The food is tasty and fresh. The prices are good for the quality. I like the ambiance at Panera. The service is always good!

I have to confess I've only started going to Panera after Atlanta Bread Company closed. Even though I saw a little bit of the charm of AB leave over the years, I was loyal. The first item I ordered was the Green Goddess salad. MAN! That's a good salad. I think their service a little slow but next time I'll utilize the app to get it much quicker. I may try other things eventually but while I'm on low carb, the GG salad is my favorite. I'll run that one in the ground until I can't stand it. read more

Their chicken noodle soup is so small portion for a bowl. I was disappointed the moment it came out. 8 dollas for a chicken noodle bowl (or should i say mini bowl). My friend said normally it came with a small roll or baget, but unfortunately it wasnt there. It also comes with the option of an apple or chip. Funny I havent had Panera in like 5 years and was craving it. Looks like its gonna be another 5 more years till i try it again lol. Oh Shout out to my cute cashier, Niya! Her smiles perf! Their green tea was the main reason i came back and it satisfied me to no end read more

I am so saddened with this location, it's leadership and accountability for not completing orders is horrible. This location continues to deteriorate, the GM takes not initiative to solve the situations or complications the employees do. read more

Panera Bread is a great place for sandwiches and pastries, they also have decent coffee choices. The service here is great; the order takers are friendly and give you a buzzer that goes off when your food it ready to pick up. I usually get the Italian combo with french onion soup when I go to Panera and both are great, but this last time I ordered a broth bowl (trying to lose this gut) and it wasn't quite as tasty, but it did the job. read more

Took a half hour for them to make me a half caesar salad...when I asked them how much longer it would be, they ignored me and pretended I didn't say anything at all. Then they just handed me the bag. Poor service, poor attitudes. read more

When you're paying nearly a Hamilton ($10) for each sandwich there is an overwhelming expectation that if a picture is shown on the menu, it'd better look similar to what you're served. The food here can easily be a 4-star but fell short by underwhelming preparation and poor service. = FOOD = The delivery of such an expectation was considerably underwhelming when I ordered an Avocado BLT ($8.29) (picture) and only received a quarter of an avo, placed on only half of my sandwich. Really? It wouldn't have been bad if it was at least a whole avocado (only costing $1 at the store) because I could have spread it around myself. Gasp, disappointing. My wife ordered the Almond chicken salad sandwich ($7.29) (picture) and the bread was super soft with chicken so flavorful. The seasoning was light but was just enough to enjoy. = SERVICE = The manager and cashier chatting with customer while 5 people are in line and the other register is counted by two employees. Saving grace was the 3 minute time to give us our food. I was a bit confused as you have to grab you food from a back counter near the bathrooms, but they assume you notice the hidden spot. read more

I flip-flop back and forth on whether I love them or not. I guess it depends on what time you come in for your cinnamon crunch and cream cheese or pay through the nose for a soup that gets smaller every year and sandwiches that get smaller and smaller thanks to the "artisanal" breads they use. I miss the good old days when a bowl of use could fit in my giant melamine bowl at home. Now a bowl of soup fits in a cereal bowl and it leaves me hungry and cranky. The pros: 1. Free Wi-Fi for 1 hour during lunch hour 2. A wide variety of self serve coffees 3. A selection of baked goods that appeases the toughest group of picky eaters 4. They're open at 6:00 a.m. 5. They have a Panera card that gives you offers periodically Now the cons: 1. The portions have gotten smaller while the prices get hiked up higher and higher 2. The tables are never clean! 3. Sometimes the stuff in the bakery case is hard and doesn't taste fresh 4. The line to order is loooooong! 5. Their soups come out of a bag and they mix old with new. I found cheese chunks in my French Onion when I asked for no cheese and no croutons. Gross! Sometimes I have to buckle 'cause my stomach just misses tomato bisque or chicken wild rice so much it overpowers my mental capacities. Panera is definitely a once in awhile treat for me after 16 years of watching the quality go downhill after it stopped being the St. Louis Bread Co. 22/2014 read more

Panera always satisfies my post workout cravings without adding any guilt. Many of the fast food choices aren't very healthy. Panera has many healthy items to choose from. My most recent visit I tried the Turkey Avocado BLT. The sandwich is prepared with chunks of white turkey and enough lettuce ,tomatoes, and bacon to make a salad. I also appreciate their offering of naturally flavored un-sweetened ice tea choices. read more

They always forget my utensils and it's a 50/50 toss up on whether or not your meal will include your side of choice, that is if they even remember to put any side in at all. No napkins either. I come to this Panera every time I work because I work in the area. Some days are better than others, but this morning was really disappointing. Upon ordering a bacon, egg, and cheese, I was told that they had no regular bacon at the moment, only chopped bacon. This led me to believe that nothing they prepare is fresh. Everything comes pre-made. I was also told that their system for ordering iced drinks is down, so I couldn't get the drink I usually get there. When the sandwich came, the egg on top was cold which was a little disturbing: everything really is pre-made and just heated. For a place that seems to preach on having good for you food, it's a shame that they don't make things fresh on premises. And to not have the various things that people will order is unacceptable. UPDATE: I came back in for lunch to find that their ordering system was down for a while. When it finally began working, they forgot to add chicken to my caesar salad, wrote a completely random name on my order, and didn't ask for my rewards card. read more

Normally the sandwiches are decent but tonight I got a 4 cheese grilled cheese...the description from the website "Fontina, sharp cheddar, Monteau and smoked Gouda on Country Rustic." Sounds delicious, right? A couple kinds of shredded cheese on toast...for $8??! Maybe not be so skimpy with the cheese or actually grill the bread rather than run it through a toaster and it would be a decent sandwich. I made it much better at home by adding some cheese and a tomato. If you want a quality grilled cheese, try McAlisters. read more

Panera food is always great but this is based off of the service. Everything was fine. Ordered my half sandwich and pasta (a lot of food for one person but I'm pregnant and hungry). Go to pick up my food and I'm alone so i don't exactly have an extra set of hands. Get to the window and my sandwich and pasta are on separate plates. I have a purse on one shoulder. A drink in hand. Because i don't want to leave it and it get cleaned. I ask the worker if they have a try. Doesn't even look at me and says "Sorry Ma'am no we don't." Left to fend for myself. Another worker asks if i need help and i say yes please but he continues to stare at me. So i decide to just fend for myself. Had to tuck my drink in my arm and carry both plates. Lucky that i didn't drop it with how clumsy i am. Fail Panera. read more

Food is amazing here. but honestly the customer service sucks. Everyone is rude or has an attitude and just not friendly.

We've gone to this location a few times its dirty..always out of menu items the workers are rude, bathrooms are extremely dirty and one stall doesn't lock, the floors are dirty. Carpet area looks like it hasn't had any attention in quite some time area where drinks are dispensed are dirty. they really don't seem to care if people come back or not. I heard comments from other customers about the cleanliness of the place. I'd rather drive further to a cleaner place to eat. I don't usually write reviews but I hate to see a place like this continue this way. Poor service very poor attitudes,,,needs a real step up from management to get things right. I hadn't been to Panera Bread for ages until last weekend when we were craving bagels. The decision to get some also resulted in us choosing to use the Rapid Express to get lunch. The food was great, as were the bagels. My only complaint was that two of my tubs of cream cheese were not in the bag when I got home, and they were out of plain bagels. I called about the cream cheese, and the girl was very nice, apologized, and put it aside for me to pick up later. We decided to order dinner as well and pick it up along with the cream cheese. No complaints on that visit. Last night we went back for more bagels, some bread, and for dinner. My scheduled order was not ready, so I had to wait almost 20 minutes. Not so rapid. Then, half the bagels I wanted were gone. They only had about 5 flavors left. I finally headed to the car, but checked my bag... My loaf of bread wasn't there. I headed back in the store... They were out of it as well, so I made arrangements to pick it up today. (I was not the only person having a frustrating visit.) When we arrived home, one of my sandwiches was missing, so I placed another phone call. That time I got the manager. She was very apologetic and thanked me for my patience. She left a note for me to get a whole sandwich today when I went in, which is actually what I ordered. Today, the gentleman waiting on me was very nice and also apologetic. We got lunch from there with no isses, I received my bread and sandwich, and he also gave me the 6 bagels I wanted last night for free. Despite some issues, the food is always great and the customer service is amazing. I will go back, and hopefully things will run a little more smoothly. read more

I've eaten at this location before and have had mediocre food experiences. Today's trip wasn't one of them, thankfully. I had a pick two: Teriyaki Chicken sandwich and Mac n cheese. Good meal. What really peeved me was the staff. I understand it's Covid operations, so business may be slower than usual; however, the cashier was whining about having to do work and not wanting to answer the phone, huffing and puffing in an attempt to garner the attention of her colleague. I came in to eat and do some academic reading. The dining room was sparsely populated -- ideal scene for restaurants trying to open up during the pandemic. I wasn't able to focus on my reading because the cashier, the other colleague, and a manager-looking individual were conversing loudly to one another, behind the counter. At one point, during their gossip exchange, the cashier said, "let me calm down before these customers are disrupting their eating." I couldn't tell if it was a colleague or the manager, but someone followed with, "Why? They have headphones." I did not; I generally enjoy the bustle of a cafe to get work done. This experience, however, was not enjoyable. Through their "tea spilling," I heard exclamations of "Drag her! Draaaaagg her!" I had enough of their banter and left. This is not to say, "Focus only on work -- no fun allowed!" This was just unprofessional (especially on the part of the manager), excessive, and highly disrespectful to customers. read more

I'm new to Panera but it's slowly starting to grow on me. I really like this location, the staff is helpful in making choices and in explaining where to go and how to get your food (if you're new like me). I recommend their Mac and cheese! Panera Bread - Their always delicious Mac and cheese with some much needed broccoli cheddar soup - Sandwiches Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

They were out of most breads. Did not inform guest until it was time to make the sandwich. Looked under staffed. Every employee was ignoring customers. My sandwich was a bbq chicken sandwich. They were out of the flat bread, the sandwich hat very little bbq sauce in the middle of the whole wheat bread (I ordered the sandwich as a panini). Suprise. .The onion soup was warm and had a little shredded cheese on top, not melted. I tried a Twist from the fountain. BIG MISTAKE, the drink had an awful taste. From my past job the probable cause was a unclean and unsanitized machine. read more

I frequent Panera but the quality of the salad was not good. It use to be a definite go to place for a healthy choice. I threw it away.

It breaks my heart to have to write a BAD review for one of my favorite restaurants (one of which I have not been able to enjoy this year while be stationed in Mississippi). This location does not even deserve one star... From the full trashy can both inside and out to very unprofessional service...I should have known better to expect my food to at least be decent. Some one ahead of me complained that their sandwich was not as "full" as it has been in the past (not a lot of turkey- and he was right) then, as he walked away my cashier complained to the other worker about him- and not quietly might I add, I could hear her while I was standing over by his booth waiting for my to go order. I received my food, and noticed they forgot my bread bowl- whatever, it happens, I went back inside and asked for one...I leave and much on my baguette on the ride home. I get home, so excited for my French onion soup and grilled cheese. HOW!? Howwwwww do you screw up a grilled cheese?? It was barely toasted...and the cheese was not melted all the way through. I open my soup cup, pour it in my bread bowl- and it is basically ONLY onions....no broth. This is not soup. This is soggy, salty onions- blah. After seven hours on the highway...having Panera for dinner was my motivation to get Augusta by 8pm. I'm really sad :( haha. read more

Wow! Super fast service at lunch time on a Friday! I had ham and cheese on a croissant. It's my go to! Not awesome. I prefer Panera to ABC, mostly because I feel like in my experience the bread has been better. That was not the case here. They do serve Pepsi products (YAY), and I like their bagged kettle cooked chips much more than the ones over at ABC. I'd venture to say that I'll go back, but if I'm hitting this kind of deli place in Augusta I personally feel like Jason's is better. Or Panera in Evans. read more

Artisinal creations in realms of pastry, cafe', and sandwich abound in this breadhouse. I fell in love with Panera many moons ago. Weekend roadtrips to the "A" almost always include a jaunt over to Lenox where shopping abounds and lunch at Panera was a given. Soups, sandwiches and muffins galore for us to devour as we discussed our purchases. I always liked to take a few muffins and Cobblestone loaves back with me to toast and enjoy back at my residence hall to remind me of my funtimes with friends in school in the ATL. ***FASTFORWARD to now*** I have visited many locations and everytime I do... *eyes glaze over in delight* (How this all takes me back!) *waves hand in swooping motion from left to right as if surveying land from atop a hill and it all belongs to me* Thx,Panera, for the memories and delicious food! read more

I ordered a chicken noodle group soup, and it came to $17 after tax. For about 15 minutes, people were shouting about group soup lids but nobody went looking. Finally they decided to put in 4 bowls. While I was waiting, 4 different customers came up to the counter complaining of a wrong orders and a burnt sandwich. Not a single employer apologized, but looked incredibly annoyed. When I got my bag, I kid you not, there was not a single noodle in any of the bowls. I checked every single container, only carrots could be found. So I went, and very nicely explained that I just wanted a refund, and that not a single noodle was in the bowl. The manager didn't apologize once. I've visited this Panera a few times since moving to the Augusta area. One thing that is nice about this location is that it's no where near as busy as the location in my hometown! It has always taken less than 15 minutes to get food, which is always nice. I have never had a problem with the food I have been served at this location -- it is always hot and seemingly fresh. (For lunch, I recommend getting the You Pick Two deal with a Mediterranean Veggie sandwich and Garden Vegetable soup). As for the not-so-positive things I have experienced at this location. Parking is somewhat minimal compared to other locations I have visited. It's a hit-or-miss in regards to the staff; sometimes they're pleasant, sometimes they're rude. This is the only Panera that I have visited where I have run into this problem, but rudeness just seems to be a common thing in the Augusta area. Lastly, my husband always complains about how the Big Kid Grilled Cheese is never thoroughly cooked. Sometimes, it just looks toasted and the cheese is no where near melted.
