The first time I came here, I rated it one star because the pizza was embarrassingly bad. I came…read moreback a second time over two years later and ordered a single slice. While the pizza was overpriced at $4.50 per slice, the pizza itself was good quality. If I paid 20 bucks for a full pizza of this quality, I would be satisfied. This is certainly an improvement over my prior review however I feel like $4.50 for one single slice is still overpriced considering you can get a quality slice of pizza in New York City for two dollars.

Food is always good. You can get Pizza, Wings, Subs, Calzones ("Calzatos") and salads…read more Wings are boneless or traditional. I usually get traditional. They used to have Spicy Thai chili but for some reason switched to just "Sweet chili" which isn't as good to be honest but that's just my opinion. Typical pizzas are thin crust but you can get thicker crust if desired. The pizzas aren't overly greasy like some competitors. Reasonable prices and good service. It should be more crowded but they're pretty busy with takeout crowds. Not as big a dining area but they do have an outdoor area to eat.

It's an outdoor set up with a tiny pizza kitchen set up. For the winter they set up a heated shelter area with a huge projection TV. The pizza isn't horrible and they do use Grande cheese. They do a more Neapolitan style pizza with small specialty ovens that cook around 840 degrees they told me.I had the Italiano. The pepperoni they chose to use seems to work with the smaller 14" pies they are serving. I didn't taste garlic or the sausage. The sauce was good. If you are looking for an airy dough with a crisp you won't find that here. This is more like the pizzas you see people cutting with scissors. Probably needs fresh basil to round out the flavor for this style. Great people, probably an ok pizza choice for most people.

From first stepping inside the barn, and placing our order, we were greeted and taken care of by Marley. We ordered the margherita pie with their regular thin crust. But keep in mind, thin crust and pan pizza are available for order. They also do personal pizza sizes. Our pizza was $17 (pre-tax). The wait time was about 20 minutes, as we came in right around lunch time. When our pizza was ready, we had a choice of where to enjoy it. They have both the inside of the pizza barn, and plenty of outside seating. As the day was so beautiful today, we picked their outdoor patio. We dug into our pizza: plenty of red sauce, perfectly sliced mozzarella rounds, and fresh basil. We have been on the look out for a pizza that rivals the pizzas in New Jersey, and this is it!!! I came back inside, and told Marley that the pizza was just the best we've had in Knoxville and we were sure to be back! And she was delighted by the compliment and even remembered my name!! If you haven't been here, I would definitely check them out both for the pizza and the ice cream, plus the serene country side setting.

I'll tell you what the true measure of a man's spirit is...one that cuts to his very essence. It is his ability to eat a pickle pizza. Yes, a pickle pizza. And yes, "its a big DILL". Get it? You probably don't, and that's ok. Because you wouldn't order this pizza at Patriot Wood Fired Pizza in Jefferson City, TN...but I did....and I ate half of it...because its a LOT of pickles...seriously. My only complaint was that I knew not to ask for the "kids cut" in order to have the pizza cut into sixths. Indeed, when it arrived it was cut it into quarters. A 10" pizza in quarters! That's nearly 20 square inches of pizza per slice! It was hard...I had to eat it with a fork and knife, I admit it...it was too much more me. I ate half. I'm home now, looking in the mirror and wondering whether I really am the man who stares back at me. A pickle pizza is a grim, unfeeling mirror that shows the true nature of a man's soul, the very measure of his character. I admit, I could only handle half of a 10" pickle pizza...and it comes in a 14" size! What lost or fabled generation of heroes could have tackled a 14" pickle pizza I cannot say.
