I was rescheduled for Monday at 8am, only to wait again and be told the part still hadn't arrived. I've now driven across town twice for nothing. The plastic they put over my trunk flew off within minutes, and it rained this weekend so now my trunk is wet too. No urgency, no apology, and no concern for the inconvenience. They assured me from the very first appointment they would be able to get this job done with no problems as long as I gave them the right gasket and windshield. They came out on a Tuesday morning after not showing up on a Monday. They were happy to get the windshield out and make sure there were no issues with my frame. As soon as they tried to get the windshield back in that is where disaster struck. They tried for two hours to get half on my windshield in place, but they were unable to. The technician told me they needed to get a few more tools. The owner told me they needed to hire a new technician. Either way, I understood it can be a hard job and I was very understanding. They put crash wrap on the front of my windshield and told me it would protect my RV from Weather and damage. However, that was not the case it rained for three days and I have major water damage all over the front dash and electrical systems of my home/RV. After rescheduling me for 4 days back to back and not showing up I reached out to see when they had me on there schedule. They expressed they wouldn't be able to come until they hired a new technician... when it was time for them to finally come back out, they won't! They are telling me to hire another company They are explaining that this is not their fault because I never paid them. ( the wouldn't accept payment up front which I offered to the techs) How do I pay for a job that is not completed? I think anyone who can read this review can understand that when a company comes to work on something of yours, it is their job to make it better if not, at least be able to put it back in the same order it was when they first arrived if they are unable to do the job. Sentry auto glass has done nothing but give me excuses and pass the blame back onto me as if I were the one to take out my own windshield and not be able to replace it. I was not going to go to Safelite if they couldn't get this brand of windshield. On day of appointment confirmed they had the pilkington windshield at location. When checked in also confirmed. Well, when we got our car no word from the place they didn't have pilkington they just put in Fuyao with no mention of it. And not only that but the quality of their calibration was poor as my front collision detection doesn't work and there was adhesive all over my paint of my car! They do not have good quality service at all. They also charged me for windshield wipers they didn't replace. I complained to my insurance company and safelite and after calling numerous times over the week I finally got a manager to call me. He told me sorry we can't get pilkington...a bit too late to tell me that. But he said good news "I was told that pilkington makes fuyao windshields" so you are good. This is a complete lie! Also he was telling me for my troubles he would give me another pair of windshield wipers. Ridiculous. The pilkington glass is available but they choose to not install as it is more expensive and doesn't bring them new business like fuyao which will have issues much sooner. They charged my insurance 1400 for a cheap windshield and poor quality install. This is insane as I just bought my son a pilkington windshield for his car installed with calibration in CA for 600 out of pocket. I will never ever go to Safelit again and will be reporting them to state AG and BBB unless they fix this issue and do what they said they were going to do.
