There is a nice little tour given by one of the employees that take you through a little house that Buddy's good friend grew up in. Some of their music was written there. You're charged $10 to see two very small rooms that consisted of a bedroom set a table, a couple guitars and a motorcycle. There is an art gallery I was told, but it was closed so I'm not able to attest to what is in there. I will say the gift shop is pretty nice and I can see where a lot of people would find some unique things in there, especially if someone likes unique glasses. I was very tempted to get a pair of Buddy Holly glasses. The people were not overly friendly, which is unusual for Lubbock. At least now I can say I've finally been there.

I tried the Rotie Blanc and the Dolcetto and immediately joined the wine club. I may not live close enough to come every day, but I can't wait to enjoy my Llano wines whenever they ship them to me (and, of course, my Sweet Red from HEB!) Sounds like the ownership group is new and is updating a lot of stuff in really fun and innovative ways. I can't wait to return. Kudos to Dave, Grace, Mackenzie, Matt, and the rest of the crew in the tasting room. Way to make wine fun again. #Fan4Lyfe

You feel far out, but it's only 15 minutes from downtown Lubbock and an easy drive. Staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the large space indoors and outdoors. The cushion wicker furniture on the patio was comfortable. I did not see a snack menu nor was offered one even though another review mentioned a charcuterie board. It would have been nice to have a bowl of nuts or something simple while tasting. I only gave 4 stars because as a red wine drinker, they were not my favorite wines, but they weren't bad either. I would definitely visit again!

I came to find out about LHUCA through attending the First Friday art trail events in the area…read more Technically, the event is named after this place and has the gallery as its central focal point. The idea being to come stroll through the gallery, then work your way out onto the cordoned off streets and check out local art vendors and handmade goods before settling on beers and live music or performances somewhere along the way. This gallery always has a perfect assortment of displays running the gamut between peculiar to practical. I've seen some incredible handmade pottery mugs for sale, and some bizarre installations of another form of pottery: the toilet. It is, nevertheless, wonderful to have such a place in little ol' Lubbock. There are some beautiful large art pieces that hang on the walls making up the majority of the contents. Paintings, photography, mosaics. All sorts of media. Some for sale, albeit often at quite high prices, and many marked "NFS", or "Not For Sale". There's a very tiny little shop selling remnants of older installations, as well as "extras" made by some of the artists. It's quaint. A front desk has flyers and cards for the current and future exhibits. My favorite, they also have a pile of free stickers with the center name on them. Even in a time when retailers and restaurants struggle to keep staff, they always have plenty of attendants working the gallery to answer questions and shout at you if you dare touch the art. That's commendable and makes the experience all the more whole. It's been 7 years between the latest review and mine, but the place is still kickin' and worth visitin'!
