Terrible experience and terribly unprofessional…read more We had a hairline crack in our sink and after discovering, our landlord wanted to replace the sink. Enter Andrew. He visited our home (which we'd lived in by 8 years at the point) with our landlord and looked at the sink, we heard him talking with the landlord and stating that "it could have happened by something large dropping in the sink or something as small as a penny" (we don't know when or how it occurred). Our landlord asked him when he could repair and he responded, "just wait and kick them out. HAHAHA" Things that aren't humorous include making a joke about kicking out tenants from what they consider their home. Fast forward to him visiting to fix the sink; we had decided with the landlord that we'd pay out of pocket for the sink; Andrew arrived at 9 AM and left by 11:30 AM. He charged us $1,000 (see picture) and didn't breakdown the cost of service. Considering the sink bowl didn't cost more than $250 (I looked it up), he charged us $750 for 2.5 hrs of work. He really charged us $300/hr. for his work. To top it off, he left the bathroom a mess and used our PERSONAL towels for collecting the water and ceramic from the sink. Unethical and unprofessional. The team that completed the work were 100% top tier. They explained everything clearly, and completed the repairs on time, with very little actual down time to the sewer (approximately 3-4 hours on one day only). Our site work involved concrete cutting to access the sewer. The repair work to the driveway concrete was very thorough, including compaction of the backfilled dirt along with rebar reinforcing of the repaired concrete. Can't say enough good things about my experience with this local sewer company. Highly recommended!

Raw sewage dumped! Pipes left disconnected! Double the original signed estimate! Tracy and Manny…read more(husband and wife owners) and their lack of professionalism, accountability and planning was shocking. After multiple bids on a complicated sewer lateral replacement, I made the very poor decision to hire Tracy and Manny from Sewer Connection. They swindled me with 3 new revised contracts, each asking for more money, due to "unforeseen circumstances" (which was a clause in the fine print of the contract). Yes, admittedly some challenges were truly unforeseen, but others were clearly a lack of planning and familiarity with the local sewer code. For example, Tracy stopped work and demanded additional funds because they encountered rock on a new sewer lateral path that they chose to follow. Or not knowing that the steepness of a hillside would require dams in the trench with no gravel backfill to prevent runoff by code, but only after the trenches were dug and the gravel piles were dumped. Or promising in the contract to install 4 cleanouts on the sewer lateral and only providing 2. Ooops! A stunning lack of professionalism. After I dove into the sewer code with AI research tools, I was quickly working directly with the county sewer inspector and informing Manny of the code required, not the other way around. If you hire Sewer Connection, they will provide a low estimate, then they will stop work halfway, hold you over a barrel with disconnected sewer lines, until you agree to approve upcharges. See the photos attached of Sewer Connection's handywork. Early in the process, one of their workers onsite warned me that this exact scenario would happen. He was right, and now I'm stuck with open trenches and a non-functioning bathroom. I would gladly have paid more to any other company than Sewer Connection. They even boost their own Yelp reviews by fake writing 5 star reviews of themselves (nice post Manny S!). Don't make the mistake that I did. Avoid Sewer Connection at all costs, or you'll make the same mistake that I did.

Unfortunately, the subsequent experience was sub-par. The technician was supposed to arrive at 2:30pm, but called around that time to tell me he'd be late and he wasn't sure what time he could get to my house. When I texted close to 5:30pm to see if he could provide an ETA, he was actually less than five minutes away (but hadn't provided an update in between). He was able to snake our drain clear pretty quickly, but when he left telling me everything was all set, he did not remove the clamps we'd put on the dishwasher vent when we tried to plunge the sink (this is really basic plumbing, the likes of remembering to turn off a running engine), which resulted in our kitchen flooding when we ran the dishwasher overnight. When we waded through our kitchen the next morning, we found the clamps still in place, as well as only hand-tight pipes, which we had to tighten with our own tools. I wanted to be thrilled with this experience, but we would not hire Econo Rooter again.
