History

Established in 2023.

We are originally tourist to wildwood coming from New York City. We lived and have traveled down to the wildwood for years. By 2011, we were about to by a property in Wildwood and from there Wildwood has become our second home. We started in our restaurant industry out of our love to connect food with people. We want to make Papelon to be a center where we bring our community together. Community is fundamental to our success.

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us. My name is Dayana, and I’m the owner and manager of Papelón Latin Kitchen. My background is in the theater community, where I worked in marketing and production. That experience taught me the power of community, storytelling, and how culture brings people together. That’s exactly what I’ve set out to create with Papelón, a space where people connect, share, and feel at home, with food as the bridge. I’m always growing, learning, and finding new ways to make this space even more meaningful for everyone who walks through our doors.
