Truly the best food I have eaten in the city. The owner and the staff were amazing but the food is the real star. We tried 7 plates in total, plus a lovely gazpacho from the chef. For me the standout was the Veat tartare served on Veal bone marrow, but in truth I couldn't find fault with any of the dishes. This is a rare post for me these days and I am only posting as this restaurant was outstanding. Well worth the 10 minute walk from the Arena.

We had the seafood spaghetti to start along with the jumbo prawns and beef tenderloin which were both really good. Garda Town is not brilliant if your looking for fine dining, but the ambience was really nice as we were nestled outside in an alley way and the service was really good. Would definitely recommend for meal if your staying in the town, but again choose carefully and you'll be just fine.

I've been coming to Lake Garda and Sirmione for years and have eaten at many restaurants, but…read moreTrattoria La Fiasca was one of the most disappointing experiences. The outdoor atmosphere was nice, but my wife's spaghetti with lobster was terrible. The lobster was mushy and completely inedible. When I showed the waiter, he basically said, "That's how it is," with no concern and no attempt to fix the problem. Poor food, worse customer service, and zero consideration for the customer. Plenty of great restaurants in Sirmione--avoid this one and spend your money elsewhere.

The food, the service, the atmosphere... 5 stars across the board. Our first dinner was outside on a very nice June evening; dinner number two was inside on a rainy night. It would be difficult to say one was better than the other! Outside on the sidewalk is people watching heaven, inside is very quiet and romantic! Magda was our waitress both evenings, what a gem! Fantastic service, from helping us find our way through the menu, to serving and cleaning off the table, waters always filled... she worked very hard and was so very pleasant. We mainly had the fish dishes, the best being the potato crusted gilthead (sea bream). The wine list is very good, bubbles from Franciacorta, Italy both evenings. Superb place. Highly recommend Vasco Da Gama if you're ever in the area!
