Cheap rip off tactics, avoid…read more I've been dining here for almost 20 years and have always brought my foreign guests to experience this place. Unfortunately, on my last visit, I was really disappointed to see how much things have changed. They charged us $120 per person, and the receipt listed every appetizer as a double portion even though the portions were tiny. Looking at the receipt, you'd think we ordered for 8 people when there were only 4 of us. It's sad to see even prestigious restaurants using tactics like this. I'm ok with the bill, but not ok with being treated like I'm stupid. We won't be going back.

They have fresh fish and some mezes (apetizers). Especially during Spring and Summer time you can sit and eat outside with a pleasent weather and nice breeze. You can reach there by ferries from the European shores, just check the ferry schedule or Sehir Hatlari (Municipal ferry lines).

You'll literally be sitting out at the beach, watching the fishermen, enjoying the sun and eating some really delicious food - there's everything you need: Tea, great olives, different cheese, fresh fruit, different veggies, different breadspreads - I loved the fig jam and of course: there's kaymak. Also you'll get different kinds of menemen (scrambled eggs with tomatoes, sometimes paprika and suçuk) and this melted cheese too. It's really amazing. We always stayed literally for hours and had a wonderful time! Later in the day it becomes a fish restaurant (as the name kinda gives away).

I wouldn't fill up on soup- it's good but it's better to save room for the mezes! they have yummy corn bread, and their çoban (shepherd's) salad is good- but again: save room. They will start bringing you mezes immediately. My favourite is the one with eggplant but I can never remember what fish is used. Also I love the black sea salmon with onion and soya sauce! At first, one spoonful doesnt seem like enough, but they will come around at least 5 times giving you helpings of different fish based mezes. Usually after 5 helpings they ask if you'd like more, or if it's enough (it's usually enough- especially if you ate some of the corn bread). After dinner, you can have their yummy desert which is a volcano brownie, icecream and helva. We usually share the desert between two people with tea. The service here is ALWAYS phenomenal, and I have never left unhappy. The only problem is that Tuzla is a little far to drive to! Thank goodness, or else I would probably go twice a week!
