This location needs to be managed better. I ordered online and it said my order would be ready and waiting for me at rapid pickup in ten minutes. I was on a work lunch break and that worked great for me, but the reality was the place was very busy (Veterans Day so no school/work for some) and my order was nowhere to be found. No employee around to ask and a line going out the door to talk to a cashier. 20 minutes later I overheard an employee say he needs help getting orders out and lo and behold my name is called out because my order was sitting in a bag behind the counter... I had to rush back to work and eat at my desk while working. Food was good at least. I remember having a similar experience the last time I went here, a couple of years ago and now I remember why I didn't go back for so long. read more

Panera used to be one of our favorite places. I's so sad, as the service at the Sherwood location has really gone downhill. I regularly get the Green Goddess Salad with Chicken, and it is consistently wrong. Normally, no dressing (this is very common), once without chicken, and sometimes without the pickled red onions (just regular red onions). I've put up with it, even though it hardly seems worth the money. But the last time we were there a few nights ago, my husband was in the restroom at the same time as one of the employees, and he said the employee did NOT wash his hands after using the restroom. I think we're finally done. It's so sad to me, as I really do love the restaurant. read more

PANERA BREAD - doesn't quite cut the cake. I have been a Panera client for many years. Starting in Denver, now here in Portland. As a rule they have tasty and fresh food. It's nice to get a good sized, fresh salad that's not the same old thing. There issue is with employee training and processes. It had been pretty common in Denver that an on-line or phone order would be filled with something missing or something wrong. I finally figured out it was better to go in person and watch as the order was filled. The company seems to highly value the on-line experience, since now you can order on-line IN the lobby of the store. In Portland I have YET to place an on-line order where I actually received everything as I ordered it. Something is always missing, out of stock or not available. I have one store across the street from the office and two on the way home. I have ordered from each. They have the capability of listing on-line when they are out of something - and sometimes they do, but usually not. It surprises me when they list so MANY things out of stock in the middle of the day. I get not wanting left-overs that you can't sell, but if you are a store with a menu, you ought to have the things on your menu. The idea of a 'quick pick-up' is an excellent corporate concept, but if it can't be handled by the associates in the stores, it just makes you look incompetent. The associates are well versed at "I'm Sorry". This has been a recurring issue over the last 2 years, and I have talked to many managers and have several free food coupons. Still, nothing changes. Sorry to say I have been apologized to once too many time and have taken Panera Bread off of my 'go-to' list. It just isn't worth the frustration. read more

I was kind of underwhelmed by panera bread to be honest. The food was good, and its a nice place, dont get me wrong. I just felt like the portions are too much on the small side for me. I didnt feel full after spending $25 on an entree and appetizer. So maybe its a better place to go if you're worried about portion control. The bread was good but not really revolutionary, it just tasted like normal fresh bread. Maybe im a tad disappointed becuase the commericals look so much different than the experience I had. I have been eating here quite often lately as I've discovered their Greek Goddess Salad.. amazing. I always get the half size and although it is small, it's never been THIS small. It doesn't even fill up half of the to-go box it came in. I'm extremely disappointed and would take it back but I'm already back at work. My cup of soup also isn't filled up all the way. I still give them 2 stars as the food is good but this meal was no where near worth the $10 I spent on it. read more

I have been a loyal Panera customer for quite a while. This establishment has only gone downhill since I first started eating here. The service is absolutely terrible, about par with the food. I like Panera as a fast casual dining establishment. Consistent product across various locations. Happened to pass this location on the way somewhere around lunch time. Quick service. This seems to be a newer location. There is a place when you come in to place an order your self, or you can go to the counter and order. There is a pickup location for those who order on line and to go. I like the pick two combination that they have available. Allows you to get a couple of different things in your meal. I do wish that in general, they would be a bit more generous in their soup portions, but that's across all locations and not a know on this location. read more

All the hype about their tomato soup and grilled cheese is just that hype. Soup was bland, there could not have been more than a tablespoon of cheese on the sandwich. Not sure how they did it but even the bacon was tasteless. And for a so-called bread company, Wonder bread is more appealing. It was chewy, tough and flat. The last 3 times I've gone here they've forgotten at least 1 item in my order. They are quick to fix the mistake, which I appreciate. I had a good experience! My family and I went out for Mother's Day and I had their delicious broccoli cheddar soup and tasty turkey bacon sandwich. We had a very nice and energetic gal taking our order, taking away the plates we were done with and checking in on us. I love Panera but they have no sense of time or anything. I visit there a lot and when I go through the drivethru, sometimes it takes 10 minutes to get my food.. no sorry no comp nothing... one time I ordered a breakfast sandwich which took 15 min in the drivethru only to have them forget the egg and cheese... they just gave me a bagel with a piece of bacon... today I paid and ordered a smoothie which took them 10 min to make after I paid and spent 30 min in the drive through line, I got a salad with legit a half of the salad I should have got... buyer beware at this Panera. read more

Each Panera I go to, I have to babysit my order, the employees seem so low speed, dont care and can't get my orders correct. The food is always good, but check your order to make sure you get what you ordered. I've been overcharged many times too. I still go back and I know now what to expect. There soups are so darn good! Went through the drive through and ordered hot coffee and bagels..I realized on my way out that the coffee was cold. Went back through the drive through and they offered to make me another one. Pulled up to the window and I saw them take my new coffee out of the microwave! The customer service was horrible here.. I don't think the young girl understood the point of a fresh coffee because she was not very understanding. Finally another lady came to the window and offered me an espresso which she assured me would be fresh and hot. That ended up being ok but I just didn't like how the original person handled things. She could have easily made things better as I am not a difficult person and don't like to send things back but coffee is very important to me in the morning, lol! This incident may deter me to go back in the future..I hope whoever owns this Establishment reads the reviews so they can improve. read more

I love going to Panera, they have great food and friendly people! However, my first encounter at the Sherwood location wasn't great because there was hair in my food. I gave it another shot for a second visit and my order was wrong. My final visit there , they brought my drink to the window, I greeted him and upon trying to hand the gentleman cash, he said "hold on" shut the window, ignored me and I could see him laughing it up with other workers. So I waited, again I could see my drink sitting there and they all just stood there laughing and socializing. So I left. The drink was the only thing I ordered. I'm glad they have fun at work but it was rude. I've had other rude encounters here just didn't include them, nevertheless my family and I won't be coming back to this location. read more

Ordered Soup and sandwiches for dinner. Love their french onion soup and the Broccoli Cheddar soup. Those were delicious and the grilled cheese tomato and bacon sandwich was passable, though very light on the bacon, I found a small piece in there. There was tons of tomato chunks, half of which had to be removed, and the most disappointing thing about it was the bread was burned. Not by the grilling of the sandwich, this was obviously burned on the bottom of the bread when it was baked. If you have bread in your name, you might want to toss bread that you have burned. The other sandwich we ordered, the italian, was ordered to have no ham, no mayo and no gardeniero stuff on it and extra sopressa. There was no ham Yay! However there was mayo and gardenniero and no extra sopressa (which we paid extra for). We had added in bagels so we could have more breakfast tomorrow and ordered the large tub of cream cheese. No large tub cream cheese just a few tiny ones. I do not recommend the asigo cheese bagel, it was not quite cooked, and the cheese has no flavor, just salty... Our receipt was all checked off like someone checked to make sure everything was there, but apparently there is no food quality control. Not sure if we will go back but you never know. If we do it will be for soup only as I am pretty sure they do not make that there, they just heat it up. read more

One Of my favorite places in Sherwood OR. Unfortunately I ordered online for pick up a few days ago, walked into the location and was handed my bag of food by an employee with no mask on. If the employees are not respected enough to be required to wear a mask, then Panera bread does not respect its customers. Wearing a mask shows respect for The vulnerable population and the elderly. If you don't care about your employees and you don't care about your customers, then my assumption is you don't care about what we're eating. I have eaten at this site on numerous occasions and have always been satisfied. I almost always order a "pick two" with a salad and soup. The soups have all been tasty and the salads fresh. There is good variety and the choices change over time. Unlike some other reviewers, I have not had to deal with incorrect orders. All in all I like the place. Pleasant surroundings and helpful staff. There are a few things that may account for my satisfaction, compared to other reviewers. I always order in person and with a staff person (not the kiosk). I know I am fighting against the tide, but I want someone to take my order and answer my questions. I also do not order food for pick up. Tip: the place doesn't seem busy in the morning, so it is a good place to meet friends for coffee during the week. read more

We go to Panera multiple times a week (usually different location) and out of the last 3 or 4 visits to this location they have screwed up our rapid pickup order twice. Both times the items are all checked off on the receipt as if they put them in the bag but they actually didn't, this is what makes it so annoying is that they have a process to prevent this but the obviously just pre-check off everything. To make matters worse this time when we called to let them know they said they can't refund part of the order so instead are going to give us an in store credit, which we explained isn't useful to us since we always do online orders, which her answer was we could call and order, so not only did they screw up the order, instead of offering a full refund (and an apology) they offer some pain in the ass way to get our money back if we remember to actually call and use it. read more
