Panera is staple in my life. This location seems a little run down, but they don't disappoint. Easy to order and easy for pickup!

Panera definitely isn't what it used to be. We came in for dinner and ordered the picked two, for 3 people it came out to $50. The lettuce in the salads was extremely wilted and they even forgot dressing on my sisters strawberry poppyseed salad. we went to ask for more dressing and some of the workers asked us to send them money on cashapp. Overall probably will call it quits on Panera after two back to back bad experiences. read more

Currently during the pandemic, Panera is open for inside dinning. My take out order this morning was a cinnamon crunch bagel with Honey walnut cream cheese-delicious. I also ordered the bacon spinach soufflé for my hubby. The Valentine pastries just looked so delicious, I had to add some cookies to my order. I ordered two spinach bacon soufflés. Received a notice in the app my order was received, processed and ready for pickup. I also received an email stating the same thing. When I went to the store to pick up my order, it wasn't in the Rapid Pickup area. I had to ask an employee about my order. He came back and said they were out of the soufflés. The employee asked if I wanted something else or a refund. I chose the refund. While he was processing my refund, another employee walked up to the register on my side of the counter edging me away. She had clocked out and buying her food. Disrespectful! The app showing your order being received, processing, quality and ready is a lie. Either it just automatically goes through the process or the employees show the order complete to fool corporate headquarters. read more

My first pick was the broccoli cheddar soup which is such a hilarious way to eat a vegetable. My second pick was the Mediterranean Vegetable sandwich which boasted uniquely Mediterranean flavors like hummus and cucumber on a sweet cinnamon crusted bread. The food was very tasty, as usual. My question is this: What is a You Pick 2? I have always thought it was a half-order of any two entree items. When I said I wanted You Pick 2, I admit I made a mistake and ordered a bowl of soup (instead of a cup) and half of one of the new baguettes (which I did not realize was so large!). When the woman who took our order brought our food, I was surprised. I said, "I ordered a You Pick 2." She said, "That IS a You Pick 2." Actually what I received was a hybrid: a bowl of soup and half a baguette. My husband paid with his Apple Watch, so I walked away to find a table. If I had heard the $40 price tag, I would have realized something was wrong. (He got a bowl of soup and a drink; my drink was water.) Because I received exactly what I ordered, I let it go. But there are three take-aways--one for me and two for Panera. My takeaway is order what you mean to order. For Panera, instruct your employees to be helpful and cordial to customers when they order. In another restaurant the employee would have said, "M'ame, you ordered the You Pick 2, so did you want a bowl of soup or a cup of soup?" And when I said I'd try one of the new baguettes: "M'ame, I just want to make sure you know the half baguette is about 8-9" long." Finally, the attitude of the employee was the straw that broke the camel's back. Both during order taking and when bringing the food to our table, she was brusque, curt, sullen, and inhospitable. It made us regret tipping. I think we'll choose another nearby sandwich and soup restaurant next time. The ambience was fine. I say fine because this particular location has looked the same since the 90's, except for changing wall hangings from time to time. The carpet is looking worn and not the cleanest. I believe I have mentioned in a previous review or two, how much I love Panera. First, they have a co am menu. What that means is that they've cut out as many chemicals and preservatives as is humanly possible. No parabans, no msg, no lard, no maltodextrin, no -- you get my drift. Today I ordered a bowl of squash soup. This is a seasonal soup so grab it while you can. They have four choices of sides: a roll, a sprites roll, chips or an apple. No. 2 got my vote and it was tasty and healthy-ish. Yes, they still have pastries. Yummy, decadent calorie-laden, delicious pastries: bear claws, cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissants, cookies and more deliciousness, all made with healthy ingredients. So yes, while you are having a sugar overload, you can at least know that you had healthy sugars! read more

I called to check on a breakfast delivery order that was late. A young woman answered the phone and asked if it was a catering order. I said, well, it's a delivery, and she very rudely said, "I'll check on your DELIVERY," and left me on hold without coming back. Heyyyyy, look at me, I'm the Duke here (edit: okay, not anymore...). For the longest time, I couldn't figure out what seemed off about this Panera Bread. But I finally realized it the other night. The employees at this Panera Bread tend to avoid eye contact with you, especially if they know you're about to make a request. I don't mean when I'm talking to them during the ordering process. I mean when they know that I need something after, and they'll look anywhere but at me. Because they know that if our eyes meet, that they'll have to acknowledge me. Because of this, pretty much every employee (regardless of the time of day) will either: (a) be so busy that they're unwilling to even look at you for fear that you'll throw their process off, or (b) pretend to be busy until some other employee gets trapped into helping you instead. Also, everything is always empty. Like... Always. Always out of hot coffees. Always out of iced coffees. Always out of hot water. Always out of half & half. So then I have to try to harass one of them to help me, and I'm right back at square one where I'm trying to lock gazes with one of them, so that I can trap them into helping me. But none of this matters I guess, because I'll probably keep coming back. Because it's the closest Panera Bread to my domicile. And I tend to camp out frequently when I need to get work done, or chat it up with friends, and the unlimited coffee/tea is usually enough to have me suffer through the 10 minutes of being ignored before they get you things like fresh coffee, or half & half. read more

Panera has been on a steady decline for quite some time, but this one at Brixton Square is THE WORST!!! Going in to pick up some bread (which they tout as being the best around) and there are perhaps two or three loaves available; a few cookies, a couple of muffins, just -- no selection. Then between the time one says "I'll take that loaf of bread" and paying for the bread the people who are working in the kitchen come and grab the last, lonely loaf and take it "for the line kitchen." Gone. Poof. Not even kidding, here. Bottom line: No selection, and it's only 3:00 in the afternoon. Wonder what the supper crowd is going to eat... other than my loaf of bread, that is. My husband and I travel a great deal and have enjoyed Panera in many locations. This Panera is a mile from our home and it is, without a doubt, the very worst we have ever visited. We don't go very often anymore because we have become so tired of our orders being wrong, but sometimes we get so hungry for something from there that we go, hoping that this time will be different. I have been hungry for French Onion Soup, so my sweet husband went today. We almost always use the "Drive Thru", but my husband went inside to place his "To Go" order, thinking that service might be better and he might actually get what he ordered. He went at an "off time" when it wasn't as busy. There were four employees, the manager being one, standing around talking as my husband waited about 3 minutes before he was ever acknowledged. His sandwich was fine, but the two Large Green Teas he ordered were actually Medium. When I took my soup out at home, there wasn't any cheese or croutons!! I know it isn't a huge deal, but cheese and croutons make French Onion Soup!! Please, Panera...check your orders before you hand them to your customers read more

I've been stopping by this location once every couple weeks for a few months now and, yeah, this is one of the better ones. I can't say that any particular person or food item is outstanding but every visit so far has left me feeling A-OK. The people at this location are friendly enough and get your food out quickly. I've had a few instances where I've placed online orders and they've misread the order, but they've always been quick and happy to fix whatever mistake was made. Plus, there's plenty of seating for larger groups and the bathrooms seem to generally be clean. I feel like this Panera could use a bit of a modern refresh because the booths, tables, and overall look of the place feels a bit dated. If anyone from the Panera Bread Headquarters or Panera Bread Corporate Offices is reading this (and let's be real, of course they're reading this and every Yelp review of every franchise out there), get this location a refurnish set up. Use the money you get from your $7 grilled cheese sandwiches and put it towards your renovation budget or something, Idk. I'm afraid I'll get all rant-y about Panera Bread's overpriced nonsense foods if I keep going, so I'll just leave it at this: good pastries and good people - you could do worse compared to other locations. read more

This location is very inconsistent and I think we're done with Panera. The good things about Panera is that the ordering process is super easy and the order is generally ready at the stated time unless they're really busy. The salads and soup are items that they don't generally get wrong. Where things fall apart is their sandwiches. My husband ordered their spicy chicken sandwich and requested extra sauce on it because he likes it really saucy and really spicy. For some reason they put no sauce on it whatsoever. It wasn't what he wanted and he was done with Panera at that point. I ordered a sandwich for myself this week and it was inedible. I had not asked for extra sauce, but they put so much hummus and horseradish on it that by the time I got it home it had seeped out and soaked the outside of the bread and was just an awful mess. They didn't appear to be very busy and mine was the only order waiting at the to go station. It is a cozy place to stop if you aren't in a hurry. I love to bring a stack of books or my surface pro and study for hours. Depending on the time of day the line can be a bit long and I don't dare stop here on a break or right before work because I never know how long it will take. The food tastes fresh and good though I wouldn't call it gourmet. It is a healthy option with a nice atmosphere. My favorite thing to get for lunch is the Autumn Squash soup in the fall time. Panera was the closest on to my husbands workplace that sold soup so that was why I came here The location is in the corner by Rockwell and it's easy to access if you are going west but if you go east then it's difficult to come in but it's doable but remember noon time is lunch time and the amount of cars is outrageous... This location has drive thru and I think this makes this location more busier... Once we finally got a parking spot we came inside and there was another line.... We got a seat and they got our order wrong but it was fixed very quickly. We live in the south okc area and the panera bread there makes their napa chicken salad sandwich with grapes and this location didn't and my husband said the sandwich wasn't that great because of that. This Panera is in the same general parking lot, so it's my go-to. I've never had a problem with the service or the food, and leave quite pleased with my mildly healthy choices. Iced green tea 5/5: It doesn't seem to be exactly healthy or unhealthy. Simply delicious and in that neutral zone that you don't have to feel guilty for drinking it. Spinach power salad 5/5: Quite yummy! Plenty of fresh leafy spinach with some sort of onion vinaigrette dressing. Follow up on this restaurant from last year when I gave them 1 star because the place was empty, dirty and my order was wrong. This year we had an improved experience. Reception was warm and friendly. The place was full which gave us courage. They still got the order wrong but they read it back wrong so we were able to catch it. The food still took awhile but it was served warm with the Quality I expect from Panera. Our only disappointment was the stale pastry. We bought a bear claw and a scone. Haven't tried the scone but the bear claw was very old. If they can get the order right and provide a fresh pastry on a clean table, I'll go back a lot more. I love Panera. read more
