They sell specialty foods - I like specialty foods! They sell NYS products - I like to patronize those businesses. They sell cocktail making items - I LOVE cocktails. So I made the overdue visit. Compared to other specialty stores, this one is a bit smaller in inventory, but extremely well organized and varied. There was enough of everything in each area of merchandise for me to emit a few "Ooh's and Aah's. There's quite a few items I can see myself purchasing over the next holidays for friends and relatives with more challenging Christmas list to fill. I loved the vinyl section, the horror selection, and the large graphic novel area. They also had some unique art books on display that I had not seen anywhere else. At one point I was looking for a specific title and the employee was able to help me find it. When checking out I learned they had been here for 13 years and the first shop is located in Manchester, Vermont. I was given a 10% off coupon and told about their online shop. My only complaint is that the romance section was surprisingly small; I feel like BookTok has really helped that genre take off so seeing just two shelves of romance was disappointing. But the sci-fi/fantasy section is great, and with an entire level dedicated to children's books I can see it being a hit for families too. They also have discounted books labeled with the "Great Price" sticker which was nice to stumble upon; everyone loves a good deal!

A lot of the stores that were there when I was a kid are gone. I haven't been there in a long time until today and they do have a good mix of traditional and non-traditional stores and businesses. They have a few eateries I would like to try but haven't yet.. I have read that they're going to be putting in a apartment building where Bon-Ton used to be so I'm hoping that will put more even more life back into it. The only thing that annoyed me today but also made me happy is that I thought an eatery that I had gone to and liked had closed all because the mall website is not updated. The website offers a list of all the stores with more details and a map location. However doesn't have all the stores and the details are sparse or non-existent. It is really unfair to the tenants and the shoppers. The website is really bad and it doesn't take that much effort to keep a website up to date. The mall was clean and it was bright. I did not have to use the restroom so I can't give any reviews on the bathroom the best bathroom was always in The Bon-Ton that is not open anymore. Just an FYI as until what makes the bathroom great it had doors with walls and ceilings and Floors for the thing called privacy. I do wish everyone had bathrooms like that. There's a new place in the food court (Salty Dogs) and a second looks about to open up. Dick's, Healthy Living, JC Penney and Homework seem to be doing good business. And--important--the mall is clean and well maintained. There are even live plants in the public spaces. Still, the glory days of the mall (and malls in general) seem to be over. Bon Ton, the movie theater and Sears are gone for good. But Wilton Mall seems to be holding on. Maybe it's not a bad idea to turn the former Bon Ton area into an apartment complex, a controversial proposal. We could be like underground Montreal, living our lives out in the harsh winter without ever venturing outside. I come here to get my steps in when the weather keeps me from walking outside. Two circuits will do you nicely, and just one will give you some healthful exercise. Just watch out for the ubiquitous skinny guy on the posters who reminds us that mall going used to be a madcap social experience. Lord knows I love a sale, especially when you see that most items around you are approximately…read more$50-$200+ and you might be thinking: "There's no way I would spend that much money on clothes." However, there are a couple of factors to take into consideration. While it's true that you can find cheaper clothing elsewhere, how good is the material? How much time passes before it breaks, tears, becomes threadbare, or color drained? You can feel the quality of the clothes here, you can see it in the stitching. The patterns, and designs are distinctly unique, also; They have a sales rack in the back :-) That's where I headed and found the most gorgeous pair of pants. My friend also happened to find a gorgeous coat, and since the item was 75% off, I probably got my item cheaper than what it would have cost at a regular store. Service was exceptional. While we had the items we wanted to try on in our arms, an assistant quickly came over and got rooms ready for us. We didn't feel rushed or hurried. It truly was the best boutique we visited during our visit to Saratoga Springs. I highly recommend it.
