Unfortunately, the…read morepizzaria we had in mind was closed for the season already but next door an establishment appraised them self as a pizzaria too and, it looked like locals go there, so why not. The "maître-d" was nice and welcoming, the assigned waiter not that much. We ordered salad, some pasta and yes, pizza. The mentioned waiter prepared the salad sauce at the table with balsamico and olive oil, but it somehow disappeared in the giant bowl. The pasta was meh, compared to what we enjoyed of the last few days and the pizza ... Well, first it took forever (probably I'm the idiot ordering one during dinner service?) and it was just too think and not that good after all. The sad ambience didn't help to make this a good experience unfortunately. But! It was reasonably priced, almost cheap and ok to eat after all.

Reservation is highly recommended, I believe it is solely because of its location. It is right in a popular tourist area. It has a clean and typical Italian restaurant feel. Service was good and the food was okay but not exceptional. It must be hard to be an outstanding restaurant in Italy because many restaurants are really good; it doesn't matter if it is an upscale or a local small restaurant. The pizza was a thin crust style pizza. It was crispy and delicious. We also ordered two Linguine with seafood, tomato sauce and chili pepper and were disappointed with the lack of spicy flavors. The waiter warned us that the pasta was spicy when we placed the orders. I guess we have a high tolerance of hot spicy food. This pasta did't deliver a hint of hot spicy flavors. I felt like the sauce was under seasoned. We also ordered a plate of fried vegetable & calamari. The coating was too thick for our liking. But the ingredients were fresh, I just personally perfect a thin coating. It was overall a pleasant dinning experience.

The outdoor atmosphere was nice, but my wife's spaghetti with lobster was terrible. The lobster was mushy and completely inedible. I do wish we walked a bit further into the actual town inside of Sirmione to get our dinner but still happy about this place. I ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops as the starter that was awesome. Very tasty and a great start to the meal. My main was the dish they are known for, apparently, it is 7+ years old, never changed the recipe. I really enjoyed the flavor and taste of this. My wife kept trying to steal bites, she didn't really care for her super fishy pasta. The fish overwhelmed any other traces of flavor. The price was a little high but you really are paying for the classiness and view of the place. I would not return here but enjoyed my meal.
