Huge, beautiful trees! The staff is super helpful and friendly. They will tie it to your vehicle and know all about the care and can help with what you are looking for (a tree for the smell, one that is easier on allergies, etc). Granted, they may be a tad pricey, but compared to Lowe's or Home Depot- these are cared for, not sitting it in the sun without water. They are cut right, you have a huge selection and they will carry it and attach it to your vehicle. Totally worth it. They also have Christmas wreaths, tiny kids trees and then a bucket of free stumps for whatever craft project you want to tackle. I have been here 3 years in a row and will continue to be a customer. My first year here, it was about a week from Christmas (I know), and no one- NO ONE had any trees that didn't scream fire hazard. This place still had a selection (small, since end of the season), but I found a fresh, watered, beautiful tree.

We had to cut the tree trunk down to a 7ft. When we asked for her to accommodate a simple difference of a free refund from an 8 to 7 ft she laughed and compared a tree to a dress. Instead of listening to the customer she attacked us and made fun of us for not being an arborist! Also, I called numerous times and emails. No response. Take your $ elsewhere where the owners are not discriminatory. What a great way to ruin someone's Christmas!!!

Welp, I'm officially adult, having purchased my very own Christmas tree for the first time ever…read more That's not counting my Charlie Brown table top tree that I proudly displayed in my first ever apartment for a few years. Not really knowing where to start, I remembered always seeing this little tree "farm" in that triangle of green space on Austin Hwy near the Broadway intersection. A sucker for supporting a good cause and keeping it local, I decided to make it my first stop on the hunt. It was the weekend before Thanksgiving, so there were plenty of lush pines to choose from (Firs to be specific...) starting at 3 and 4 feet and working their way up to 8-9 feet. It didn't take us long to find the perfect one, and within 10 minutes, the volunteer guys running the show had it trimmed, chopped and loaded in our truck for us. We also scored a deal on last year's stand (I think they were selling them half-price). All in all, we made it out of there in less than 20 minutes and spent exactly $100 for a beautiful fresh scented Fir and a brand new stand. It warrants mentioning that, yes, you will find a cheaper tree at Home Depot (by about half the price). But what you won't find is three gentlemen ready and willing to help, with smiles on their faces, and a Christmas Tree purchase that gives you warm fuzzies beyond the usual holiday spirit. I was pretty disappointed in this pumpkin patch. Visited today and was expecting it to be a lot better and a lot cheaper. I probably shouldn't have such high hopes. The parking is such a pain since it's right on the access road, I can only imagine how many accidents there might be since this location is new to everyone. We waited in the line for 20 minutes to enter (got there at 12PM on Sunday when it opened). It was pretty busy to say the least and it was the smallest pumpkin patch area ever. For as much as they have to offer, it would've been a lot better if they had expanded. It was pretty busy and hard to move around without bumping people or cutting in front of people who were waiting in the lines. The admission was $5 per person, kiddos are free under 16 years (which is a huge bonus). But once you get inside, be prepared to spend waaaay more than just $5. Each activity costs so much tickets (1 ticket = $1). The cow train was 3 tickets, hayride was 3 tickets, petting zoo was 3 tickets, the moonbounce was 3 tickets, riding the pony was 5 tickets, bouncing on this insane jumping machine was 5 tickets. Overall, A LOT of money can just be blown out the window from this place. It was nice, but it's unlikely I would ever go back. The people working at the entrance and at the food concessions were pretty grumpy too, not happy as I expected them to be. The area I really enjoyed was the actual pumpkin patch area, it was great to take photos and A LOT of pumpkins to choose from. The moonbounces were freaking crazy, my son got on the bottom of a bunch of kids and were trampling him, thankfully I was there to get him out but it would've been good to have people monitoring the moonbounces or at least make the parents supervise their children. I definitely wouldn't go back to this pumpkin patch and I would probably not recommend it to people. It might be because I visited South Texas Maize and had such a great time. It's $10 per person there (kids 2 and under are free) but everything is included in the price. It's worth the extra drive and the extra cost on the admission to just go elsewhere!

I don't think it's worth an $8 entry fee since once you're inside you also have to pay for everything besides looking so if you're going with kids it quickly gets expensive. However, the organizers need to make a profit as well as all other partners providing a service so it's understandable yet I wouldn't consider it a budget friendly activity unless the kids aren't interested in doing anything besides looking at the animals and posing with the pumpkins.
