During the party, guests kept asking me where I found her as they were amazed at the beauty and detail of her face painting art. Some guests were also interested in hiring her for their future events. Her balloon twisting skills were also amazing. She created a pair of angel wings that some of the girls wore thruout the party. We've been to a few different Music Together classes along the Peninsula, and this is our favorite!…read more All locations will have the same general structure, materials, and songbook -- and I've only seen great instructors across all the locations we've been to. This Menlo Park location is our favorite because it's nested in the beautiful Allied Arts Center, which means ample parking, calming walks around the gardens before/after class, and the possibility of a lovely garden lunch with your little at Cafe Wisteria afterwards. We especially enjoy Teacher Shay, who brings a playful energy to his interactions with children and their exploration of music. If you aren't sold on Music Together already, here's a hot tip: when our daughter is otherwise inconsolable, our Music Together CDs/apps are the *one* thing that averts a total meltdown. She so loves the routine of going to these classes, hearing songs she recognizes and anticipates, and singing together as a family that it interrupts whatever baby emotional wreck we were heading towards. When you've heard your child U-turn from "Nuclear Crisis" to "Happy Baby" within two bars of the welcome song, you will agree that this class is totally worth it.
