I love the salads, sandwiches, and soups offered. This place is always offering specials. I sometimes buy extra specials to have for another meal for me or family members. The orange scones have become one of my favorites. I ally buy the small bag for sharing. They are covered in an orange glaze. People are always friendly and eager to serve. I notice several students and professionals always hang out there while on lunch break and continue to work on their laptops. read more

Went last night and grabbed my food inside. I've never had an issue with this Panera, let me preface with that. When I was ordering the cashier asked if I wanted a drink, I said yes. I then proceeded to finish ordering, get a table, and get a drink. I get approached by a manager telling us we're stealing and that we were given water cups. I didn't know I didn't pay for drinks, especially when I was asked if I wanted a drink and said yes? I ended up handing him my drink because I didn't know I didn't pay for them, I definitely didn't ask for water cups, so how am I supposed to know? Especially when this is the first time in months I'm dining in?? On top of it they forgot a soup that I'd ordered and they didn't offer the pastry that's part of the deal. I don't think I'll be back to this Panera again, which is sad because it was one of the supposed better locations in Greenville. On top of it, my stomach hurt and I was on the toilet all night after eating the broccoli cheddar soup, which HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. Lunch here today. I had the Cuban sandwich with chips. The sandwich was bigger then I thought it would be, and the inside was very good. The bread is a little crunchy and chewy to me, but that is my preference, but it was still a good sandwich. Chips were my favorite, kettle, so crunchy. I also had the S'mores dessert. Looks great, but looks are not what I am eating here, lol. They graham cracker crust did not taste that great to me, and the chocolate just seemed fake. One of our favorite dinner spots when we want something casual. We normally do the pick two and have had several variations. My favorite is the tomato basil soup and grilled cheese. Classic comfort food,especially for a chilly day. Also love the Caesar salad. Most of the time I drink water, so I can 'cheat' with a warm chocolate chip cookie after my meal. Ha! Don't like when the place is full, the tables are close together in some sections -- and then it's like sitting with someone you don't know. To say their food is mediocre would be kind. It is inedible. Their staff are rude and ill informed as to their own menu. I waited in drive thru for 15 min to only be told that what I ordered was no longer part of their menu. When asked if they could compensate me for my trouble and having to order something my gf did not want I was told in no uncertain terms "no". Well, I frequent this location and today I decided to be lazy and not cook, so off I went to Panera. I ordered the new bacon, egg and cheese wrap with a blended cold brew caramel vanilla latte. Let me just say I love Panera, but this wrap was terrible. The wrap itself is too thick and doughy with not enough fillings. I was not impressed at all. I should have stuck to my regular egg and cheese on an Asiago cheese bagel. The other problem is I got charged 69 cents for a squirt of vanilla, however I was never informed there was an upcharge. I always look at my receipt when I receive them and I did tell the young girl who handed me my drink that they need to inform customers and she apologized and said she wasn't the one who took the order so I said no problem, but to make sure she passed it on as a "teachable moment"- not sure if she did or not. Yeah, it was only a few cents, but I should have been notified. On another note, the blended latte was pretty tasty! I look forward to returning to my favorite establishment soon! read more

Ordered Greek salad, and customized. Added chicken, cucumber and avocado with a $1 upcharge. Omitted some items as well. Simple enough I would think. Omitted items were fine, none were there. However, I only chicken was added. I tried to call and speak to manager about maybe at least getting the upcharge back or a credit or something and they let the phone ring and ring until it went busy. Never answered. So I ate my lame salad with no $1 extra avocado. And this after paying $5 tip for delivery and waiting for 45 minutes for delivery. Basically paid $15 for a $6 salad. Wouldn't leave a review had they just had enough customer service to answer their phone. Their receipt states " accuracy matters, call if order is not right" nice words that mean nothing apparently. At least 75% of the times I have stopped here I have been ignored by employees standing behind the counter. In every instance they have seen me and do not appear to be doing anything else, but won't make eye contact or speak to me. Several times, including today, multiple employees ignored my standing at the counter trying to order. This has been an issue at another local Panera so it appears to be a corporate issue and really poor customer service training. I like some of their food but am pretty much done with them. read more

There are exactly two outlets in the whole place. How do you remodel a restaurant and not add some electrical outlets so people can charge their devices? I don't know what it is about Panera but I'm just not really a fan. The food prices continue to climb and that would be ok if the food was worth the price. Panera offers a variety of salads but all of them are regular lettuce based. I would think they would occasionally try mixing it up with some mixed greens or spinach. They advertise themselves as a healthy option so... I do like there unsweetened tea options and the restaurant is very new and fairly clean although they were playing catch up on some of the trash receptacles and tables. The food pickup area is congested and does not flow well. Once you pick up your food you have to navigate yourself through a tight turn crowded with people either throwing away their trash or refilling beverages and grabbing condiments. Overall I'm not a huge fan of Panera but they do have loyal customers who seem to enjoy it. I will not recommend but you can feel free to try if haven't already. read more

This is my preferred Panera Bread location in Greenville. Great for lunch, and always plenty of free parking since it is located at Haywood Mall. Really never gets too crowded like other Panera locations. Eating here after church on a Sunday is perfect. Service is fast & friendly. They even have a dedicated employee double checking orders when you come to the counter to pick up your meal after your buzzer goes off. This location is good for kids, but not for large groups. Minus one star because I do not like having to do my own dishes after shelling out $20 for my wife and I to eat sandwiches. Highly recommend if you are near Haywood Mall and looking for a quick and tasty lunch. read more

Alright, I have to call out Carlos who works in the kitchen. I was there with a coworker and we were waiting for our to-go orders when he called my name. He pronounced it correctly, as in the actual French way. I was just griping to my friend about how many people butcher my name even if I just told them how to pronounce it. And he said it perfectly and when he paused and mentioned he hoped he pronounced it correctly it just made me smile so big. He made the effort and noted that the French he took in school paid off. I will certainly say so. That one moment he took had a huge impact on me. It's the small moments- always the small moments and they do matter. I don't mind paying a premium price if I think I'm getting a good value. The food here is decent, and obviously a lot of people agree because it was difficult to find a seat at lunchtime. But for me, I thought the 1/2 turkey sandwich was sparse, and the chicken chili was delicious but it just wasn't enough. I love that you can go straight in and not have to talk to a human. You just enter what you want on the kiosk and have a seat or sit by the pick up area until your food is ready. I also love getting to go. I bring my dog along in the car with me and the staff is always super excited to see a dog and always ask if they can give him a treat. read more

This location is super slow! You will wait no mater how you order, you will wait a long while. The parking lot is small and not efficient enough to hold all customers and drive thru cars. I come to this location bc of it is close to me and bc at least the food is always good. But I always know to expect to wait a while, especially the drive through and to just avoid the parking lot and park at the mall. read more

This is a sad excuse for a Panera. The environment is nice and all like usual, but my mom, sister, and I each ordered the "You Pick 2" and a regular sized green tea. We all got the same salad but different soups. My mom's soup was in a bread bowl and not even half filled. When she went to show them, THEY CHARGED HER FOR A BOWL OF SOUP. Are you freaking kidding me? Like you couldn't have "spared a ladle" seeing as you didn't even give her but like a spoonful to begin with? Literally disgusted at the customer service. To make matters worse, it was the manager who rung my mom up the second time and charged her for the soup. Like, I've worked in 5 different food places and never have I ever charged someone double for something that was my fault. My black bean soup was cold and my sister's had 2 HAIRS in it.
