We ordered two Shrimp Po Boys with fries and Coleslaw, three pieces of catfish, hushpuppies, and crab cakes. Within a short period of time the very nice lady at the counter brought out our complete order with all the traditional condiments. Shortly after a man who I assume was the manager came out and gave us a complementary portion of their red beans & rice to try! As we dug in, we were not disappointed! The Po Boy's were fantastic, shrimp cooked perfectly dressed nice on a soft roll! The season fries were delicious, hot and the seasoning was perfect! Honestly we both felt these were the best seasoned fries we have ever had at any restaurant! The catfish was delicious, well seasoned super crisp! The crab cakes had a nice crunch with a perfectly cooked delicious filling. The coleslaw was really good with just a hint of sweetness and OMG the red beans & rice were fantastic! Last but definitely not least the hushpuppies were little bits of fried corn heaven. We did have to take one piece of the fish, one crab cake, a small amount of hushpuppies and some of my wife's fries home and it will definitely not go to waste! While this was our first visit it definitely won't be the last! If your home is in the area or your just passing through Ardmore, we certainly recommend stopping in. It's a great change from the traditional fast food / take out food.
