Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. I had a fantastic surprise when I saw Granny Fi's shortbread! I had seen her at multiple events in Washington and was delighted to find her at the market--my kids were delighted to get some shortbread and millionaire bars outside of the summer events! Such a great selection of items, many allergy friendly choices and, so so so so so many dogs. It was glorious.

I love this time of the year. My only negative about my shortcake I suppose would be I wish they had more strawberries in the sauce and maybe even topped it with some fresh cut strawberries. That would take it to the next level. I will definitely return for another go around as they offer a variety of fresh produce. Oh and I also snagged a bottle of local Bloody Mary mix. This place consists of everything locally made/grown honey, jams, fruits, vegetables, they even have frozen ice cream and meats on the go. Very cute farm vibe! We walked to the back of the store where they offer some pies, shortcakes, ice creams, sundaes, milkshakes, and hot/ice coffees. We were nicely greeted by the employees and we both ordered the strawberry milkshake. They directed us to go the back of the store where the seating area is located and someone will come out and announce our names. We waited about 5 to10 minutes and then they finally called our names. Took my first bite, my mind was blownnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!! Most milkshakes I've had in the past were always generic and when it melts it turns into watery milk. But with Aspinwall's milkshake, the consistency is soooooo creamy, soft, and smooth! Even if it melts, it turns into a milky froth! Superrrr delicious!! The next few weeks of my vacation here I kept ordering a different variety of their fresh fruit milkshakes to see which one I liked the most. I tried peach, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry blended with chocolate, and strawberry blended with blueberry. So which fresh fruit milkshake do I most recommend? STRAWBERRY BLENDED BLUBERRY MILKSHAKE!!! Separated they are delicious on their own so that's why decided to blend both together and enjoy all at the same time :) I recommend ordering this combo!!!! Least favorite fresh fruit milkshakes was the peach, it wasn't fresh and seemed they used a preserved peach from a long ago harvest. There can be lines during peak times but the cashiers work steadily to get people checked out quickly. * There is a self checkout section with a person available to help with any problem. * Most of the cashiers speak English and Spanish and are friendly to everyone. As for the cashiers not being particularly chatty - I value getting in and out of the grocery store quickly. In fact, it irritates me when things are held up by cashiers carrying on conversations with customers when there is a line. The store has the warehouse look, like Costco, and is clean, fresh, and usually well stocked. Like many stores today they may be out of something due to shipping delays but I normally can find everything I need. I wanted to let people know what Woodburn Mega Foods shopping is like now.

Most of the employees I talked to spoke perfect English until I mentioned that I got injured in their store and would like to talk to HR they all of a sudden don't speak English anymore. The guy in charge says their HR will call me but after I had to call them back days later he proceeded to tell me it's just him and they don't have an HR. I will be hiring a lawyer and I am in excruciating pain after surgery and having to do all of this is just ridiculous. DONT GO HERE. I don't even know where to start I'm so angry, on April 8th I tripped and fell leading to me breaking my foot in 4 places due to their negligence. I am now going in for surgery on Monday morning to put titanium f*cking plates in my foot and if I don't do this surgery my quality of life will deteriorate I'm looking at a life long disability and I'm looking at a 6-12 month recovery time....my summer is gone all the trips I had planned are gone my independence is gone and my mental health is at an all time low. I have zero money to repair what these people have caused and I can't work. Hubby, on the other hand walked back to pay for our food, and to order his BLT, and go back when it's ready, and there are no utensils where there are tables, so he had to walk back there again. By the time, he's ready to sit down with me to eat, I'm halfway done! His BLt is still dripping grease, and he had to have strong teeth to bite the meat off his sandwich. They didn't look fresh, it was leathery & greasy! Part gray, part white. That's NOT bacon! I'm glad I didn't get that. My soup was just OK. I did enjoyed my Naan & Hummus. This used to be an IGA market but in recent years has switched to the Sheridan Select Market. It has most of your every day needs and on this day it was vanilla, sweetened condensed milk, flour and butter. Well, what can I say we didn't read the recipe until that morning. Small town grocery with tiny aisles and a little of everything in there on this day was fairly brisk business going on. We walked up from the house, brought our own shopping bag (they weren't really impressed by that) it made me giggle to myself as I bagged by own groceries and the clerk just looked quizzical at me as if she had never seen a reusable bag before. All in all a handy stop. I'm sure all be back again.
