The shop is located in a vibrant pink house and has its own parking lot. The house has various rooms with different options to choose from in each. I had an errand to run in Canonsburg today, so since I was in the area, I thought I would check out…read morethe NEW Sarris Candy Factory Store (not to be confused with the original location store (and Ice Cream Parlor), which is also in Canonsburg). It's a little bit off the beaten path, and thankfully I had my GPS to guide me back to this location, (although it would have sent me to the wrong part of the building (employee factory area) had I not noticed the signs for the store). Look for the big blow-up balloon on the left side of the large factory building to find the correct door. The inside is reminiscent of Willie Wonka's Factory, lots of colors and unique decorations. It's a very Instgrammable spot. They had a nice selection of candies, clothing, and gifts. Some of the candies were on sale, such as the "Assorted Goofs," which are items that didn't fully meet the perfection standards of Sarris. Also on sale, and what I purchased, were an assortment that was marked down from $29.95 to $9.95 (a $20 savings), because they are redesigning the artwork on the packaging, hence the discount. I restrained myself and didn't go crazy buying all kinds of sweets, but I could have gone bananas and purchased all kinds of yummy looking stuff. This place was worth checking out, and I am glad I went. The cashier was so nice and after my purchase, she threw in some free chocolate covered pretzel samples and offered me two free different designs of postcards. They also offer a factory tour for ten dollars which lets you go up on the second level and peer onto the production floor and it looked like you get to see videos also about how they make the chocolates. I'll have to try the tour some day . . . Cheers!
