Mask mandate but a packed room! When we checked in, we were immediately told that only one person could go in to see the doctor (again, but waiting in a packed room!). I told the receptionist that my husband is almost deaf and cannot see well (think about fine print when you have a huge dark spot in your eyes), and that I was with him to ensure that he understands the procedure, the pre- and after-care, and the possible risks associated with surgery. Also, as his spouse and caregiver, I should know all this as well. Still: No, only one person can go into the room. Very upset, we left and when we came home, I called the office to complain and let them know that this is discrimination against a disabled person, denying him his patient's rights. Then we were told that he was not scheduled to talk about surgery but for yet another injection. Also, IF the doctor wanted to talk to me, I would have been called in. That is not what my husband heard at his previous appointment. Based on the denial of assistance plus the way it was communicated to us, we will not return to Georgia Retina.

I went there with the understanding that the DR was doing surgeries at Rockdale Hospital. when they were setting up my surgeries, I informed them that I may not be able to get transportation to Atlanta. I was not able to, so I ended up canceling more than a month in advance. But I guess, to get me back, they charged me 385.00 for nothing. It was more than my bill for the two test. I paid 211.00 something for a prepayment and lost it because my bill was about doubled. As of now, I am having to wait to save up money to see another DR. I am on S S and Medicare, and its very hard to save. I do not believed the DR knew about this, because he knew my situation. I am still waiting on my refund. Their finance people left me on hold one day, telling me they would be right back, left me on hold until the place was closed. And that's the truth!! They were tired of me calling. Never in my 71 years has anyone treated me this way!! The first time I called I was told I may be charged a small fee to get my refund. I know they tape it. After that, I was charged the385.00. Still waiting on my money. Really hope they make it right!!!!
