Our first Poké Bowl.. definitely delicious!! My only complaint is the servers each have different amounts. My husband has far much veggies on his. But delicious, fresh food! Loved the tuna!

My favourite Poké bowl place in Ottawa. Lots of options to choose from along with a build your own option. Poké bowls are reasonably priced for the amount you get. The actual place itself has a super adorable aesthetic. Always super busy around lunch hours but definitely worth it.

Friendly service. The place is cute but pretty uncomfortable to eat in there if it's busy. And it was pretty busy that day. Food was great. Seemed fresh. The place itself was clean. Lots of choices of ingredients. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I had the tuna poke bowl and it was good. Had some left over and it was still good a few hours later

Absolutely loved this place. It's got a really great aesthetic, play great music and the staff is super friendly. All of this comes together to create a fun and trendy atmosphere. The food was delicious and I'm already thinking about going back for more. I had a smoothie bowl and my friend had a poke bowl and we both loved our choices and their housemade iced tea was nice too. There's lots of options for customization and the prices are decent. I'll absolutely be coming back.

If you want to find a quick and healthy bowl for lunch, this is the place. Nothing special, but they make a good poke.

I believe this is the old tapas bar that was a Spanish place for a bit, though I could be mistaken on the Spanish place. It's a small little space but it's nice in there. When I came in to place an order there was a group of 6 or so people taking their time to pay their bills. The server looked at me, smiled and mouthed sorry to me. We both smiled and after everybody paid let them know that there was nothing to apologize for. After going over the menu a couple of times there was a combo with 3 proteins to choose and 2 sides. I opted for this to try a few things. I ended up getting rice, macaroni, chicken katsu, Hawaiian beef, and white fish. I paid up and in about 10 minutes, they had me packed and ready to go. The bag was pretty hefty and I made my way home. I popped it open and it looked decent. It came with 3 sauces as well which was nice. It reminded me of something I'd get takeout from a place with counter service but I wish I knew the white fish was fried or I would have opted for something else to avoid having 2 fried items. First bite, the chicken katsu was OK. I decided to try the white fish and it wasn't my favourite. I tried it with the yellow sauce and it was a bit better. I tried a bit of the macaroni and kind of bland. Rice was a bit overcooked as well. I made my way back to the beef as that was recommended to be very tender. It was...OK. All in all a bunch of OK items. It kind of reminded me of something that'd be in the food counter behind a buffet counter. Unsure I liked anything enough to really want to come back but then I think I saw loco moco as well so may eventually make my way back. Super friendly staff and a really cool atmosphere.

Tried the two meat plate, the Mahi-Mahi was excellent and the fried chicken also as for the side it needs improvement. Macaroni salad was very bland missing spice and over cooked, a big ball of sticky rice would also need some improvement.

I forgot how dangerous build-your-own is :'(…read more I've been wanting to try this Paradise Poké for so long! When its first location opened on Bank, I'd always walk past but they'd be sold out. I finally got to try this location after seeing them on UberEats and wow, did I ever pay for it haha I got the build-your-own poké (BYOP) bowl, which already starts at $21.95 before taxes, fees, and tip. I got it with sushi rice, double ahi tuna (an extra $6.75), all the mix-ins (cucumber, green onion, sweet onion, and sesame seeds), miso ginger and coco-wasabi cream sauces, purple cabbage, edamame, radish, pickled daikon, and crispy shallots. It was so loaded and I finished everything but the rice, but in hindsight I don't know if I really needed the double tuna. They were nice, big, meaty chunks, but I do wish they were marinated instead of just plain ahi tuna. The rice was good and warm when it came, but I really didn't need that much of it. The veggies were all great and fresh. The pickled daikon was surprisingly sweeter and not as sour as I imagined it would be. The crispy shallots were a nice addition, and even though I had two other onions in my bowl, I didn't feel like the onion flavour was overpowering. The sauces were good but not as flavourful as I expected or would've liked. I would've loved to taste the wasabi a bit more, but it was very, very mild and not at all spicy, in my opinion. I didn't quite taste the miso, either. Loved the option to customize, they definitely use quality ingredients and have don't skimp on the portions, and I was full and satisfied. I don't think it was quite worth the price I paid, but I'm glad I tried it! It ended up being a comparable price to the prime rib I actually thought I ordered (watch out for those multiple UberEats carts haha).. I'm sure they were very confused with the "medium rare and horseradish on the side please" note on the order LOL Next time it would make much more sense to go in person to avoid all the extra fees on third-party delivery services.

Charging $20 for a bowl of sushi/brown rice with an asian fusion mix of fixings is very pricey, compare this to a $9 rotisserie chicken, or a $13 medium pizza, or a $17 order of perogies? $20 is very expensive! 2. This business also lacks restroom facilities. There's a simple counter and chairs if you want to dine-in, but then you're on your own to go elsewhere if you need to the restrooms. I will definitely be a regular customer at this business, but it'll be no more than once every other week, only because I can't afford to go more often!

Edo Japan has come such a long way! It's a Canadian chain that sells Japanese food. It was founded…read morein 1979 and started off exclusively in mall food courts mainly just selling chicken and beef teriyaki on white rice. I used to hate it because it was mostly bean sprouts and onions (with some cabbage and carrots) with gristley meat on plain rice. So I avoided Edo for like 20 years, lol. However, recently one of my co-workers bought his lunch from there and it was a noodle bowl and looked delicious. I asked him where it was from and I was shocked when he said Edo Japan. They have totally expanded their menu, have stand alone locations now (of which this is one of them) and their food is pretty good for fast food, just a bit pricey imo. I got the Hawaiian Chicken Bento Box ($13.75). It came with my choice of 2 sides. I got Gyoza and California Rolls. The Hawaiian Chicken is chicken, pineapple, cabbage, broccoli and carrots on a bed of white rice (the menu said mushrooms were included, my meal for some reason did not have mushrooms). I got 2 Gyoza. The filling was ground pork. I got 4 California rolls. I asked for no sesame seeds and they were able to accommodate. The California rolls were grocery store quality sushi, so not that good. The filling was cucumber, avocado and an imitation crab salad (mixed with mayo). No masago. It was pretty flavourless. Gyoza were good. Fried from frozen, but to be expected of fast food joints. The Hawaiian Chicken was fried up to order. It was pretty tasty. I asked for their teriyaki sauce on the side and they gave me so much of it. I'm glad I didn't get the sauce on the food. It would have been way too wet and saucy for me. Service was very friendly and courteous. I'm so glad that I gave Edo Japan another chance. For Japanese fast food, they are pretty good. Obviously not as good as Japanese non-fast food, but you have to take places for what they are. This location is in College Square. It's next to Thai Express. Along the same side as Starbucks and BMO. Lots of free parking.

We got a nice seat in the corner pretty quickly and only had to wait a bit until the server came with the menus. The menu is fairly small and they do almost a "fushion" so they aren't really known for anything specific, like ramen or sushi so we opted to get one of each. Their waters come in these really cute round water cups with a lime. I ordered the sushi special ($18) and he ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen ($12) with the unagi sashimi ($6-7). The sushi was made pretty quickly and I could see it sitting on the counter waiting for the ramen to be finished so they could come together. The ramen was a full bowl and it smelled pretty great. I had a little bit and it's got a spice kick that will linger and just goes through your mouth. However, most ramen places I go to give you both sides of the egg, this one only did one side. His unagi came as a sushi when we asked for sashimi so we had to ask them to take it back to get what we originally wanted. It took them about 15 minutes (which I thought was a long time) so we kind of had it for dessert. My sushi special (for lunch) was just salmon rolls with avacado on top, one of tuna, salmon, snapper and red tuna and a little bit of seaweed salad as well as a miso soup. It was a bit overpriced for what it was in my opinion. However, the sushi was good, rolled well, the rice and fish tasted fresh and melted in my mouth. Would have given the place 5/5 if I didn't feel like their food was a bit over priced and if the ramen was a bit better.

Decent broth, noodles were fine, egg was almost perfect. Not great: when someone posted that the decor was dated, I didn't expect that the vinyl on the chairs would be practically worn through. Also, not the cleanest place: I sat at the bar and there were some guy's business cards in front of me from who knows when. Water was tepid. Overall, will make the effort to go to Santouku Ramen next time.
