I do apologize if you read this, dear Paradise Hill Park, you are indeed better than three stars, and I'm doing some soul searching, asking myself how I could rate you so. You are, indeed, covered in green grass, with large open spaces where children might frollic, a smattering of trees line your perimeter, sheltering us from the New Mexico sun, and you offer areas for groups to gather and picnic together, again, a bonus feature pushing your star value upward.
And oh how I haven't begun to note your most impressive feature, the skate/bike/scooter park in your belly. Sure, it's not a theme park, but the kids certainly appear to enjoy it, and after you've watched them come and go for a couple of hours it's clear that in this era, the scooter is winning the popularity contest. It's all good, Paradise Hills Park, you're a winner, encouraging people to get some exercise in the heart of a pandemic, offering recreation, connection, and a slice of green on a westside sand dune. I guess I can't really explain this rating I bestow upon you other than to state that meh, I've enjoyed much better. read more
