over the years, we know what a rarity that is in "contractor world". They showed up when they said they would and stuck to a very tight schedule. The gentleman who oversaw our job and laid the brick pavers was so meticulous about each and every detail, which we truly appreciated. He even showed up sick when they poured the concrete because he "wanted" to be there. The ladies in the store were extremely knowledgeable and were an immense help with our selections. I loved the fact that they had a backup plan ready incase the brickyard didn't have our choice of pavers in stock. They were totally on top of their game. When the job was finished, they cleaned up all their stuff and left the pool immaculate. All in all, Paradise Pools was a pure pleasure to do business with. This is the first response I have received from this company! My first review speaks for itself in which I will not go back over. I will correct there response. I do want to clarify that in my review that the bottom of the inside bed was NOT an issue when the liner was removed. Actually the guy who removed the liner told me the bottom was solid and okay. They just wanted to point out the rust around where the skinner was. After checking with an pool expert as I stated they said that pool could last another 10 years where they was intent on trying to sell me a new pool and changing out to different liner. Costing thousands more. Yes I called them back and ask to them to send them back to lay in the liner ( which yes I purchased from online which should of had no impact) The problem came in when when they not do come back to lay the liner to the exposed open Bottom ( which again I state was not an issue and their worker stated) when they assured me will back next morning before it rained. ( refer to my other review.). I did get the oppunity to speak to the manger after he left. Told her of the concerns and issues as stated. Laying the liner in after the rain made the bottom soft which cos all the deep foot prints all over the bottom of pool. If they have come back as I was told it would of not created this issue or when they layed it they should of let me know of that time the problem. She stated to me she was sorry but there was another issue that came up and it was just a hard call. She at that time ask that I send her pictures in which I sent her several! I never heard a response back from them. In which I attempted calls to office, left message, even attempted to send message vis text after I sent pics with respond. Seeing that they have stated they have tried to contact me to no avail I do not understand that cos they have many ways to contact me. Also. Stating I was happy with the job till my friends told me how terrible it was! If you follow the process of this I addressed this immediately when he came to cut out skinner. In his response he is stating my "friends " had an influence on this situation!!!!! How could this be so so? Most important of all sooo wrong stating I want something for free. I payed you 1150.00. I was trying to get ahold of ya'll to speak to someone to reconcile this issues. I HAVE NEVER EXPECTED any thing free but I do expect people to reconcile their mistakes. As I would myself!!!
