With a shortage in mental health support and services for children and teenagers in North Idaho, my goal is to be of help and service to the the youth and families of the Lake Pend Oreille region. Kids face difficult and complex challenges - many of which adults cannot relate to or understand. I provide safe, neutral ground to listen to your concerns, work on pragmatic solutions, and support you throughout the journey. For over 30 years, I have been helping children and their families starting as a teacher. I soon realized my gift was serving kids and their families in a counseling role. I have experience in hospital, residential, school, juvenile justice, and other settings. As Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho and Montana, I am ready to help you, your child, or your family live your best life. I also offer couples counselling, grief counselling and support around PTSD and co-morbidity diagnoses such as the depression and anxiety that may come as a result of a severe acute or chronic illness. It's a dream come true to open a practice in Sandpoint, Idaho and become part of this beautiful community.

History

Established in 2023.

I retired in 2020 after serving children and families in Alaska with The Anchorage School District and Juvenile Justice. I moved to Idaho to be able to travel to different places and adventure more easily. My therapy dog in training, Zen, and I love Sandpoint and the greater Lake Pend Oreille region. We are very excited to be a part of helping this community. For over 30 years, I have been helping children and their families starting as a school teacher. I soon realized my gift was serving kids and their families in a counseling role. I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling and this beautiful journey began. I have experience in hospital, residential, school, juvenile justice, and other settings. I am certified both in Idaho and Montana as Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or LCPC, and ready to help you or your family live your best life and heal from recent or long-term pain and suffering.
