I ordered a takeout dinner. The restaurant is one of several in the building on Buford Highway and…read morethe parking lot was nearly full. It was early so the dining room had only two or three occupied tables and no one at the bar in the back yet. I was greeted immediately and waited a short time for my order to be ready. All the way home I could smell delicious odors from the bag! I ordered Churrasco de Entrada which is grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and two sides. The steak was amazing! Tender, juicy, melted in my mouth. I had grilled vegetables and baked potato for sides. The vegetables were a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods, carrots, and zucchini. They were cooked well and flavored with garlic. The foil packet of potatoes contained three small round potatoes also perfectly cooked through not seasoned at all. The meal came with three small dinner rolls and a few packets of butter. Everything was flavorful and delicious; garlic was quite strong though which I loved but might not be everyone's liking. I also ordered Alfajores from the bakery section for dessert. These are little sandwiches with soft shortbread cookies on the outside and soft dulce de leche and coconut filling between them. Four came in the box. This meal was at least two servings for me and it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to eating in the restaurant next time.

The location is in a small plaza with hard time to park because of the amount of businesses around. The restaurant is big with a lot of tables and good for big groups but too dark for my taste, the windows are so dark from outside that if it wasn't for the " open" sign you would think it is close. The food is good, I liked the quality of the chorizo and the skirt steak was grilled properly. I wished the fries were "fresh-cut", I understand that frozen fries are easier but a good steak deserves good fries. Another thing that lowers the experience is that the condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise are in packets like a fast food chain. The service was standard, I had to call my server everytime I wanted a refill. ( even thought the restaurant wasn't full).

I was greeted with a smile and placed an order for an empanada combo. I tried beef, cheese and chicken empanadas. The beef was my favorite. But the others were delicious and my family loved them. The sweet plantains were perfectly cooked. I wished I'd ordered more. The place is just so cute! They have a full variety of Cuban coffee and other sandwiches that I'll be back to try.

It was the exact OPPOSITE! I ordered the lechon with comes with Black beans, rice and plantains. The rice - gummy gelatinous exterior, not fresh. The beans - The slightest of flavor and a 2 out of 5. They were not watery which only good thing about it. The plantains - The only item that was fantastic. It had a burnt slight crisp on the outside and were actually the best plantains I've ever had. I had to mix little bites of them to be able to eat any of the food. The lechon - in the photos they look really good. Even the photo I took did not look the same as in person as it shows on camera. Pale in color (old not fresh), dry and horrible flavor if I can even call it that. What a huge disappointment overall. The good: The girl cashier was nice and helpful when we asked if the dirty table could be cleaned before we sat. It's a cute interior to grab a quick bite. Music was good. They make fresh empanadas to order.

My first impression was that it looked like we're going to be eating in the middle of a grocery store. It is a little cramped, but cozy. However.., it does give me the Guatemala vibes. The food is in a cafeteria style setting. Where I would imagine it is changed around every day. It did seem like they have staple foods there as well. Tamales, chuchitos, etc. I chose to get a few things to try it out. Starting with Caldo de Gallina (hen soup) - hearty portion, big and with plenty of chicken and veggies. Tasty and comforting food. I also got a couple of Pupusas (tortillas with pork and cheese) as well as a chicken empanada. Everything was delicious and although it was warmed up, it tasted almost freshly made. This establishment is missing a Panaderia (bakery) to get the Pan Dulce (sweet bread) and other goodies. Strolling through the aisles of the store does give me nostalgia and reminds me of Guatemala for sure. Will be back in the future to try some other things from there.

She gave me stale pupusas before and she uses her bare hands to touch the food. If there's any issue with the food, she will give you a fake smile and insist that you take the bad food especially if you don't speak Spanish. She pretends to not understand you. Other than that this is a nice lunch spot. 3.5/5

It's a Chinese restaurant with a Venezuelan twist, which is something only Venezuelans will understand -- but trust me, even if you're not Venezuelan, you NEED to try this. They've got everything: lumpias (aka spring rolls), fried rice loaded with 3 or 5 proteins, shrimp, different Venezuelan-style combos -- all freshly made and packed with flavor. The portions are HUGE, the prices are super fair, and you can literally taste that everything is cooked with love. It's takeout only since it's inside a gas station, but the service is amazing. They're super friendly and fast. I called to place my order, and by the time I got there, it was ready -- just paid and left. You can order in person too, but honestly, call ahead so you can grab it and go. They're open every day from 11 a.m. to around 7 / 7:30 p.m., even though Google might say something else. If you're craving something different, generous, and FULL of flavor, this is it. Venezuelans will feel right at home -- and everyone else will be converted after the first bite.
