It isn't even about the 50% of the money that was owed to me, it is about how a big business feels just fine ripping off the normal guy that is just trying to recycle and make the earth a better place. Shred it used to be AWESOME. They were recently bought out and I have had nothing but issues with…read morethem. I wanted to simply schedule a bulk shredding on top of our bi-weekly schedule. You can no longer call a local office, so I was routed to somewhere across the country where I talked to one person that hung up on me 3 times, one person who said I needed to talk to someone else and transferred me to a voicemail (after repeatedly asking not to be transferred to a voicemail as I had now spent over an HOUR trying to get this schedule), and one guy whom I had asked to talk to a manager, so he put me on hold, came back 5 minutes later telling me he was still waiting, and when I asked how long it would be he said "I don't know, they've been in meetings all day." When I asked if his intention was to leave me on an indefinite hold he responded with "well you were the one who asked to speak to a manager." I finally had someone reach out and schedule the shredding, and guess what....they DIDN'T SHOW UP. So on our next scheduled bi-weekly shred (which happened to be the next day), the bi-weekly maintenance guy was kind enough to dispose of it box by box on his truck. He was the best part of the entire experience. Overall their service has been POOR with the new company. I'm sure if I could work with my local branch things would be 1000% better, but since the new company insists on sending us out of state for ANY request, I'm sure the service will continue to be poor.

But I asked him if he knew of anywhere in town that would refill my cartridges for me and he told me that there is no one in town who does refills. I then found out that there IS, in fact, and place in town that offers cartridge refills! AND they offer new cartridges at a fraction of the price! (Cartridge World, by 56th and Highway 2) Bottom line, I went into Office Depot needing help with refilling cartridges and they outright lied to me, trying to get me to buy brand new cartridges from them at an unreasonable markup. Funny enough, I checked Staples right after I left Office Depot and they told me the exact same thing.
