Really disappointed with my experience at Panera Bread today. The store wasn't busy, and one of the employees at the front looked right at me without greeting me, offering help, or taking my order. After standing there for about five minutes, I finally realized they expected customers to order at the kiosk themselves. Then I waited nearly 20 minutes for one sandwich, avocado toast, and two iced coffees. While waiting, I noticed bread sitting inside a chip bin. I'm not sure if it was being used for customers, thrown away, or meant for employees, but it looked extremely unsanitary. When I finally got my order, everything was technically correct, but it looked nothing like what's advertised. The bagel sandwich had huge bread pieces with barely any meat on it. The avocado toast was soggy, and the bacon didn't taste fresh at all. The mocha iced coffee was actually pretty good, but the iced caramel coffee tasted like watered-down milk. If you can't send someone out to clean it up , then do it yourself. If I hadn't had a $giftcard and meeting my grandkids definitely would have looked elsewhere. Inside things weren't much better, table for five or six people, there was one and it was dirty. No one to clean it, so do it yourself or split the party/group up, no not happening. I've given up on this location. Multiple times the order has been wrong and the manager is not willing to take a phone call to fix the issue. Overpaid now multiple times. Make sure to check your orders before you leave the drive thru lane because they will not fix it afterwards. Latest issue - ordered 2 bread bowls and they had sold out so just given cups of soup instead but price was not corrected. I ordered the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich, which is supposed to come with zesty Peppadew peppers, feta, cucumbers, mixed greens, tomatoes, red onions, and hummus on tomato basil bread. What I got was a cold, soggy mess that tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for days. There were no Peppadew peppers or hummus--two of the main ingredients that give this sandwich any flavor. The feta was barely recognizable, more like a weird paste than actual cheese. The vegetables weren't fresh at all--the cucumbers were limp, the tomatoes mushy, and the lettuce wilted. I usually expect better quality from Panera, especially for the price. This was just disappointing and felt like an afterthought tossed together by someone who clearly didn't care. Are you so inept in the kitchen that you can't even be bothered to open up prepackaged food and heat it? If that's the case, I have just the place for you. You see, the area where you struggle, heating up prepared food is where Panera shines. Good restaurants actually take ingredients and cook them and turn them into dishes for you to enjoy. That's not the case at Panera. All they do is open up the bag heat it up and send it on its way. All Panera locations are objectively bad this one is no exception. Is an added bonus the decor fixtures are all dated and the restaurant is generally unclean. I can't think of one good reason why I would actually eat a meal at Panera it best. It serves a suitable location for a coffee and a business conversation. That's why I found myself there today. I went in to 26 and vandyke on August 18 at 6:00 and ordered the chicken strawberry salad which was not good! The chicken had a spice that was weird and the dressing was horrible. I tried to eat my meal inside the restaurant however the temperature was so cold. It was almost unbearable. I actually didn't feel good when I left. I paid $14 plus a two dollar tip for a salad only I also had to wait a very long time for my salad like about 20 minutes which I don't feel is acceptable. So I sat there freezing patiently and waiting for my food that when I got it was not good. Just keep that in mind before going to Panera. read more

Horrible food, horrible service and dirty. We walk in to a boy who just stared at us. No greeting, no "I can help you here", he just stared so we used the kiosk. Also, there was no one in line. We place our order and after waiting 8 minutes we get called to the pick up to be informed there is no chicken so one sandwich could not be made. Why did it take so long to be told this. After another 5 minute wait we get our luke warm soup and untoasted sandwiches . I have no idea what creation I was given but it was far from an avocado bacon sourdough sandwich. The managers are not friendly, but other staff are welcoming and helpful. Usually out of quite a bit of things often.

I completely understand that there is a shortage of workers everywhere. But if you don't have enough workers either don't open that day or don't try to support drive-through AND inside service. So far we have been waiting 25 minutes for a bag of chips and a half a sandwich. Not only is your dining room a horrific mess but also the four employees who are forced to support all the customers are very overworked. The morale in there is depressing. read more

I JUST WANT MY ORDER CORRECT. I have held off as long as I could and given this store chance after chance to straighten up their act, but after today's debacle, I just had to warn the public and add to their already terrible reviews. To give some history, I have ordered delivery from this store several times and even when they were actually taking my order to MAKE UP FOR AN ERROR on a previous order, they screwed something up. They have consistently forgotten items, and I mean half the order, or they make a sandwich with no meat on it. We have placed an order with THREE items, and they'll forget ONE major thing. Bread not toasted. That's not a BLT. Turkey was mixed with the avocado. Just a mushy mess with very little turkey or avocado. My husband ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. It was soggy with one piece of chicken and a little sauce thrown on the top. He hadn't eaten anything at Beaumont and he was there a week. Do not order for delivery from here. Horrible customer service. I have been trying for 20 minutes to place an order via phone and nobody answers the phone. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me. I even called manager. I was emailed at 8:30am that my simple and uncomplicated ordered of "just bagels" would be ready for pickup at 9:34am. At 9:40am I checked the rapid pickup area- not order for me. I waited for another few minutes my order is nowhere to be found. So I asked the staff nicely and i gave my order number to make it sure its in their system, when they checked my order, they cannot fulfill the order as they have to wait for their manager to arrived and thats another hour to GET THEIR BAGEL FROM ANOTHER CITY. The staff did did offer to give me something to make up for it, don't want it I just want my specific order. I know this is a chain, so I am not blaming one specific location, staff, or owners, but they are always out of half the menu items. On top of that, they regularly change recipes or ingredients on certain items without changing the name, so you expect one thing and get something else that is completely different and often lower quality. I imagine Panera does this because the newer version is cheaper, but it always ends up lowering the quality to the point that I can't even order it anymore. This already happened to the baja mac n cheese, and now they've done it with the chicken chipotle avacado sand which. Super disappointing. I would recommend making sure you know exactly what you're ordering first because chances are, the ingredients may have changed since the last time you ordered it. I used the drive through at 2:30pm. This is not meal time, they were not busy and had plenty of people working. I did not get all of my order. The strawberry salad I did get was awful. For almost $13 no chicken (they charge you for it even if you do not get chicken) and some of the fruit was very gooey and questionable. We called about the missing part of our order and the person said, "there is nothing we can do" and hung up on me. This is after 20 minutes of trying to get through the person just hung up. Under NO circumstance will we ever use Panera again. Awful food and service. Mistakes happen, but rudeness and unhelpful employees are worse than no employees. Bye Panera read more
