Food was great customer service was mediocre and wait times are variable so sometimes you might wait 3 minutes, other times 10

Amazing!! I've been wanting to try this place based off the photos and reviews here on Yelp and we…read morefinally made it down. Right to it! Vibe - Cozy, local, quiet city ducked off tavern feel. Just felt like a place people would come after work and shoot the crap with their favorite bartender or meet their bud for happy hour. Not touristy & obnoxious. Food - 10/10. Calamari was to die for. Probably gonna get some for takeout tonight since I'm thinking about it. I got the lamb. Lamp was tender and seasoned nicely. Brussels were perfect! Potatoes paired perfectly and the portions were huge. Man got the smothered chicken. Same Brussels but his dinner came with wild rice . Again, delicious. Drinks - gulped down. They had some fun festive cocktails for Halloween and the margarita I had was tasty. Could taste the liquor without being unbearable. Sweet enough without being syrupy and sickening. Just up my alley. Maybe not for everyone. Jeff, if I remember correctly was our server and he was great. Have nice recommendations. Was honest and open with his opinions which I appreciate. And service was steady. Didn't feel rushed or forgotten about. Can't wait to go back and try out some more of this neighborhood staple.

This place was fantastic, the kind of spot you're genuinely glad you stumbled into. The atmosphere had that perfect mix of cool and comfortable. I grabbed a beer, Stacy's Mom, and I'd order it again without thinking twice. My wife went for the Self‑Loathing Burger, which lived up to the hype. My daughter ordered the Mother‑Clucker (pictured), and after she gave me a bite, I immediately regretted not getting my own. I ended up with the Pittsburgher (also pictured), and it was outstanding, one of those sandwiches you keep thinking about afterward. Between the vibe and the food, it honestly felt like a little slice of heaven. Highly recommend stopping in for dinner.

Then he took us to a different table and stood in front of my boyfriend so he could not get to his seat. He then proceeded to chat about the history of the restaurant, getting nosy about why we chose. He then explained how the menu "worked," saying it was designed "with appetizers first, then salads, then sandwiches, and finally pizzas/stromboli and entrees. It was as if he thought we didn't know how menus work. Then he recommended foods that were horrible. The food itself was middling (roast beef sandwich) to awful (the tuna tartar, which was tasteless and drowning in super-salty teriyaki sauce. I also ordered a Cosmo, which was the worst Cosmo I've ever had. No flavor, not e ought cranberry juice or lime.

It was late afternoon, almost 5 PM. Our server, Adam was very friendly and accommodating. Then we ordered real food. PD had the Philly Cheesesteak. She said it was really good and fresh. I ordered a large Stromboli. Only after I had ordered it, did Adam start laughing at me. He contended I would never finish it. When he dropped it in front of me, It was obvious I had allowed my hunger to beat down my brains. I started into it. It was excellent. The bready parts and the cheese and the meat all were well balanced, especially if you liked a lot of cheese. The sauce it came with was also excellent. Although it was a marinara sauce, it was meaty enough that you would almost think it was a meat sauce. I made it halfway through, four pieces out of eight. PD had half of one piece so technically we ate more that half. Anyway, we enjoyed ourselves, we had some really good food and we discovered a great neighborhood bar/restaurant.

I probably should've stopped here sooner than today because this was an excellent buffet experience…read moresuper close to home, like 4 blocks away. Now that I know, I know to stop again and sample the variety of buffet offerings. A fellow customer told me the buffet dishes change every day so you have to come back multiple times to sample all of the different dishes. I will! Really clean and modern on the inside with entrances on N. 3rd St. and through Strawberry Square. Naan was tasty and crispy as were the samosas and onion rings. Really good saag paneer and chicken vindaloo (not spicy due to buffet) and an amazing Tika Masala, a (to me) boring dish, but this had a very rich and delicious flavor. All sauces i tried were amazing! I was too full to try dessert. Next time!

It has a street entrance and an inside entrance with Strawberry Square. Ambiance is nice. Everything is spotlessly clean. Buffet had a nice assortment of vegetarian and non vegetarian foods. Mix of options was very good. Everything tasted very good. The dessert was fabulous. Several entrees were fabulous. Everything was cooked perfectly. The only tiny complaint I would have is nothing was very spicy. They did have ways you could add heat. Through chutnies and pickles and sauces. But I really wish some of the dishes had more of that deep complex spicy flavor. Price was reasonable. The only major drawback was having to park and pay to park. It was eight dollars to park so you have to ask yourself if the price of the buffet plus the parking fee per person makes it worth it. I would say it was worth it to try it once. If you are already downtown for another reason, and you choose to eat there, you can't go wrong. It is fabulous food.

As I have said so many times before, I am a card carrying meat eater, but I absolutely love well…read moredone vegan food. This place definitely gets it right. Tucked away amongst all of the other bars and restaurants in downtown Harrisburg, this is the true definition of a hole in the wall. There is no indoor dining, there are just two tables out front. You order through the walk up window, and pick up your food. I brought my dinner back to my hotel. I had the "original CW", and it was amazing! It was chock full of goodies! Everything played so well with each other. It was rich, but not too rich. I could tell the difference with the " mushroom walnut meat", but not at all in a negative way. It was very savory, and it complemented everything else. The mango salsa was not spicy, and it provided a fantastic little pop of acid and sweetness, without overwhelming the rest of the meal. The star of the meal, was the "butternut squash cheddar cheese sauce" and the "cashew queso." if you told me that I wasn't eating "real cheese", I would find it hard to believe you. They were amazing. I finished the whole thing, and I was stuffed! For the quality and the quantity of the food, the price was extremely reasonable. I want to come back and try more things. Thank you.

Among the hustle and bustle of this big city there's a quiet secret known as "Ward of Health"…read more The next time you are in the Harrisburg, Pa. area, come try the raw plant based delights of this Latin style cuisine. The owner is a charming young, single dad who was a delight to speak with yet a master in the kitchen. My wife and I sampled both the "Top Flight Nachos " and the "Save A Crab Nachos". Both were flavored with crushed tortillas, mushroom walnut meat, shredded romaine lettuce, homemade guacamole, diced plum tomatoes, mango salsa, butternut squash cheddar cheese sauce, and cashew queso. Save a crab added a delicate portion of the save a crab blend. This gem of a cafe gets a 10 out of 10 in my book.

The reason I haven't been going for the past three years is that the last time we ordered a Reuben, it was the most disgusting sandwich I'd ever received. The meat tasted terrible, and the color was "off." The time before that the Blarney bread was undercooked and had so much mayonnaise on it that it was inedible. Two weeks ago, it was undercooked and cold in the middle. The more well-done pieces I was able to eat, but the little pieces I could not. The following week, we decided to try the newly opened section on the corner inside the old Arooga's. Two bartenders working, the bar was not that busy but one of the bartenders closest to us didn't even acknowledge or let us know that she'd be right with us. It took the other very attentive and excellent bartender at the other end of the bar to notice my eyes looking around for some help when she came over to take care of us. She was great! The petite blonde was absolutely the worst and I wish I knew her name so I could call her out in this review. I used to love this place and my previous review is five stars. It's definitely not the same as it was before so I'm not sure we will be visiting this establishment again.
