This last visit, David showed me a previously loved Deering Sierra tenor banjo they had in on consignment. It was awesome, and I walked out with yet another instrument under my arm for what I thought to be a very fair price. I agree with the other review here; could you find a beginner uke (or nice guitar for that matter) at a slightly lower price at a big box music store? Perhaps. Will you be getting the personal customer service from knowledgeable employees while supporting a wonderful small business in Black Mountain? I think not. Stop by and take a look. It's a great little store and I didn't feel pressured in the slightest. Great experience overall.

Many years ago I got burned buying a new Martin with a very poor neck set and bad truss rod. Martin was not forthcoming in wanting to pay for the repairs. So, when I am looking at a purchase I have a machinists rule that I use to take critical measurements, on every guitar I pick up. This got on Susan's nerves, and I understand. Regardless, and most important to me, Susan is the most talented guitar teacher I have ever met, and I'm old. Her written arrangements of tunes are so far superior to most of what is out there. She should put together some type of book and it would be well welcomed. I live outside Charlotte, so it is LONG drive for somebody in my age bracket, 70's. First, I'd like to calm her down from my first meeting.. Then, I'd like to try and figure somehow, some way that we could get together on lessons. take my word, I doubt you will do better than susan Blessings On Susan and Her Folks !
