It was about 10 minutes past when they said it was going to show up I brought it into the room opened it up it looked all right but it wasn't really worth the money to me. It was also kind of only warm when it was delivered and they're not that far down the road. I think it may have gone out or sat there for a while I'm not really too sure. But I probably wouldn't reorder from this one honestly I may drive down and just pick one up in person if I really wanted it but I kind of think twice. read more

For the most part I avoid national pizza chains. Pizza, in my opinion, is best from the independent, mom and pop type operations and I will say I dream of the pizza that I knew growing up in the northeast, but I have found good pizza throughout this country. But today i had a lunch meeting and swung by Papa John's to kind of give everyone a little snack. As far as the national chains, Papa John's isn't bad. Nothing great, but the price is right and it is what my customer requested. I got two pizzas with two toppings each ($10 each), one with hamburger and bacon, the other with sausage and extra cheese. Out of the two, I preferred sausage and extra cheese. Papa John's is what it is and there is nothing wrong with it, but I would still seek out your local independent pizza shop. read more

None of the discounts were applied, I did not receive the upgrade to XL pizza as requested, and my pizza was all bunched up in the corner when I opened the box. I didn't have a problem with my meal besides the tiny slices of cheese pizza. My mom and I got a pizza half pepperoni and half cheese because she doesn't eat meat. The service from this location is absolutely unacceptable. An hour into our order, I called and the man who answered the phone stated it was out with our driver. It's been more than half an hour after for a total of more than an hour and a half and still there is no pizza. I find it absolutely disgusting that there is an option to pay $2.50 to deliver your pizza first above everyone else's for the night. Are we paying for basic service? Is this what Papa John's is telling us? This location is also extremely stingy with the toppings to the point where you can barely see it. I've gone in to this location. Half of the workers look like they are either high or inebriated. Why are you hiring people who do not take pride in their work and their job? Why do you think that it's okay to have customers wait for more than an hour and a half unless they pay an extra $2.50 on top of the delivery fee and the tip? This is the worst customer service I have ever had for a pizza place. When we called in after an hour and a half, the man who answered the phone stated he could not hear us. When my friend stated, "Yes you can hear us" he could then miraculously hear us. He then proceeded to put us on hold for more than 5 minutes. The manager had the temerity to argue that everyone else is waiting. We asked for an estimated time frame and he said he did not know. We asked if he had no way of tracking his drivers and he stated again that no he did not. After we asked him if the driver had a cell phone, he miraculously was able to track the driver approximately 10-15 minutes away from us. I was very disappointed with my experience. I placed an order at 9:30 at night on a weekday and was told only AFTER I placed my order, that it would be after midnight before my pizza was delivered. I called to see if there was a way for me to change the order for pickup since the store is only a mile from my house, they answered and asked me to hold. Which I did... for the next 30 minutes. They never picked back up. Terrible service. I eventually got a call an hour later asking if I still wanted my order. I said yes. Around midnight I checked my order and it said delivered. I called the store and asked what happened. They said they went to the address and it was incorrect, so they brought the order home. They refunded the money. And I went to bed hungry. Absolutely garbage experience. Papa Johns used to be my favorite pizza place. I'm pretty sure after tonight they are a never order again pizza place. RIP old friend. I've been into this store twice and both times were very bad. Having never been into this store, I decided to give them a second chance after the first time. It was a mistake. The first time I went, I was picking up an online order. There was one person in line ahead of me, one customer at the register, and three employees behind the counter at the register. Plus someone who looked like a manager standing to the side chatting with someone. The customer who was already at the register was on her cell phone, so it's entirely possible that contributed to the wait, though I'm not convinced of that. It took well over 5 minutes for me to get my order. One person behind the counter was working with the customer at the counter but the other two people seemed to be just standing there. Once the person on her cell phone left, the person in front of me went ahead and ordered. That didn't take long and I was next. I walked to the register and politely said "Hi how are you" and all three people just looked at me. Okay then. So I said I was there to pick up an order and gave them my name. Still no one spoke to me. They brought my order up to the register and showed it to me, still without speaking. You could say it was awkward. I paid for my order and left the store. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, one of the delivery drivers almost t-boned me while another cut me off and almost clipped the front of my car. Again, despite the terrible first experience, I decided to give them another try hoping that the first experience had been a one-off. It wasn't. I was picking up another online order this time and after the first trip, parked in the back of the parking lot where I could keep my car away from the delivery drivers who were all parked in the spots directly in front of the front door (that's a bad look, guys). I went into the store and there was no line, but there was someone already at the counter. That transaction was very quick and the young lady behind the counter was much friendlier than the three people on my previous trip. Well, I think she was. She seemed to be. I couldn't actually hear what she was saying because all of the delivery drivers were standing in a large group next to the door shouting at each other and laughing. She may have been swearing at me and telling me what an idiot I am. If she was, she was very polite about it. She got my order from the warming racks and brought it over, but didn't show it to me, so I looked inside myself. None of the extra sauces I had ordered were in the boxes (double dipping in group sauces is bad form, folks). I asked if she could get them for me, and of course she couldn't hear me over the drivers, so I screamed at her that I had ordered extra sauce. She screamed an apology back at me and retrieved the sauces. I paid for my order and turned to walk out the door. I had three pizzas and a couple of desserts for a large group of people, so my hands were full. I was going to have to back out the door, but as I turned to the door, one of the delivery drivers was leaving. Perhaps I give people too much credit, but I had anticipated that the driver (an employee of the store from which I was leaving!) would hold the door for me. But he didn't. He shouted over his shoulder to one of his buddies "what the f**k man, you motherf**ker". Classy. He then let the door slam on me. Literally. I was almost through the door when he let it close and it hit my pizzas, knocking me back a couple of steps. Thankfully, they were all still intact (and luckily for the young man or he would have experienced a wrath like he didn't know existed). TL;DR: this is the worst pizza experience I've ever had and I will not be returning. read more

On 9-3-19 I order a pizza and wings online from this location. Estimated delivery time said 30 minutes. 2 hours later I still didn't have my pizza. I called to cancel the order because it was getting really late. The young lady who answered the phone said "you ordered it two hours ago and your just now cancelling it". Yes because I ordered it 2 hours ago and it still isn't here. She said that she would call the delivery driver to stop him from delivering it and cancel my order. Shortly after we hung up the delivery driver actually arrived and I told him the order was cancelled. Very upset with the customer service at this location. Finally when they got here the extra condiments that I paid for (ranch and marinara sauce) that I spent $3 extra dollars on was never delivered and food was ice cold. After calling them back several times and me telling them not to put me on hold because I want to speak to the manager, manager replaced the whole order and again took them an hour and a half. I don't ever leave yelp reviews but I feel that it should be noted that my experience with papa johns has not been good. The first time I ordered from them was on a Sunday afternoon and the pizza came in a decent amount of time although it was still 15 minutes later than the time estimated. I was pleasantly surprised that it was still fresh and quite delicious so I thought yeah I would buy again. The second time I ordered from them was this past Friday night and the estimated delivery was 90 minutes. I understand that it gets busy on Fridays for a lot of places but I was shocked to see the wait time. The way i saw it, this is their way of covering themselves just in case it takes that long so I didn't think much of it at the time. The group of people I was with decided two large pizzas wouldn't be enough for the whole group so they decided to order dominos pizza about thirty minutes after I placed my order with papa johns. About an hour into waiting for the papa johns pizza I was like wow they must be busy and just kept waiting. Just to note dominos had already delivered by this point so now I'm thinking where is the pizza that I ordered. Well it did estimate 90 minutes so I decided to just stay patient. Finally around the 100 minute mark I decided to call and check the status of my order. The guy that answered said that it was out for delivery so I decided that I would give it about 20 more minutes before calling to cancel and call it a loss. Finally about 15 minutes later or so the delivery guy shows up and says he apologizes for the long wait, they got slammed. I have worked in retail, customer service and the restaurant industries pretty much my entire adult life. I know it gets busy and there's no way of knowing if this guy is the only delivery person available and he is getting screwed because he's the only one actually putting in the work. I said it's no problem and thank you very much. The pizza was delivered cold, I live 10 minutes from this location. I looked at the receipt and see that my pizza was ready within an hour and 6 minutes of me placing the order and was out for delivery 10 minutes later. So I assume at this point you have one delivery guy with a ton of pizzas in his car trying to get them out in the order they were placed. Me personally I just don't see why that should ever be the case and the fact is I do live very close to this location and as I mentioned before dominos had already come and gone even though it was ordered thirty minutes after I placed an order from this papa johns location. I don't know if they are low on people or what but I know this operation could be done in a more timely fashioned. I did call the next day to get a refund and I will say that the lady I spoke with was very understanding and said I should get a refund back to my card within 5 days. She claimed they got slammed and seemed sincere in her apology. However I just don't think that is a valid excuse for delivering 2 pizzas with basic toppings absolutely below room temperature. There's no reason that there should only be one or even two delivery guys trying to get out all the pizzas on a Friday night when you know you are about to get slammed. Not to mention my pizza took an hour and 6 minutes to make, I mean really? I know it's supposed to be "better" ingredients but your not picking the tomatoes fresh from the vine as my order comes in. All I can say is that I try to take yelp reviews with a grain of salt but these reviews are spot on when it comes to the service and quality. I would avoid ordering from this papa johns location at all costs. I waited two hours overall waiting on a large pepperoni and large cheese pizza. At the end of the day I know I can get a quality product in a short amount of time from dominos so I will no longer be doing business with papa johns. To be quite frank I better get my refund within the time it was estimated to go back to my card because if not this will not be over and I will get my money back come hell or high water. My advice is that management should be on top of their crew and hire quality people to do these jobs and if there are people not doing their part then you need to step up and make it happen. You see a pizza order that has been sitting there for over 20 minutes then you need to either get someone to make it or make it yourself, don't just let the order sit there and rot. Maybe papa johns needs to get a pizza tracker and join the 21st century because most high volume chains have some way of tracking your food in this process. If it wasn't for the receipt telling on you I would have been none the wiser of my order sitting for an hour and six minutes before someone even got to it and the fact that delivery took another hour is just unnecessary. Customer service is dead!! I placed a carry out order and when I showed up the girl at the front counter was on the phone. Once she hung up she said and I quote "who are you?" Not hello, not how can I help you, nothing. Not another word was spoken to me the entire transaction. No thank you, no can I get you anything, not is your order correct... nothing. I ordered a pizza and the email said it would take 40 minutes, at most approximately, to be delivered. After about 55 minutes, I called the store to figure out where the pizza was and to make sure it was still coming. The lady who picked up seemed to have an attitude with the fact that I would even ask about the wait time. She said that delivery times were running an hour and 20 minutes until the pizza was delivered. I usually get pizza from Dominos so I'm not super familiar with how Papa John's works. But if they knew that delivery times were running that far behind, a heads up would have been nice. My pizza finally arrived an hour and 30 minutes after I ordered it. I had two pieces with no meat and only one piece with any amount of meat that even began to look like the commercial. What little meat that was on the pizza was curled up and burned. I think I am really done with this location.& this company. On a previous occasion I had some sort of incident and I had contacted the nationwide customer service number, after being on hold for over 10 minutes... I got some highly uncaring, amoeba on the line... I think I would have had better luck talking to a rock. Onto todays tragedy.... I place an order on the website... I enter my credit card information three times, each time getting a message telling me that my credit card information was invalid... So thinking that I could simply call my store and give them my credit card information, I picked up my phone and called. The Papa Johns representative that I spoke with pulled up my information with my telephone number, and assured me that my MasterCard had gone through... Despite the fact that I do not own a MasterCard... Anyway so I asked her if I could add jalapenos to my pizza because I had neglected to add them when I place the order on the website... I was told that online orders cannot be changed... Fine, no worries. Flash forward an hour... I called just to make sure my order was on his way, because it normally does not take a full hour... And guess what the same Papa Johns representative told me they were unable to deliver my order because my payment has not gone through... She did apologize... & I know these poor workers are highly underpaid, underappreciated, and overworked... and are not likely to be candidates for Mensa.... She offered to go ahead and take my card and remake my order... I just told her not to worry about it.... So Chinese delivery it is, at least tonight. I must say that the Papa Johns representative WAS apologetic...and very polite on the phone... I suspect she is a high school student... Just doing the best she can... She told me they were just very busy and she forgot to call me back when my order was unable to be processed. Actually, her attitude on the phone made me want to just drive up there and give her a hug... Anyway, the girl that I spoke with at the store tonight was much more polite then the person I had previously spoken with a few months ago on the nationwide customer service number... Overall I've had fair to poor customer service experience with Papa Johns... When dealing with people at the actual stores, or on the customer service line... The drivers are always awesome...
