Shipping times on website are utter BS. I've ordered from here three times. Not one single time has my order arrived in the time promised. Not for small things or for large expensive things. Customer service is unreliable. First time was a few years ago, just fiber. Not on time. Small order, not a huge deal. Second time was late last month, a spinning wheel. Ordered on a Friday, website said it would be to me in less than a week. I made plans to take a class with the wheel. It took so long I canceled my class sign up because the wheel did not arrive in a timely fashion. I called and the system hung up on me, called again and when I pressed button for customer service it again hung up on me, I emailed, messaged on IG about it, no response. Third time I called a couple days later, I finally got through. Wheel had to be shipped to them first, then they forwarded it. It got to me two weeks after I ordered it, too late for my class. I open it... and it is the wrong wheel. Manufacturer sent them the wrong thing. They call Kromski. No response. Three days later after the weekend I call and pressure them. They call Kromski. Kromski says I have to send it back, which I do within an hour of receiving the shipping label. Told them I expect the correct wheel sent ASAP. Kromski says they won't send me what I ordered until the one I returned shows up - which could be never, I don't control the post office, and I kept insisting they send me one now, they'd had my money for over two weeks. Only once I threatened to cancel my order and either get the right wheel from a different retailer or a different wheel from a different retailer did Paradise Fibers step in and insist that Kromski promptly send me the right wheel. But they did at least finally step in in my behalf. Eventually. So I just ordered expensive accessories for said wheel last Friday since customer service had eventually done the right thing last time. Website promised delivery by tomorrow (four days after order.) But I got a notice that the most expensive item is again back ordered, due in 7-10 days to PF, and they are holding the entire order on that item, so I won't see any of the stuff I ordered for at least two weeks. In short, their website lies hugely about when you'll get your stuff, and customer service is hit or miss at best. This will probably be a shop of last resort for me from here on out. Their selection is great but I simply can't be sure if they actually have what they say they have, or when it will arrive. It's too bad, as it is in my state and I'd prefer to keep my dollars relatively local. But three times is too many, especially on expensive equipment. read more

This store is AMAZING! Everyone is so nice and helpful. Owners Travis and Sarah are very cool. On a Saturday, I was visiting my son at Gonzaga and decided to stop by, hoping I'd find Malabrigo yarn. I hit the jackpot! Not only did they have a gigantic selection of Malabrigo, but they were having a raffle for four kits of Malabrigo! And they had fresh baked sourdough that Travis bakes, homemade cookies and cupcakes. I was able to deliver sweets to the guys waiting for me in our truck which bought me more time at the store. I am contemplating a move to Spokane from Seattle for this yarn shop! And, to top things off, I ended up winning one of the raffle prizes! Hooray! I'll be back! read more

Paradise Fibers really helped me recently. A yarn manufacturer drastically changed the tones on their yarns recently so colors with the same name were actually different colors. I needed an additional skein of a yarn in the "old" tone. I scoured locally in Chicagoland but could not find any of this yarn in the old dye lots. I also checked Ravelry, but all of the stash skeins in the color I needed were not for sale. I contacted Paradise Fibers via email and explained the situation. Sara responded quickly. She did not have the exact dye lot I was using, but she understood my explanation and sent me a photo via text of the yarn she had in that color. The color in the photo looked really close to the yarn I needed. I placed my order via the website. The yarn was well packaged and arrived when expected. Can you spot the original yarn in the photo? It's vast inside, with every possible knitting, crocheting, looming product available. They have so much yarn, from the highest quality wools to affordable acrylics. You can get lost in here. I have recently begun the journey into fibers and spinning. I just moved to the Spokane area and was told prior to my move to check out paradise fibers. I very quickly decided to do that wanting to see options for fibers and some color ways to do on my drop spindle. For Christ I received a spinning wheel and am very excited to begin that journey. When my daughter in law and I stopped into the store to check it out I was pleasantly surprised with the upstairs fiber room. More fiber then I could have ever imagined. The colors and blends are endless. I didn't want to leave. And I wanted to buy it all. I had to control myself and just take a deep breath and enjoyed the moment. Please, read reviews before you shop in this store! So sad...Rude, very unprofessional service! This shop is no longer same as I remember and go down so fast. Packages arrived with missing items. No respond to emails, phone calls to resolve the issue with missing items. Very rude when I finally reach out to someone to resolve the issues. Issue was not resolved. Problem is, who ever mark, highlighted my order items was mark items, and was not placed in my package, but mark as they were there. Person who spoke to me over phone stated someone will reach out to me. No one did. Items is clearly missing from package but the person over phone told me it was issues with UPS and they have to file a clime for this. Package was in good condition, no damage, why file a clime with UPS? I am no longer costumer of this business. They just lost value customer over their rudeness. Went into buy an E-Spinner about 2 months ago. Looked at some yarn, had a few questions. Explained I wanted to see one to purchase. There were 2 employees at the store at the time. SO RUDE. Was treated like a hobo just because I was wearing my old green barn coat. This place is absolutely magnificent! From the moment I walked in, I fell in love!! Truthfully, I have been yarn shopping in NYC, I have been yarn shopping in Seattle, in Portland -- I have never seen a stash quite like this. Just rows and rows and rows and rows of luscious yarn. They also have a HUGE needle section, spinning wheel selection, accessories, bags, swifts, ball winders, whatever you need. While here, I had to exchange a needle set, because someone had purchased the sharps and I prefer the regulars - it was seemless and they were so concerned with my satisfaction. I really could just go on and on and on. Every staff memeber seemed to love their job and want to help you. If you're a yarn lover and within 50-100 miles, this is worth the trip! read more

I love the supply store. They have everything from wool, yarn, looms, spinning wheels and even crochet hooks and knitting needles. They have everything at a very reasonable price and I like that. Yes, some is a bit expensive but you can find everything you need right there in their site. I enjoy my fiber of the month kit. This month is game of thrones and I'm excited to see what I got! I love being able to experiment with all sorts of fibers and dying methods and in the end I come out with a truly unique yarn that I made myself! read more

Was really excited to check out this shop. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed! The shop is large and seems to have a good selection. However ... customer service is terrible. I walked in and hesitated, started looking around, then walked around a bit. I feel like I looked like a customer who was new. The woman behind the counter was complaining about a customer and reading an email out loud to someone standing at the counter. I hesitated near the counter and still no greeting or request to help me. So unprofessional. Rachel I got the number finally weeks later they released my statement today it was 5821 so I wasn't a scammer. i honestly showed you what was in my credit card portal and the transaction which doesn't contain that number. Your idea of not shipping a customers order until they receive a ambiguous number on their statement weeks later is not good customer service. also putting out the amount of my order for people to see is releasing private information on a customer is just wrong. I wish that I lived closer to this fiber Paradise (see what I did there?). I walked in and BAM! my favorite yarn - Malabrigo - was right there to greet me. The stock at this store is huge, which you cannot accurately determine from the outside. The staff was so sweet and even helped me pick the perfect skeins of souvenir yarn; custom-dyed Ancient Arts fiber in the colorway 'Spokane.' I hope to have knit that up in time for my return in October. To be honest, I'll be back even if it isn't finished. ;^) read more

I had high hopes when we went to visit the shop. Sadly disappointed. Absolutely ZERO customer service. I was there meandering every aisle for over half an hr and not one clerk said a word to me - tho there were several people working that day. As I left I waited near the front to see if there'd be any sort of remarks or greeting from the two lounging at the counter or other worker nearby, but nope. Nothing. In addition, the interior rather matches the dreary exterior. Poorly lit and laid out with a maze-like "warehouse" sort of feel, nothing cozy or inviting about it at all. Skip this place! (Instead, I recommend venturing down the road to Couer d'Alene and going to Knit Knit. So glad we were driving that way and saw a sign for them. I stopped by here last night to get some yarn wound, that I brought with me from Virginia, knowing that I would have to pay a slight fee and to pick up some new yarn. Can I just say that the 2 ladies who helped me were fantastic! So helpful with the winding, including the one that was a tangled mess, and with showing me where their small batch hand-dyed yarns were. The first was very knowledgeable about their limited edition, yarn of the month club yarns. I will definitely be back before I leave! Zero customer service after my order mysteriously took 11 days to arrive after I paid 2-day shipping. No response to emails. No response to phone calls (phone wasn't even answered during day hours). Afraid that the business had secretly closed and took my $100 credit card charge with them, I filed a complaint with PayPal. After PayPal could not rouse them, it went to a claim. And the VERY DAY the claim was filed, they shipped my order, as quietly and weirdly as they had ignored me for the previous week. Also, as reviewer Beth M. noted: "someone" has flagged all the reviews except the 5-star reviews on Trustpilot, the review service that Paradise Fibers uses for their website. Basically, yes, I'm a fan, because this store is like a toy store for me. It's filled floor to ceiling with beautiful, beautiful yarns, in gorgeous colors. It has roving, and spinning wheels, and needles and dye and just about everything one could want except. . . Knowledgeable, efficient staff. I was looking for a particularly brand of acid dye; they didn't carry it; but what I was really looking for was the primary colors of any brand of acid dye. Some colors are "mixed" colors (composed of a combination of the dye's primary colors) and some are not mixed (the primaries). One clerk knew what I was talking about and managed to find someone (after maybe 10 min.) who said basically that in the brand that they carried, all colors were "mixed" (this is OK, answered my question). She was away for so long, however, that I spotted another clerk and asked her the same question, but she was quite insistent that any red, yellow, blue colors were the primaries, and annoyed with me when I disagreed. No. Checking out using the Yelp deal--$50 coupon for $75 worth of goods--was also cumbersome, requiring a 5-10 min. wait while the clerk carried my phone (with the deal on it) to someone else to ask what to do. Every staff interaction took inordinately long. However, I left with more gorgeous yarn than I expected to be able to afford and overall had a good experience. I'll definitely be back, but I won't expect a lot of assistance from the staff. BTW, in the past I ordered from them by phone and got the wrong bobbins for my spinning wheel because I didn't know exactly what I needed, and the staff couldn't help, so it appears that the problem is pervasive. read more

I was in search of Brown Sheep Company's Burly Spun yarn in "Orange You Glad," and unfortunately could not find it anywhere within the immediate vicinity. What resulted was a massive web search for this yarn, with little or no success until...like a lifeline from the sea of online yarn retailers I found Paradise Fibers. I am apprehensive of online purchasing, so I decided to call the toll-free number to place my order. I felt ridiculous calling to place such a small order, but the voice on the other end of the line was friendly and helpful. Not only did they have "Orange You Glad" they had it at a discounted price! The purchase went smoothly and a few days later I received my yarn. I opened the bag and immediately got a whiff of patchouli...ahh, memories. I really want to give this place a better rating, because the yarn selection is out of this world. Phenomenal selection of roving! I was in awe of the amount of gorgeous yarn. I love fiber art and want to support a local shop, but the customer service lacks so hard. Hard to get help, or answers. Having a clerk help me was like pulling teeth. No frame looms in stock?? No classes offered?? How does a fiber shop expect to stay in business with no classes offered and terrible customer service? I mean, this is why brick and mortar are closing down. Stubborn, and not giving customers what they want. Teaching people how to weave with yarn would be a smart idea, create more customers in a small niche market. Go to hook and needle instead. I've not had the opportunity to visit the shop as I live in Portland, Oregon and own a shop there (Pearl Fiber Arts). However, I was in Spokane this week to be with my sister as she transitioned from this life to the next. I spent most of the week with her at the Hospice House and got a lot of knitting done -- too much done as I ran out of supplies I had brought with me! I didn't want to leave her side to go shopping for myself, so I browsed the website to pick what I wanted and called to see if there was a chance they could process the order and put it in a cab or Uber or something and have it delivered to me. Chris was so very, very kind! He said he was about to leave and would pull my order and bring it to me himself. That is customer service above and beyond the call of duty and I am so grateful. Having knitting to do while I sat vigil with my sister was a true blessing and Chris from Paradise Fibers made it happen. I am beyond grateful and my niece, who is expecting a new baby in August, will be the recipient of a very cute Monkey hat made from the yarn Chris delivered to me. It's a mitzvah! :) read more

Came here yesterday to learn how to knit socks. The ladies were so helpful and gave me advice and lead me in the right direction for my project. They even invited me back in if I needed help or just to sit around and knit. Their selection of yarn is fabulous and high quality. Oh wow, I love this place... I almost have no words. I have ordered yarn, a weaving loom and fiber online from them and have always been satisfied. To visit in person however, was a revelatory experience. A huge, well-lit store, knowledgeable, helpful staff, and an incredible selection of yarn, fiber, books, tools add up to the highlight of my recent trip to Spokane. I went in intending to test-drive a spinning wheel and ended up spending almost an hour with one of the owners giving me my first lesson! Although I did not end up going home with new wheel that day, you can count on my continued patronage especially when it comes time to make that big of a purchase. They've earned a customer for life and I will make it a point to stop in any time I am in Spokane. read more

Yarn up to the ceiling! Well stocked and tidy, beauty and the beast library-style ladders that ROLL! I've been so tempted to get on em' but I'm a chicken, I haven't :((((( I think yarn pieces are ridiculous, but I don't think that should reflect off of this place. If you are a spinner, it's not a bad place to order fiber (which is hard to find at brick and mortar stores these days). However, avoid the fiber club at all costs! Paradise is not at all upfront about what is included or when it will ship. When you cancel, they will turn around and create another order for the following month and it's up to you to return it.
