She starts by asking me how short i would like it and is very good at making my old grey and balding hair back to its clean cut and attractive best! This review is for my visit on Weds August 12, 2020 Came in for a haircut for both my son and myself and it gave me peace of mind to see the man giving haircuts adhering to Covid protocols and wearing a face mask. However, a lady appears from the back and I couldn't help but notice that she was not wearing a mask. I figured it was just a matter of time before she put her mask on. She proceeded to call my name to take a seat for my haircut. At no point did she put on a mask and what was worse is she kept clearing her throat and had a persistent dry cough. I asked her politely if she had forgotten to put on a mask. She informed me that she had problems breathing and that I could wait for the next person. Okay, no problem. As I returned to my seat next to my son, the lady who had been coughing in my face decided that it was a problem now (where there had been no problem) for me to be in the waiting area so she said that we had to wait outside. Okay, so I obliged. Except that patrons walking into the haircut shop after I had been told to wait outside in the 100 degree plus weather no doubt because of Covid precautions (surely, not because she had taken offense to my request to put on a mask) were given the green light to wait inside in the air conditioned store. The icing on the cake was when it came time for both me and my kid's haircut. I described to the gentlemen how to cut my hair and he just didn't get it. I wanted a fade with no hairline. He had a conversation with the older lady in their native language. The guy said he understood and proceeded with the haircut. At the end of my haircut, I asked him to go down a clipper size and an argument ensued NOT with the gentlemen but the older lady at the next station. I decided to let this go because I still needed my 9 year old to get his haircut. And as you might've guessed my son's haircut ended pretty much the same with an argument. I told my stylist that my son's hair was uneven and he took off my son's cape and the older lady said that the haircut was done. Never have I experienced anything like this. At one point the older lady was yelling at me in front of customers and I asked her why she was yelling at me and if this was her paying customers are treated? When it came time to pay the gentlemen charged me more for my son's haircut than what I was told when I called $19 for each of us. The prices are clearly listed on the display that is hanging. I pointed to it and he ignored me. I paid since I was ready to leave after such a horrible, horrible haircut experience. - Not following COVID 19 regulations and using masks - Rude customer service - Charged me $19 each for an adult and child haircut even though prices displayed indicate the haircuts are lower. read more

I walked by this place again, as I live in the neighborhood and shop in this shopping center. As I did, I noticed the woman who had previously cut my hair there was yelling at an exiting customer. So sad, as this person CLEARLY doesn't belong in business. I would AVOID this place. read more

BAD. Terrible customer service. BALD SPOTS AND I LOOK LIKE A ZEBRA. Stripes of hair and baldness. SHE RUSHED If I could give zero stars I would but I have to give it a one. So I went in the store and Nancy was just trying to get people in and out. She rushed through everyone. She finished a customer within 3 minutes. When I sat down she did my hair super fast and rushed. She was moving so fast and hard she left me with bald spots on my head. I went home and everyone in the house said it was bad. I asked for a refund and she will not give me one. She was blaming me instead of taking ownership of her mistake. Terrible. Let me start by providing a definition of Autism for Papillion Salon "Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, sensory sensitivities, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. " This has taken me a while to write as I was in shock and saddened about the service my 7 year old autistic son received. The women who had cut my sons hair was extremely unprofessional. Rough and aggressive when handling my son throughout the service. I had advised her that he has sensory-sensitivities and to be patient , and try and verbalize how she would like him to be positioned. Instead of aggressively jerking his head. Please treat everyone with care . My son is not new to getting his hair cut . Other establishments are able to provide care and sensitivity towards those with disabilities. Unfortunately, I moved away and am new to this area . Now in search of a compassionate barber for my son. We are in 2023 ! Facilities providing service to the public should be trained and/or should strive to become educated on servicing those with disabilities. This behavior is unacceptable. Papilion salon take this as a learning opportunity. If you need tools to learn there are many tools online. They don't listen regardless of what you say. Don't go. They will literally listen to you, nod their head, and cut your hair.

Run, do not walk as far away from this shop as possible. The gentleman cutting my son's hair could not follow instructions, and was unable to communicate to us that he did not understand what we were requesting. I do not think a simple fade is too much to ask of a stylist, but clearly he is not an expert. A female stylist/owner assaulted my husband who told him to stop . Went in for a fade, showed them where the old fade line was and told them I wanted a #1 on the bottom and then fade up. He immediately starts with a #2 and takes it all the way up the side of my head. He took off most of the thicker hair I had on the sides up top that should have been scissor cut. It was clearly much thicker than the rest of the faded area. Even the #1 was taken good inch and a half past the old fade line I showed him. Definitely won't be back. read more

Nancy owns the shop and cut my hair today. She uses the electric but also wields the scissors very expertly. Am way satisfied with the job. She was one of the first in this little retail development; went through the tuff times during the downturn and survived. Nancy's charming and welcoming and would appreciate your business. Horrible costumer service, Nancy was a disrespectful person towards many people, she isn't even supposed to be open during this time of a pandemic, she was rushing my haircut, pressing down which was painful. When telling her what I wanted for a haircut she started to lecture me that I have to be precise and tell her the numbers when I'm a 70 year old man just trying to get a haircut. Her mediocre haircutting skills does not make up for her attitude. The owner - older lady with short hair here is extremely rude. That's beside the horrible haircuts my two sons received. I asked for number 1 with fade and trim top not too short. She seemed angry and was very rough with them while using the clippers and did exact opposite of what I asked. Both of my kids left in tears. I will never ever be back and would never recommend this place. Too bad negative stars aren't allowed. Also, I didn't realize salons were not allowed to reopen indoor services as I have previously cut their hair and haven't followed the news much. So this place is defying state orders and not at all following Covid precautions. There were no mask required, no cleaning of chairs, drapes, scissors, combs and no masks by she or the guy that was working there cutting hair. read more

Can I give less star? Where do I start...I am appalled and disgusted by the woman haircutter, Nancy. In today's pandemic environment, this place should be grateful that patrons even use their service, (not even sure if this place is legally allowed to operate today). Instead, her attitude, rudeness, rush job, condescending attitude and just plain zero customer service skill was totally unacceptable. I would not feel any remorse if this place closes down. I am all for supporting small local businesses but not if small business is ran by someone with this attitude. I'd rather give my $25 to a Supercut/Great Clips haircutter with a great attitude and offers superior customer service (too bad they're closed due to the pandemic).
