Good pizza for the area (Glenview). I am a huge pizza critic so my ratings must be taken in that manner. Pappi's is your "let's get a slice" pizza. Thin crust is very thin, tastes like a slice, and is generally average pizza. The crust is crunchy even in the middle. There is nothing special about this pizza, but for the area, it beats many competitors. There wasn't too much sauce on the pizza making it dry, especially with the crunchy crust. The cheese is a good grade, which is huge! Owners are very nice and the customer service is excellent. Not sure if I would go back, but o lay because I'm very picky with my pizza and only eat the best. Ordered a pizzalad with ranch on the side. When it arrived for delivery (through Grubhub app) there was ranch on the pizzalad. Called the restaurant to explain that I ordered with ranch on the side because someone eating the pizzalad is unable to eat ranch, therefore making it inedible. I asked if they could make a smaller version (since we ordered a large) to be delivered as we originally ordered. They first asked for my address and after providing them with that they insisted they couldn't deliver it as their sole pizza deliverer would take two hours to return. They proceeded to ask me if I contacted Grubhub about my order. I told them that I'd prefer to not receive a refund through Grubhub as this was supposed to be dinner for my family and without it, we had nothing prepared to eat. Within minutes, the tone of the phone call drastically changed when they abruptly told me they didn't want to talk with me, nor deal with my issue and that I should call Grubhub and never order from them again. Extremely rude, especially considering they were completely responsible for the error. Won't be ordering from here again. read more

There are a lot of pizza joints around Glenview, and Pappi's is the best thin crust you're gonna find! In comparison, nobody does it as well as Pappi's, not Viccino's, not Pizza Bakery, not Caruso's, no one. The staff is the friendliest bunch of people I have ever encountered at any restaurant, let alone a pizza place. Pappi's Pizza has my vote, over, and over, and over again. Do yourself a favor and get a large thin crust ASAP! read more

SKOKIE FLYERS regularly order Pizza from Mike and his family. They do a specialty designed pizza featuring a hockey player shooting a puck (made from olives). Awesome pizza. Awesome FLYERS people. His pizza goes FAST when we feed a team of hungry game tired payers - three players will pull a Pappi's pizza apart in slabs and be back looking for me. All we have to remove is the pizza box, which is still warm, and picked clean. Tell Mike the SKOKIE FLYERS sent you. Note - Pappis is a delivery/pick up store front - although I am sure Mike won't mind if you have to crack the box on his counter to have a tied-you-over-till-you-get-home piece (or three) of pizza. I ordered pizza from Pappis this past weekend. It was Icelands spring show on Saturday and we had a little time to kill in between the shows and didnt want to run out like everyone else. #1 they were on time - need to feed hungry kids #2 the pizza was delicious # 3 they even gave pizza to feed the office staff at Iceland - love the sharing #4 they even gave a heart shaped pizza for one of the girls Birthday that weekend. #5 they are awesome. Had our son's 6th birthday at The Glen, had all the school classmates and neighbirhood kids there (oh baby a big group), and Pappi's pizza did it right! I could tell from my first call, when Mike said, we will do everything we can to meet your needs, that this was the right "go-to" place. Ate here while on vacation - had the thin crust sausage and a canadian bacon, pineapple, and onion pan pizza. They were so delicious, stringy cheese and thick soft dough with slight crunch on outside. The toppings were plentiful and proportionate. The owner was working, very warm and friendly man, said he uses only the freshest highest quality ingredients, which many restaurants claim to use, but here I could really taste the difference. When I was a kid, I started my stuffed pizza journey with pappi's. At the time, I thought it was great but figured I should go out and try all kinds of stuffed and deep dish style pizzas. From Pequod's to Gino's East, to Giordano's, to Lou Malnati's. But even after all of the different pizza greats, I always come back to Pappi's. The pizza is just that good. It has delicious sauce with what I can only guess is deeply rooted in fennel, oregano and other spices that I just wish I could replicate. It's incredible. The crust isn't crunchy or too soft but instead flakey. Sometimes when I had a pizza in the fridge, people in my family would try to steal the crust off of a slice without me knowing. That's how you know it's great. On top of that, the owners are always friendly when I come in and have the warmest welcome as soon as you pop in the door. Yet I still haven't had their famed pizzalad. I'll be getting both by the end of the month. Mark my words. read more

TOTAL SCAM....BE CAREFUL ORDERING FROM ONLINE MENU!!!!! First and last experience with them. Ordering it for the first time....I ordered looking at the website. The price menu is not the same as what they follow. I had ordered pasta dinner which on the website showed $6.60 and actually was charged $11.55 because that's what they ad on the printed menu. I mean how can you be $5 off on the price. I also ordered a small 10" stuffed pizza....save your time and go to Giordano's.....this pizza was chewy...under cooked and blend in taste. The price in the online menu showed $14.30 I mean really? For a freaken small pizza ..still I gave benefit of doubt.....I was charged $15 even...no show of tax or anything....they sent over the scribbled bill with total amount of $30.05 charged and no description of how much each costs. when I called back to confirm and show them the discrepancy they tried proving me wrong that they informed me of prices..,I was like what the hell...if I knew the discrepancy than I wouldn't be ripped of....ITS NOT THE ONLY MATTER OF ME LOSING MY $8-$10 BUT THEY MUST BE SCAMMING OTHERS LIKE THIS TOO.
