Panera Bread Customer Service Review If I could give ZERO stars, I absolutely would. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this Panera Bread location. My original order was made incorrectly, so I called and spoke with a manager who assured me that I could come back in and have the order remade. When I came in today, I spoke with the manager, Tegan Redd, who was SO rude and condescending. I was told that they do not do remakes and that I would have to get a refund instead. What was even more frustrating was that she refused to honor what the previous manager had already told me. I understand that mistakes happen, but the way a customer is treated when trying to resolve an issue makes all the difference. I left feeling completely dismissed, disrespected, and disappointed. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location or spending another dollar here. Please be aware of the customer service you may receive if something goes wrong with your order. read more

Panera Bread - I asked for a bacon eggs & cheese crescent. I received sausage instead. - Salad Near Me - Huber Heights, Ohio

Placed an order at 4.20 for a delivery at 6 p.m. I called at 6.15 and was told driver was running late. At 6.40 I called again and driver was still not there. Canceled order. Will not order from them again. Very bad customer service and unreliable delivery service. read more

staff is super nice, definitely call ahead the day before as i came in for a specific bagel (forgot which one) but i got a different one and it was really good. Always hot, sundays are definitely the quietest days lol, perfect for a cup of joe and reading. 10/10 would go here again read more

Service was super slow. I had a bowl of soup and it took over mins. Place was not clean. Water for tea wasn't hot.

On Friday, 1/23/26 at 6:00 PM, the evening before an expected large snowstorm. I purchased two brownies from the Panera Bread Cafe at 8104 Old Troy Pike, Huber Heights, OH, 45424. This was only possible after I had to complain, first to the manager on duty, who in turn called her General Manager by phone, who said that I could only purchase the brownies this one time, but I would not be permitted to buy them again in the future under the same circumstance. Think about this. I am a willing buyer, but this Panera was not a willing seller for a product that they had on hand. A little background. I came into this Panera, looking forward to purchasing two brownies which I have often done previously. Seeing that there were no brownies in the pastry display case, I asked if they had any more brownies in their store elsewhere. Although I was told there were none, I could plainly see brownies sitting in a bakery cart just off to the side and back in a tray on a large cart of other pastries. I pointed this out to the cashier on duty who told me that they are for tomorrow and couldn't be sold today. I asked why and was basically told that there was no other explanation. I then asked to speak to the manager on duty and was told that she was unavailable due to being in the restroom. I said I would wait until she was available for me to speak to her. When we finally met, I explained to her my effort to purchase two brownies clearly seen by me. She told me that they needed them for tomorrow. I asked her if they have had leftover brownies in the past at closing and was told there have been times of unsold brownies at closing. I explained that I am a willing buyer now, and that she was being an unwilling seller. She told me that this was the policy of the General Manager, who had the final word. I asked her to call the General Manager so that I could talk about my concerns. The manager on duty went away and returned, saying that she was told by her General Manager that I could buy the two brownies this one time, but not again in the future under the same circumstance. I paid for the brownies and departed this Panera. Lesson learned was that such a policy makes absolutely no business sense. Panera, like any other store, should be in the business of selling whatever product that they have on hand to willing and able buyers. In the current business climate, when stores are going out of business right and left, in what business case does it make sense to turn away willing and able buyers. The old saying applies, "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". I'm the bird, and the bush is a sale that may or may not happen the next day, resulting in unsold product and missed sale opportunities. If Panera is so concerned about not having enough product the next day, make more product so that the business makes more profits. The kind of business model used by this Panera does not "pass the smell test". It makes no business sense. Being more concerned about your bookkeeping than profits is not a good business case. I would think that your owner would be appalled at your trying to turn away business when you have product available that could be sold to a willing and able customer. I'm sure businesses in bankruptcy right now would love to trade places with you. Sure, you could hide the product next time from customer view, but not selling available product now to a willing and able buyer, hoping that you might be able to sell that same product the next day, makes absolutely no business sense. Panera is not in the business of bookkeeping. It's in the business of selling as much product as it can to maximize profit. Unlike McDonald's just down the road from this Panera, this Huber Heights Panera doesn't have the customer traffic to turn away ready, willing, and able customers. The parking lot is fairly empty a lot of the time, and there are plenty of empty seats inside, not to mention that their prices are quite steep, given that my two small brownies came to $7.58. That's like $2 a bite. Panera Customer Care Response: Thanks for reaching out! We want to apologize for the whole inconvenience regarding the purchase of the brownies batch that was meant for the next day, I completely understand the frustration on the situation I know I'll be disappointed as well, Unfortunately, as there are some cafes who permit the early purchase of the next day stock, some cafes have specific rules depending on the general manager of the store, But don't worry, I'll share this situation to the right team at Panera as feedback like this is important to our success, and we appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention. My response to Panera Customer Care Response: I think most customers would feel as I do that, if you have the product available, there is no reasonable explanation not to sell it to your customers. Using the excuse of "specific rules depending on the general manager of a store" is simply "arbitrary and capricious" read more

Not expecting much and expectations were met. The place was clean and inviting. We hit it on an off hour so crowds were not an issue. There was one person taking orders when we walked in but someone came up to a register and took our order right away. It didn't take too long to get what we ordered and it was what we expected. All the staff we interacted with were nice and friendly. There really wasn't an issue with anything but then again, we came at an off hour. read more

Panera Bread - Large ordering space - Salad Near Me - Huber Heights, Ohio

Great fast service and order was correct! Always helpful, asked for extra dressing and butter, request was met with a smile!

My wife had been wanting to try the Chicken salad sandwich on croissant for awhile. We stopped once and they were out of croissants, so today we tried again and they had them. The sandwich was a huge disappointment. It had tons of lettus/endive, but very little actual meat. We both got maybe one piece of grape and one or two pieces of almond slices. It also had almost no sauce on it. I don't know if they were scraping the bottom of that particular pan or what, but we stopped at 11:15 a.m., so it was before the lunch rush. We won't try this again that's for sure. read more

Went there 3/12/21 and it was dirty. I understand they are limiting tables at this time, however, all the tables that you were allowed to sit at were dirty. Had crumbs all over table and chairs. Even though the sign on the table said they were clean and you could sit there....they were not cleaned. My bagel was good!!! read more

I ordered bar-b-cue chicken whole sandwich and it was delicious. Got there about 1300, walked in, ordered and my food was ready within minutes. I came here to enjoy some soup and rewind for an hour, but what I got instead was a very dirty atmosphere. The seats and tables were disgusting and didn't look like they had been cleaned of all day (keep in mind I got there at 5 PM). I finally found a spot that was dirty but doable, I sat there for an hour. The whole hour I was there only 2 people came and ordered and only a single table was cleaned off. I could hear and see the workers joking around and talking and none of them bothered to come and clean. Don't even get me started on how overpriced the food is for very little servings. I would not recommend eating here to anyone. The workers were very rude and were playing on their phones not even bothering to ask what I needed. read more

Went in because the place we planned on was packed and i was wanting to hurry and eat to get home. Ordered a pick 2 for me and a pizza for my granddaughter. Went to a table and sat down to wait. When I saw the people who ordered in front of me get their food I walked on up. While I stood there other people came in and ordered along with a friend of mine. They all got their food and was done eating before I got my food. On top of not getting my food they also were out of the bread they serve it with and didn't know till I was standing there. Worst service I ever had there and no hurry to go back. Time was 21 mins to wait. The sandwich I got was thrown together with meat on half. read more

Panera Bread - Salad Near Me - Huber Heights, Ohio

So we unfortunately stopped here on our way through Ohio back to Indianapolis and it left us feeling HIGHLY disappointed. First off, it seems as if their traditional menu full of options has been available at every single Panera I've been to besides this one. They had maybe 5 salad choices and sandwich choices. I got the chipotle chicken avocado melt and a green goddess chicken cobb salad. My sandwich had literally no chipotle sauce on it. Like, I didn't even get a taste of chipotle. Strike 1. The salad was mainly field greens and little toppings. Strike 2. Now that I'm writing this in the car, I just realized there was NO chicken on the salad. Strike 3. I barely tasted any bacon and there was maybe a couple little onion pieces. If you are a Panera fan, you know they don't skimp on things but especially don't skimp on salads. I've never had a salad that wasn't packed full of stuff. My fiancé got the chicken Alfredo and it was legitimately the portion for a small child, not a grown man. Strike... 4? I ended up giving him my bread to hopefully fill him up so we could make it home without being hungry again in an hour. I don't think I have ever had anything but pleasant interactions at a Panera until this one. Lastly, employees were friendly and attentive as soon as we walked in. The food prep guys were bickering though and the entire dining area could hear them. We did hear a female yell at them to stop, but still. That could be why my order was essentially all wrong. Definitely not a $25 worthy meal. read more

I knew Panera's dining room was open now, so I decided to stop here on a road trip home. Used the restroom and was disappointed that the paper towels were out. Then when I stood in line, there was a large family in front of me that was still reading the menu. I was just going to order a coffee but was patient as they all ordered. A second employee came out from the back and looked right at me but didn't open a second register. Just to get my coffee it was not an in-and-out process like I thought it would be. I asked if some half and half could be put in my iced coffee so the employee said "of course" as he handed me an empty cup and showed me where the half and half was. I've been to other Panera's where they have to fill the cup for you but apparently this one still has a self-service station. I went to the back of the store (and had to socially distance behind the large family again as they decide on their drink selection) and filled my cup. Then I went back to the front counter to pour the half and half in. Maybe it's just me, but I thought that system could have been improved. read more

Interesting to see bad reviews from as long as five years ago--nothing seems to have changed. They were out of bread and one of the soups but didn't bother telling people until after they ordered and paid (including one man who'd ordered a bread bowl). Also out of tomatoes, which were supposed to be on my salad, but they didn't tell me at all, just served the salad without them. Messed up my husband's order twice. None of the employees were wearing masks except one who had it pulled down to her chin. Lots of joking around and chatting while customers waited. The woman at the register made as little effort as possible. Dirty tables. Tiny portions. I don't know why Panera corporate doesn't do something about this location. read more

Ordered online for delivery service for lunch at work for four people earlier this week. Our order was right and came faster than the estimated time of arrival. Our "Pick 2" combos with soup definitely seemed smaller in the take-out containers than when you eat in- it was like a small cup of soup rather than the bowls you get in the restaurant. Our only real complaint was that the side bagettes were just thrown in the bag, not even wrapped in napkins or anything. Otherwise, food was good and all the extras were there- spoons, napkins, etc. Will order again. read more

I'm writing this after going in several times a week. Same problems, not the food ,you walk in,hardly ever someone at counter, then when you order they forgot to give you cup for coffee, usually the cream is empty and you wait. The other day all tables that you were allowed to use were dirty, no where to sit, with about 6 people in the whole place. It's like there is no management, really the customer service just isn't trained no one in charge. read more

I'll try to keep this delicately critical. New locations are exciting and well ... New. BUT .. If clean newness is all you have to offer...well... My first experience (and my last for a very long time) ... Is that this is a shiny new Panera in a prime location with poor customer service and a staff that has not yet mastered the craft of Panera Cuisine. Three trips ...Three hours later .. From terrible food, to missing , to not refunding me for my missing after three trips there ... And then "appeasing" me with an unasked for series of two gift cards was an insult to injury. My opinion ... I'll drive an additional 5 minutes to Miller Lane for a seasoned Panera experience. Good Luck Panerians if you choose to stop here .. You just mind end up still being hungry but short your money ! read more

Good food, the bread wasn't hard or stale, and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Friendly staff as well!

I downloaded the Panera app this morning and placed an order for a breakfast sandwich and a scone. The order was placed as Rapid Pick Up. My intent was to swing by on my way to work and pick up my order at the drive-thru window. When I got to the drive-thru, I was told that Rapid Pick Up orders were no longer being handed out at the drive-thru....What?!?!?.... kind of defeats the purpose of "RAPID" pick up!!! So I had to park my car and go into the store to get my order (did I mention it was raining?). When I got back into my car I checked the bag and my scone was not included, so I had to go back into the store (still raining) to get my scone! Double fail Panera! read more

A very pleasant experience for a fast food restaurant. Cashier was a joy, pull a smile on my face 11/24/2021 1:08pm

I can only speak to my recent experience with this Panera, and only for the delivery, since I have only visited perhaps two Panera Breads in my life. That being said, given that the delivery options around the area are limited to pizza and Chinese, I was thrilled to see an ad that Panera was delivering in my area. I had to give it a try. The half salad, corn chowder, and mac and cheese came well packaged, even including a spacer at the bottom of the bag that the soup containers fit neatly into, to keep them from moving about during transport. The portions were just right, and the food was flavorful. i am happy to have a far healthier option for delivery here. Plus, the calorie information is clearly stated on their online ordering site. The only caveat is that the delivery fee is $3, but with pizza often charging delivery fees nowadays, and Chinese have a minimum delivery order amount, that's par for the course. The best part is that, even during the busy dinner rush period, I got my food in about a half hour. They've earned my return business and I hope they both keep up the good work with the delivery and improve their in-store experience so I can continue my patronage. read more

I do not typically rate anything on the internet, but our experience yesterday was ridiculous. We went in at about 10 am and placed an order for two ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches. We also ordered two fountain drinks (one water and a pop). We waited at least 15 minutes for our food (one of which was burnt and not edible). The kicker for this experience was the fountain machine being swarmed by fruit flys. All of that being said, we love Panera, but we will not go back to this location. read more

I travel a lot for my job and usually eat at Panera for all my meals. This is the only location where my order has been wrong every single visit. Twice now I've ordered a turkey sausage, egg white, and spinach breakfast sandwich and twice now I've gotten the sandwich with no turkey. I've also ordered the turkey avocado BLT sandwich and received no bacon and the fugi Apple chicken salad and received no chicken. There are better locations just miles down the road. Come on Panera, you can do better. I know you just opened, but the service isn't very good. Don't mill around when there are customers waiting. Don't think that customers know where to pick up food. This branch solicited our business when they first moved into the area. I work for a company who orders lunch at least twice a week for our customers or business meetings. Last week I ordered and they said they would not deliver to us because we were too far away. My company is 4.9 miles from them and their radius for delivery is 8 miles. Because Google Map has our directions messed up and shows us 12 miles away taking a ridiculous detour, they will not deliver to us even though we are literally right down the street from them. After much arguing, they ended up delivering and said that they would deliver to us if we promised a large tip to the delivery driver due to them going out of their way. Today I tried ordering again after they assured me we could get delivery and the manager told me they wouldn't deliver. I am beyond angry. read more

This Panera had terrible service. I called in my order, told them my name when I came in to pick up, the manager had recorded a different name and insisted that that was the name I had told her. I reassured her I knew my own name. We then left with our order, got out to the car and the coffee was cold. Went back in and they then proceeded to brew a new pot, very kind. Left the Panera's and got back out to the main road and realized that instead of the Steak and Arugula Sandwich that I had ordered, I had been given a steak breakfast sandwich. Did a u-turn and went back to get the correct order. I had to return twice for issues. I love panera but this was the worse experience I had ever had. Do not stop at this location. read more
