I love paneras, we frequent the one in Manitowoc quite often and I have to say that compared to Sheboygan it's so much better. I live in Sheboygan but will drive the 20 min to get paneras in Manitowoc. Ive gone to Sheboygan twice now and each time, the salad bowl looks as though they smashed everything in and the sandwich is Flat. when I go to Manitowoc half a salad looks fresh and abundant put in the bowl nicely and the sandwiches are always Made well. You may want to send your employees there to find out what they're doing different. on another note for health reasons I don't like the idea of the salad dressing container being put into my salad. It just doesn't seem hygienic to me. I don't know food regulations allow you to do that. Other than that I do love Panera. I love their food. My first and last time going to FdL Panera. Maggie manager was not helpful or nice. We ordered 3 meals, cost over $53! The French onion soup was horrible. My cheese steak sandwich had more peppers than meat! My daughter's serving of Mac n cheese was so small and was all sauce with few noodles! Asked if they could switch soup for a different flavor? This Panera Bread location is the best one I have ever been to! So far the sandwiches I have tried have been great and I love that modifications are available! Everything always smells good, the macaroni and cheese look so creamy and delicious. The bagels are chewy and super soft on the inside, just like how a bagel should be. One of these times I am going to have to try a breakfast sandwich, I have tried all of the souffle all of which are fantastic, but my favorite is the spinach and artichoke. YIKES! Drive thru 2nd car in line. Order LARGE Hazelnut coffee with cream + bagel (toasted) + cream cheese = 22 minutes later (14 minutes at the window itself) I get a cold toasted incorrect bagel and a medium coffee that tastes like it was brewed last week! Bitter, bitter and did I mention bitter. Saw lots of people inside, can't understand why it takes so long. That's a very long time to get something that wasn't worth the wait nor the money. If I could leave zero stars I would. This is the dirtiest location I have ever been to. I am still seething with rage as I write this! Most of the employees are on their phones and make the loudest obnoxious cries that I've ever heard, similar to an upset infant. The line takes forever to move, and when I'm finally at the counter and am met with complete rudeness. I see trashcans with trash on the floor around them. I order and grab my cup to get a soda, and flies come out of the spout! I immediately ask for a manager, I think her name was Tia or Taya, and she is very rude and dismissive. Both of my experiences with the Panera in Fond du lac have been drive through. The food was fresh and hot and the server at the window was pleasant. Great atmosphere and tastey food. Wonderful service! Portion size to price needs to be adjusted as its a bit high for the quantity you receive. I received a ceasar salad and it was a sad sight. I ordered at the "fast order" kiosk . It took cole to 10 minutes to get 2 loaves of bread and 3 bagels . So much for fast order ! Then I asked for my receipt and they kept giving me the order receipt ...no pricing on it . I asked for the manager which had to be found . She was rude and when she couldn't figure out how to print a receipt out she told me I should have asked for one to begin with . The place is a useless restaurant of sorts . I've been to Panera drive throughs before and I am aware they aren't the speediest. But this was a new level of disappointment. They seemed to be out of everything and it was clear the person taking our order didn't want to be there. When we finally got our food, the bozo hadn't secured the lid to a Mac and cheese and it had leaked into many other items. The Mac and cheese was cold and practically a soup. My family is also convinced the staff is not taking necessary precautions to stay cleanly i.e. washing hands and cleaning tables. The absolute worst place in the world. My girlfriend loves it. So we've been here 10+ times. Every time they screw something up. Most of the time it's the complete wrong order. When you get a salad you never get a fork and have to go back inside to get one when in the drive through. It's always a 10 min wait in the drive thru when only getting one thing. Stopped by for lunch and had a soup and half sandwich combo. With a drink it set me back just under $12. Some reviewers have complained about Panera being pricey considering the cheaper places around it. Okay, Panera isn't as cheap as the fast food burger joints around it nor can you "super size" your meal so you walk out stuffed but considering the quality ingredients they use compared to those other places I think $12 is still a pretty good deal. And as to portion size, well I'm a pretty big guy and while I may have not walk out of there stuffed I certainly have never walked out of Panera hungry. All that being said, Panera is a massive fast food chain. Don't go in with super high expectations, but you certainly can expect fresh food a few notches above your standard fast food chain fare. read more

Coming from a customer service background I am floored at how unprofessional the said to be manager JEN treated me. I had placed an order via the Panera App at 626 am & arranged for it to be prepared and ready by 726am. When I arrived at 730 it still wasn't ready, I simply asked how long it might be and she verbatim said "being this order just came through it's going to be awhile" with the rudest tone and even a nasty look to accompany it... Now whether that be true, that it might take awhile, that's fine, but tell me with an apologetic manner and respect. Don't make me as a customer feel belittled and as if I had done something wrong by asking. I went here on my birthday, because I absolutely adore the lemonade. As soon after I order, I go by the drink station to realize the lemonade bin is empty. I ask the front desk to refill it.
