Immediately walking in, we were greeted and asked if we were ready to order. It's been a very long time since we had Zaxby's so we were super hype reading the menu options. We talked about that location being the only one around in the area. Whoever the owner is, PLEASE do not close! Please open a New Orleans location since we were told that's where he's from. We were assisted by another young lady that gave us ice due to the drink machine being out. She did it with no hesitation. Da'Vonica gave us our food in no time and it was HOT and FRESH!! Thank you Stacey for your service you are truly Top Notch! Looking over this menu, there are several enticing items that I would love to have, but I can't eat it all. Bae and mommy got the cheeseburger, D got lemon pepper wings, Joube got a fish sandwich and I got the fish plate! This stuff here good. This is the best fish I done had in Louisiana! Hands down! I will call that accurate…read more Although I must say the remodel/redecoration of this location makes it a bit more inviting than it used to be. The counter service is fast and friendly, the menu is vast, with a LOT of variety - sandwiches, po-boys, comfort food, seafood, salads, pizza - something for everyone. And the food is good. Not the best you've ever had, but it's good. We came here this time specifically for the fried mushrooms. They are really good. Everything else was okay. The fried fish was good - nicely breaded, mild catfish (no muddy taste), and good crispy fries. The shrimp remoulade salad is kind of puzzling, though. Small, unseasoned boiled shrimp on a pile of lettuce. After being boiled with no seasoning, the shrimp are then heavily coated with red pepper (or maybe Cajun seasoning). And the remoulade sauce is in small condiment cups on the side - barely enough to dress the salad. But most of the food here is pretty good (the burgers are massive), and most plates come with enough for some extra to take home. It's not a place we come to often, but it is always on our list of possibilities.

For $14.99, you get sweet chili shrimp, avocado, cabbage, rice, mango salsa, cucumber, and lime. Everything tastes fresh, and the combination of flavors works really well together. The shrimp have just the right amount of sweetness and heat, while the mango salsa and lime keep the bowl light and refreshing for summer. I ordered the ranch on the side because I wanted to control how much dressing I used. The bowl already has plenty of flavor on its own. What keeps me coming back is that it is filling without leaving me feeling sluggish for the rest of the workday. It is a nice alternative when you want something lighter than a burger but still satisfying enough to carry you through the afternoon. The atmosphere is family-friendly, the service has always been quick during lunch, and the restaurant is consistently clean. Several coworkers also recommended the Southwest Chicken Bowl, so that is on my list to try next. If you are looking for a fresh lunch option that does not feel overly heavy, I would definitely recommend giving this bowl a try.
