The last straw pic1

We bought a dozen and a half bagels with cream cheese to go and had them sliced to be served at a large family gathering. Unfortunately, we didn't realize until we got home that most were ruined because the slicer had barely shaved off the top of each bagel rendering them nearly useless. There's no way that the employee doing the slicing did not realize that. Such laziness and neglect is inexcusable. As seems to be the case with most Paneras, everything about this company - from food, to cleanliness, to service - has deteriorated over the past two years. This once excellent restaurant is excellent no more; in fact, it has fallen from an easy 5 stars to 2 in my book. As a result, we have gone from eating there twice a week to only once every blue moon, and that is only when there are few other options. What a shame.

Drive thru.

First time at Zanesville Panera. I didn't know Panera has drive thru in some locations. Would be great if Columbus has some. I bought sandwiches at drive thru for my Mom's first visit and as a treat a cinnamon roll for her. She loved it and loves the cinnamon roll. Sandwiches are good and my only complaint is the sauce on mine was just on the leaf outside edge of the sandwich. Still a little expensive for what you get and portion small but tastes great. I wish we could have sat down in dinning area or patio.

Consistently slow drive thru, overpriced, rarely good service, and always out of something. Seems like poor management

The food has went down in quality. Maybe need to scale back to the items they can do best and stick with that. Nice atmosphere though.

Cold coffee, no ham that was on the menu, and where are the self-order kiosks that the rest of the country seems to have?

It's so much better than fast food, but way more affordable than elevated uppity (read: overpriced!) restaurants. Basically I'm saying that Olive Garden is good food at affordable prices. The thing is, it used to be expensive dining but inflation has caused lesser restaurant prices to "catch up" with Olive Garden's prices. Which essentially means that OG now affordable and competitive in pricing. Anyway, all that aside, I want to say that Olive Garden has become a dependable, solid dining experience in our area. We can always depend on predictable quality food. And tonight was no exception. The soup was thick and deliciously flavored, the salad was just as we asked it to be, including a few specific requests. And as always, the staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Well done, Zanesville staff!! You have earned our repeated, regular patronage! Not only is the soup thick, hot and delicious, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that they have the most deliciously fragrant and tasty pepper I've ever tasted!

Yesterday, while my wife and I were out running errands, we started looking for a place to grab…read morelunch. I love trying new restaurants instead of the same old chain spots, and we happened to come across Café Zupas. Their sign said "Soup, Salad & Sandwich Kitchen," and since those are three of my favorite things, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was bright, clean, and very welcoming. The menu boards had beautiful photos of the food, which definitely caught our attention. My only small complaint is that the menu doesn't include descriptions of what's on each sandwich or salad. Thankfully, the young lady behind the counter was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions. She even shared her two favorite menu items and explained them in detail. She recommended the Brisket Grilled Cheese with smoked brisket, provolone and Muenster cheese, sliced tomato, BBQ sauce, all served on ciabatta bread, along with the Chicken Chipotle Salad loaded with fresh mixed greens, roasted chicken, red onions, tomatoes, fire-roasted corn, black beans, tri-colored peppers, cheddar cheese, avocado, tortilla strips, chipotle ranch, and a honey cilantro glaze. Both sounded too good to pass up, so I ordered the "Try Two" combo, which includes a full sandwich and your choice of a half soup or half salad. Let me tell you... these are NOT normal half portions! My meal was enormous. As an added bonus, every meal came with a warm roll and a complimentary chocolate-dipped strawberry. I also grabbed a lemonade to wash everything down. The presentation was fantastic, and as a former chef, it takes a lot to impress me. But wow... I was genuinely surprised. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, with layers of flavor in every bite. The brisket grilled cheese was outstanding, and the Chicken Chipotle Salad was packed with fresh ingredients and had just the right amount of kick. The warm roll and chocolate-covered strawberry were such thoughtful finishing touches that made the experience feel even more special. My wife ordered the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich with the Tomato Bisque, and she loved every bite. Before we left, the manager mentioned that everything is made from scratch in their open-concept kitchen, which made perfect sense after tasting the food. It's not often we discover a restaurant that checks every box--friendly staff, fresh made-from-scratch food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere--but Café Zupas absolutely did. We may have just found our new favorite lunch spot, and I can honestly say I'll be back again and again. Highly recommended!

Chose grilled cheese ( which was like no grilled cheese I've ever had ) turned out to be superb, and the lobster bisque which had tons of big chunks of lobster in the bottom. Yum Yum Yum!!! Back to the grilled cheese.... You gotta try it. I got mine grilled with a ciabatta bun which added a little bit of smoking us to it. We'll be back again.

There's plenty of parking nearby, and while the area is a little run-down, it's in a good aging-post-industrial-town kind of way with lots of old brick and Second-Empire style architecture. The inside isn't fancy but it's clean and offers good people-watching of the people passing into and out of the park. They had music and a couple of TVs, one showing the news and one on some kind of Spotify rotation. They have all-day breakfast sandwiches which you can get in a croissant and they really butter it up and it's delicious as hell. They also make a solid turkey club, and they don't skimp on the bacon, and they use real mayo. I'm talking about that heavy mayo. That's what holds the freshly shredded lettuce in there. The glue of the sammich. The guy running the place is very friendly and accommodating. I did not ask his name because I knew that I would likely never see him again and I couldn't risk getting attached but he insisted on cleaning the table before we sat down even though it looked totally clean, and he checked in and made sure we were happy with everything, which we were. Now I hunger for it once again.

Well worth the extra 5 mins off the highway for fantastic sandwiches and nice little town. Amazing…read morehow good something is when people take pride in what they make.
