The store manager, Anna, and her team assisted in designing the perfect invitations and shared thoughtful and insightful advice to ensure the best information for my guests. Even after experiencing a small problem in a resulting product, this team came to the rescue instead of issuing blame. They acknowledged our grievances, conducted stellar research and found solutions in a timely and efficient manner. This experience was a delightful and refreshing example of great customer service. This store has SO many unique and amazing gifts. Their stationary, cards, and gift wrapping inventory is truly impressive. If you're looking to get a card for someone and want to find one that no one else will have gotten, this is the place for it. Be prepared to spend about 3-4X the amount you would normally spend for the same items elsewhere here though. The store itself is a bit crammed, but it is organized very well. Took one star off for the blatant price inflation of certain "non unique" items, and also for the fact they are still selling 2018 planners for only 50% off. read more

I've always found the staff at Paper Source to be very friendly and helpful. They know their stock and give good recommendations. I really love the back wall with the matching stationery. As I hand write a lot of letters, it's nice to have this resource nearby. My pen pals always comment on how lovely the paper and matching envelopes are. read more

Apparently, Paper Source pays their Dedham employees to just stand around.... if you need service, go somewhere else altogether, or go to the Brookline store. This was the second time I was in the Dedham location, and while my last visit also proved to be quite unwelcoming, today's visit was just ridiculous. I went in since I needed 17 copies of a book that they have for bridal shower favors. Yes, 17 of them. This is a large chunk of change, and I didn't want to go to Brookline since I was right there and doing all of the shopping at Legacy Place anyhow. All three salesgirls/women were at the register, and two of them were listening as one (a blond with hair pulled back) was going into LENGTHY DETAIL about her trip to IKEA with a kid and some other girl. Apparently, the kid had a total meltdown at IKEA, and I was kind of feeling as though I were going to have a meltdown by the time I left. If you need a card, go to the Paper Store across the parking lot for great customer service. If you need paper or anything else, just go anywhere else but here! read more

They have some really cute stuff, but I tend to only shop here for clearance, unless I need something small like a card. They have great holiday decorations, but so, so overpriced. If you need decor items, shop places like Target, Walmart, Christmas Tree, etc. before you come here. So pricey! read more

Not the best paper source around. There is one woman there who is ALWAYS helpful and knows her stuff, and this review is NOT geared toward her (blonde, taller girl)... But I would go into Boston more than I go here. The first thing that stands out in my mind is a couple of weeks ago when I went in to get supplies for Christmas cards, and I asked if they kept envelope liners in the store. I KNOW they have these online, so it wasn't too far fetched of a question. A lady brought me over to the templates to make the liners. I politely said, "I'm actually looking for the precut ones to make my life a little easier", to which she responded bluntly, "We don't have those. We encourage our customers to actually be creative". That is way out of line. I am sewing 80 cards with little pennants, stamping each one, and hand calligraphing each one. If I want precut liners that I still have to glue in myself, that is not being creative, that's called not killing myself to prevent never wanting to be creative again. I also really wanted to see the difference between the opacity levels of the different white stamps they have. I've purchased a white stamp pad from there before and it was too opaque to be of any use. So I was taken over to the stamp station where instead of showing me the differences between brands of stamps, I spent 5 minutes watching her do stamp embossing with a heat gun. Not what I asked even though I tried a couple of times to clarify what I needed. Would also prefer the store to be better stocked. The last two times I went in, I had to get different colors than what I went in for because of lack of stock. read more

I went to this store today to have some note cards reprinted. I have done this before but not at this store. I know exactly what I wanted. There were no decisions to be made nor was there any consultation needed. All that was needed was to write up the order and submit it to the vendor. It took over 30 minutes to write up the order. There were three different associates involved in the process and lots of consternation on the part of the associates. When I left the store, I had no real confidence that the order would be completed correctly. So it was no surprise when about an hour after I left the store that they called me to say the one of the many pieces of paper that they used for this order was not complete and my order could not be processed. I know that I will not be visiting this store again. read more

This is a dangerous place for my wallet! With 4 weddings and showers coming up this year, I had to take a peek in here for cards. Mission accomplished! I walked out with 9 cards, and a Mother's Day gift for my mom. They have a wide variety of greeting cards, stationary, and other random gifts that you won't see at many places. I didn't realize it but they were actually in the process of closing when I walked in. They didn't rush me, or try to kick me out. Once i realized they were closing I apologized for keeping them there and the woman said it was no problem at all and asked if I found everything I needed because she didn't want me to rush out just because they were closing. I thought this was very nice and accommodating. I know a bunch of the other reviews on here said they got horrible service, so either they went on a bad day or I really lucked out because the women that were there were nothing but helpful and patient. read more

This staff knows their stuff! I was trying to create a homemade recipe file as a gift and they seemed genuinely interested in the project, made some creative suggestions, took he time to explain the difference between inks and pigments, and got me off on the right foot. I'll be back. read more

Went in here in an effort to order personalized stationary. Blond woman not helpful at all and a bit rude. Didn't seem interested in showing me samples or answering questions about thickness of paper, color, or fonts. Just dismissively stated that I wouldn't get to see a proof before I paid because "that's the way it's done". Would not visit this shop again. I was trying to make a purchase for a business client, so they've lost a pretty big customer. I love paper/stationary stores so am very disappointed in my experience here. read more

Paper Source used to be a creative bastion... this location? 1% Nation likes to craft is what is should be called.... Plus the ladies are strange as they just stand behind the counter talking to each other about their very important lives while some strange young couple runs around the store looking at you looking at them. Strangely unwelcoming. I havent shopped Paper Source in a while, and after today, think I will keep my purchases local. read more

My experience started out great, the invitations for my wedding came in, looked great. and I put them aside until the time came to send them out to my guests. I placed the order well in advance of when I need them which is obvious based on the order date and date of my wedding printed on the cards. As I was stuffing the cards into the envelopes I realize I only got half of the cards that I ordered. They were thicker than i thought they were. I called as soon as I figured it out. In the end they insisted they gave me 100% of the order. In addtion, because so much time has gone by since I placed the order I was told the best I would get is 50% off the order for me to replace the cards I was missing. I had no choice but to buy more cards, I need the cards. Needless to say I am furious. Buyer beware. Count everything. I will never go back again. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with the Paper Source in Legacy place. I went here to look at invitations for my wedding and the staff was extremely helpful in not only showing me products, but helping me think through different thoughts and ideas based on what I was looking for. The customer service there is amazing. In particular, Heather, has gone way above and beyond in this department. I had to go back and forth to the store several times as I was trying different things and wanted to test things and each time she remembered me by name as soon as I would walk in the door and knew exactly where we left off. If you have the time to think about what you really want, and are OK with spending a little more, I would definitely recommend coming in here and checking out the invitations! read more

We used The Paper Source in Dedham for our wedding invitations and they turned out beautifully! I did not realize how detailed a process it was to choose a wedding invitation, however the wonderful people at Paper Source were able to walk me through all the options in a clear and polite manner. I received multiple complements on my invitations and they came out beautifully. I will say though that invitations can be pricey here however the quality is a step above most other online retailers. I needed wedding invitations and after looking online at all of the major wedding invitation sites I decided I needed to see and feel the invitations in person in order to make a decision. Paper Source was on my commute home from work so I figured I'd give it a try. After 2 trips and a couple hours with Lindsey, invitations are purchased and I couldn't be happier. They have a HUGE selection of invites and they are all incredibly customizable. I would highly recommend them and if I need any future invites I will only be going here. read more

This staff is awesome! They are the most helpful and generous! They will take their time and make sure you walk away happy. I was making my own wedding invitations and they showed me everything...from envelope lining to heat embossing! I am also planning a private party with a bunch of my girlfriends. Not really sure where all the animosity is coming from (read: "Margot's" creepily specific account of an event that clearly did not happen as described), as I've shopped at this Paper Source many times and have always had a great experience. I've gotten everything from one birthday card (from an actually interesting and unique collection) to gag gifts for friends, all the way up to my wedding invitations ($2000 +) and the staff could not have been better regardless of how much I was spending. I saw all the negative reviews when searching for the store's phone number, and felt compelled to write something, since people who have fine experiences in stores (i.e. 97% of well-adjusted humans) tend to continue enjoying their lives as opposed to trolling through yelp to right the injustices of all upon them. Sorry for the rant, but bottom line, the staff is nice, helpful, and not overbearing. I suggest that anyone looking for a cool gift or non-cheeseball card shop here. read more

I wanted some help and input for invitations I was about to order online. No one in the story wanted to help. One person was on the phone, another was working on craft projects at the front. It seems that in this store they are more focused on their own personal projects than actually helping people. In addition, the attitude was off-putting - more in tune with selling Birkin bags on Rodeo Drive than a paper store. They have cute things but overall so not worth it. read more

Fantastic night out with women's group learning to emboss paper and use a variety of tools and paper techniques to create several cards and envelopes. Katie, in the Legacy Place (Dedham MA) store, was patient and helpful in teaching us the techniques and encouraging us to bring our own artistic styles to the samples she had created. I recently had a very high end client that needed invitations created in a short amount of time. I went into the paper source in hopes of finding some help. Nicole Young helped me from deciding on stock, printing options and fulfillment. She was beyond helpful and made sure everything was perfect from the time I stepped into the store. Since the project was pretty involved, she also called her regional manager for support to make sure everything was delivered flawlessly. I appreciated her honestly and willingness to ask for help when she needed it. I have not hesitated for a second to return and have contacted the store to help with future projects!
