A tale of two dishes: it was the best of meals it was the worst of meals. We did the Xmas Eve dinner on the rooftop. The oysters with the wasabi vinaigrette were some of the most amazing fresh oysters I've ever had. I enjoyed them so much I had to order a second go around as well.
I just wanted to steer away from meats for Xmas Eve (It's an Italian thing) so I decided to try the Cornish crab spaghetti.
I was advised that the sauce was a fish sauce base, which is fine but I've never smelled and tasted something so rancid in my life. I thought I'd be a good sport and give it a try and the taste was completely off with only 40% of the dish even being lukewarm while the majority of the dish was totally ice cold. "How long ago did they make this mess" I wondered
The waiter was nice off to offer a different dish but truth be told I had such an awful taste and just couldn't eat anything else.
I spent the rest of Xmas Eve in the bathroom and could even feel it coming out of my sinuses. And could still taste it the next day no matter what I tried to delicately eat.
Seriously, the worst dish I've ever had in my life.
